XP Sports: An Exclusive Look At Their Advanced Esports Supplements

XP Sports Logo

XP Sports has finally arrived and they’re fully equipped with advanced gaming supplements!

It’s the year 2020, and gaming is on another level. The rise of esports has made the world rethink what video games are all about — it’s all fun and games until money, sponsorships, and bragging rights are on the line. As the esports industry has grown, the competition has become far more fierce.

Esports athletes are always looking for ways to improve their performance, just like professional bodybuilders, powerlifters, or strongman competitors. If you’re trying to be the best at any sport you participate in, then supplements may give you an extra boost. Gaming is no exception.

Unfortunately, several supplement companies try to market their pre workout supplement or nootropic as a “gaming supplement”, and they almost always fail to deliver the results that a top-level gamer is after. There’s a huge need for gaming-specific supplements, and new ingredients geared just for gamers have entered the market in response. The most important of them is nooLVL® from Nutrition21.

We’ve seen supplement companies release fully-fledged gaming products, but new brands that only produce gaming supplements are also also hitting the scene. One of the newest to enter the esports supplement industry is XP Sports.

Gamers Deserve More From the Supplement Industry

XP Sports is preparing to launch several supplements formulated to optimize gaming performance. After looking at their formulas, testing some lab samples, and getting to know more about the brand – we’re very excited about their arrival. The first thing to catch our attention is two of XP Sports’ first three products – Zero Lag and Boost Pre-Game – which have the full clinically-studied dose of nooLVL®. This ingredient, which has been studied on real gamers playing modern games, is included in the top gaming supplements in the industry, so in order to compete, it has to be in your formula!

XP Sports will not be officially launched for a few months, but we have a full preview of everything that’s coming so you know what to expect! Before you go any further, make sure to sign up for XP Sports news and deal alerts to stay updated.

The Power of nooLVL® From Nutrition21

There’s a growing number of gaming supplements on the market, but the ones that perform the best include the clinically studied dose of nooLVL®, which is 1.6g.

nooLVL

nooLVL™is another one of Nutrition21’s best selling ingredients and it’s dominating the gaming supplement scene!

We’ve written about this ingredient several times, but what’s so interesting about nooLVL® is that there’s a study showing that it’s extremely effective at boosting overall gaming performance, as measured by reaction time, mental energy, speed, decision making, and accuracy.[1] Furthermore, the study used actual gamers as the subjects and some of the most popular games from 2019 — including Fortnite, Madden, and Call of Duty.[1]

NooLVL® is a trademarked ingredient from Nutrition21 – an industry leader in ingredient development and research. NooLVL® is made up of bonded arginine silicate with an extra dose of inositol. Nutrition21 developed nooLVL® after research discovered that their other well-known trademarked ingredient – Nitrosigine® – was capable of enhancing brain function.[2]

Nitrosigine® is typically found in pre workout supplements and stimulant-free “muscle pump” products because it’s a powerful nitric oxide booster, resulting in improved blood flow, nutrient/oxygen delivery, and metabolic waste removal.[3] Nitrosigine® is also made up of a combination of bonded arginine silicate and inositol, so how is nooLVL® any different?

More Inositol, More Brain Power

The standard dose of Nitrosigine® is 1.5g, whereas nooLVL® is 1.6g — the extra 100mg comes from an increased amount of inositol! It turns out that inositol is a key component of brain function, and adding an extra amount makes it prime for boosting gaming performance. Inositol is an essential carbocyclic sugar that’s primarily found in the brain and is involved in several key physiological processes, including cell signaling, cell membrane stabilization, and osmoregulation.[4,5]

PricePlow Inositol Graphic

Nutrition21 also makes nooLVL, and it’s one of the top ingredients for egaming supplements!

