Cellucor C4 ULTIMATE On the Go Pre Workout Cans Revealed!

When we recently covered the Cellucor C4 on the Go, there was debate as to whether it was an energy drink or a pre workout supplement.

Well, there’s no question with this one. This is a fully-fledged pre workout RTD Can!

Our C4 Ultimate on the Go Review

After all the hype and excitement below, the verdict is pretty simple:

This one just didn’t work out for us. We want NutraBolt / Cellucor to make an energy drink, not a pre workout. There’s too much beta alanine, and we think this is aiming small in the general market.

Introducing C4 on the Go Ultimate

Last week, we had the honor of having lunch with Cellucor in downtown Austin, and they gave us a sneak peak at the first version of the C4 on the Go Ultimate cans!

Before we get into the labels, check out our initial tasting of the Arctic Snow Cone and Tropical Blast flavors – both of which are carbonated:

The C4 On the Go Ultimate Ingredients

Note that these three labels are not 100% completed (they may be making some slight changes to color and texture and such), but the ingredients should be set:

Cellucor C4 Ultimate on the Go Ingredients

This is the same as the plastic bottled (“still” / non-carbonated) drink!

  • 6g Citrulline Malate
  • 3.2g CarnoSyn Beta-Alanine
  • 1.5g BetaPower Betaine Anhydrous
  • 1g Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate
  • 1g Taurine
  • 708mg C4 Ultimate Energy & Focus Proprietary Blend

    • N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine
    • Caffeine (300mg)
    • Zembrin (Sceletium Tortuosum)
    • Rauwolfia vomitoria root extract (ie Alpha Yohimbine)
    • Huperzine A (from Toothed clubmoss)

No artificial colors in the Arctic Snow Cone flavor!

Of the Arctic Snow Cone and Tropical Blast flavors, the Arctic Snow Cone has no artificial colors! However, at first taste, tropical blast still won the prize.

Given this label, there’s no doubt this is a pre workout supplement in a can. We’re confident that Cellucor will sell a lot, as they believe that a ton of people are still training with regular energy drinks. But what about when we’re not training but looking for a serious jolt? Will Cellucor cover that use case anytime soon?

Stay tuned, they just might…
