M5 Reloaded Announced by Cellucor – M5 Extreme Upgraded!

Cellucor has just announced the upcoming release M5 Reloaded, which will be an upgrade to their M5 Extreme pre workout supplement.

M5 Extreme gave you “customizeable workouts” in that the stimulants came in a different section than the pump ingredients (they called these the IGNITE and BUILD sections).

M5 Reloaded: Minus the Stims, Plus the Carbs

The big news on M5 Reloaded is that it will be entirely stimulant-free. No more Ignite.

Instead, what they’re doing is adding a carbohydrate blend that consists of “cyclic dextrins” (see research study) and an herbal “glucose transporter” (often known as a glucose disposal agent / insulin mimicker).

Meanwhile, the build section sounds like it will be upgraded as well, but similar, with Creatine Nitrate, Creatine Magnapower®, and betaine (trimethylglycine). All great muscle- and strength-builders: Creatine Nitrate is fantastic as it gives you nitric oxide pumps and the cellular energy of creatine all in one. Betaine is killer for boosting endurance as well.

Market Gap EXPOSED

First off, let me say that I love stim-free pump products – this is why I rated HEMAVOL so high on my Top 10 Pre Workout Supplements list. But Cellucor is exposing a market gap here – there’s really no quality carb-based stim-free pump supplements from any major company!

And why not? The carbs, properly used, can help give better pumps and nutrient delivery, and just because someone doesn’t want stims doesn’t mean they don’t want some complex carbs or even sugar, for that matter. Why should they have to go buy a bag of dextrose to accomplish this?

So kudos to Cellucor for seeing that one.

Customization of Carbs?!

My hope is that the “customization” business will still be alive with M5 Reloaded – but the carbs will be separate from the BUILD section. I think that’d be a great idea.

As you might know from reading the Top 10 pre workout list linked above, I’m not a huge fan of too many of these carbs when dieting down. Maybe I want less than 10 carbs pre workout, but need 2 scoops of something because my high stim tolerance. That knocks out several carb-based products, Assault and NO-Xplode (Note: A new NO-Xplode version is now out!) included.

So if Cellucor allows for “custom carbing”, then I’m 100% on board.

Flavor Upgrades and My Experience with M5 Extreme

Sounds like they’ll also be upgrading their flavors. When I used M5, I absolutely loved the BUILD ingredient profile, and it looks like much of that is going to remain the same. However, the cherry limeade taste I had was a bit “off”, and not up to par with everything else Cellucor’s done as of late (COR Whey is fantastic – review coming soon – and everyone knows C4 is phenomenal).

For my personal use, I went through the pumps faster than the stims, since I was using Cellucor’s Super HD Fat Burner at times, and also had a few nighttime workouts in there. That doesn’t mean I wasted the stimulants… I made little custom energy drinks with them.

But at the end of the day, I’m not butt-hurt that M5 is losing the stims. Go grab a Super HD, OxyELITE Pro, or ErgoShred if you need stims.

When is the M5 Reloaded Release Date?

Not sure, but see the link below and we’ll have the prices up as soon as any store gets it! Their first press release is here.