Studies have shown that inositol enhances cognitive function through stimulation of a secondary messenger pathway called the phosphatidylinositol (PI) cycle.[5] The PI cycle is utilized to translate signals between cells and neurons, thus it’s essential for both fine and gross motor movement patterns, reaction time, decision making, accuracy, and focus — all crucial components of optimal gaming performance.[5]

Why gamers thrive on more inositol – our theory on depletion

Though there’s no research on this yet, we theorize that long bouts of mentally demanding tasks, such as gaming, depletes levels of inositol. Therefore, supplying an extra amount through supplementation can make a big difference on overall cognitive function. Low levels of inositol have a strong correlation with anxiety and depression because it plays a key role in maintaining a balance between dopamine and serotonin.[6]

The perfect storm for gamers

It turns out that nooLVL® is the perfect storm for maximal cognitive performance — the stabilized arginine silicate increases blood flow to the brain, while the extra shot of inositol works its brain-boosting magic! Nutrition21 is starting to dominate the esports supplement industry and rightfully so — we would argue that if a gaming product doesn’t contain nooLVL®, you’re missing out!

XP Sports has a lot more to offer than just 1.6g of nooLVL®, but that’s the first thing that really stood out to us and made us diver deeper into their products. So let’s see what else they have!

An Exclusive Look At XP Sports’ Formulas

If you check out their website at xpsports.com, you can join the brand’s email list to get updates on the launch. Furthermore, you’ll see that they list what products are releasing and some of the ingredients — they don’t fully disclose the full formulas.

Fortunately, we reached out and got permission from XP Sports to show our loyal readers the complete supplement facts panels! You won’t be able to see it anywhere else — not even on the brand’s own website! That’s one of the many perks of following along with PricePlow — we provide you with the latest industry news, so you always stay in the loop.

XP Sports is set to launch three products. Here’s some information about each one:

  • Boost: Pre-Game + Focus Amplifier

    XP Sports Boost

XP Sports Boost is a complete pre-game and focus amplifier!

The first product in XP Sports lineup is Boost — a pre-game and focus amplifier that’s packed with several trademarked ingredients at solid dosages. Boost was formulated with advanced level gaming in mind, meaning that it’s designed to enhance performance, support eye health, and increase mental energy, alertness, and focus. Boost will give you the edge you need to power through an intense gaming session, and hail victorious!

One thing that you’ll notice on the label is that some ingredients have the exact doses listed, while others are a part of a blend, thus it’s not a fully disclosed label. Fortunately, we do know the dosages of the key ingredients such as nooLVL®, NeuroFactor®, FloraGLO® Lutein, and caffeine content.

Since Boost is fairly stacked, it lists dosages for both a one scoop (8g) and two scoop (16g) serving size, allowing you to easily customize your intake. But for the amounts listed below, we used the full two scoop serving size!

Boost will be available in Rainbow Candy and Sour Lime Pucker Face — two flavors that gamers will love. Lastly, it comes with 30 servings per tub, so you get a full month’s supply if you game every single day and if you take one scoop, that can be extended as far as 60 days. As always, we recommend starting with half of a serving to assess your tolerance.

XP Sports Boost Pre Game Ingredients

XP Sports Boost is packed with 1.6g of NooLVL to take your gaming to the next level!

Here’s what two scoops (16g) of XP Sports Boost provides:

    • Performance Amplifier Plus Blend

      NooLVL® (arginine silicate inositol) – 1.6g
      N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine Hydrochloride – 200mg

  • Zero Lag: Focus & Energy + Eye Health Support

    XP Sports Zero Lag

Prefer a capsule based product opposed to a powder, than Zero Lag is a great option!

The second product launching is Zero Lag — a capsule-based supplement that contains 60 capsules in each bottle. With a recommended serving size of 3 capsules, you’ll receive 20 servings per container. Zero Lag was formulated to increase overall gaming performance, heighten mental energy and focus, and support eye health.

For a serious gamer, nothing is more important than eye health, which is why XP Sports is putting such a big emphasis on it with each product. Staring at a screen for hours on end can be very harmful and stressful on your eyes, therefore giving the body more nutrients to support overall eye health is crucial. Eye strain can significantly decrease gaming performance — just another reason why it makes sense to put ingredients in these products, such as FloraGLO® Lutein to combat that issue.

Yet again with Zero Lag, we know some of the ingredients’ dosages, but others are hidden by a blend. It shares some of the same ingredients with Boost, but has its own unique features such as sustained-release caffeine in the form of zumXR®, SerinAid®, and an Adaptogen Blend that features several botanical ingredients.

However, most importantly, it contains 1.6g of nooLVL® — one of the only ingredients studied in real gamers![1] Based on this formula, we wouldn’t recommend taking Boost and Zero Lag together, it’s best to try each one on its own and see what you prefer. Also, if you don’t want to drink a powder, then capsules are a great option!

    XP Sports Zero Lag Ingredients

Zero Lag also contains 1.6g of NooLVL along with a potent Adaptogen blend!

Here’s what one serving (three capsules) of XP Sports Zero Lag delivers:

    • Focus & Energy Plus Blend – 2.21g

      NooLVL® (arginine silicate inositol) – 1.6g
      Choline Bitartrate
      SerinAid® (Phosphatidylserine-enriched soy lecithin) – 200mg (supplying 100mg of phosphatidylserine)
      Caffeine Anhydrous – 100mg
      zumXR® Caffeine (sustained-release) – 50mg
      AlphaSize® (Alpha-Glyceryl Phosphoryl Choline) (Alpha-GPC)
    • Adaptogen Plus Blend – 205mg

Sensoril® Ashwagandha extract (as Withania somnifera) (root and leaf) (supplying withanolides) – 125mg
FloraGLO® Lutein (as Tagetes erecta) (flower) (standardized to 10% lutein) – 30mg
Asian Ginseng extract (as Panax ginseng) (root) (standardized for 5% ginsenosides)
Rhodiola extract (as Rhodiola rosea) (root) (standardized to rosavins and salidrosides)
Huperzine-A (from Huperzia serrata) (aerial parts)

  • Gummies: Mental Clarity + Eye Health Support

    XP Sports Gummies

XP Sports Gummies give you a nice snack that also boosts gaming performance, and they are caffeine free!

Finally, XP Sports Gummies are here to curb cravings and boost your performance! If there’s one thing that seems to go hand-in-hand with gaming, it’s eating candy or something sweet. Thus, XP Sports decided to capitalize on this dynamic duo by creating a supplement that improves mental clarity, supports eye health, and enhances your ability to adapt to stressful situations.

Out of all the supplements we review, PricePlow hasn’t come across very many gummies in the sports supplement industry that are really popular. However, when it comes to egaming supplements, we think it’s a brilliant idea and are surprised that more companies haven’t done this already.

Each tub of XP Sports Gummies includes 80 gummies with a recommended serving size of 4 gummies, you’ll get a total of 20 servings. Initially this product is releasing in just one flavor – Sour Citrus Jujube – but we’re confident that more are on the way! Unfortunately, XP Sports Gummies do contain calories, therefore if you are tracking, just be aware of that. Also this is the only product from XP Sports that we know the full formula, as every dosage is listed on the label.

It includes fairly simple and effective ingredients with no caffeine, meaning you can take it while gaming at night! Since the other supplements have a good amount of caffeine, it’s best to avoid consuming those 4 hours prior to sleep.

XP Sports LVL Up Gummies Ingredients

Boost your mental clarity, support your eye health, and adapt to stress with XP Sports LVL Up Gummies!

Based on the formula, XP Sports Gummies would be great to stack with Boost for extra mental clarity, stress reduction, and eye health support!

Here’s what you’ll find in one serving (4 gummies) of XP Sports Gummies:

    • Nutrition Facts:

      Calories: 45
      Carbohydrates: 11g
      Sugar: 7g
      Fat: 0g
