MassMax XT Ingredients

Increased muscle mass and improved protein synthesis are only a few of the benefits you’ll experience with MassMax XT. The collection of compounds included here will also enhance endurance, strength and, most important of all, body composition.

  • Rhaponticum Carthamoides (350mg)

    Performax MassMax XT Ingredients

MassMax XT includes everything needed to make getting big that much easier.

Rhaponticum Carthamoides is a plant rich in a number of ecdysteroids (“insect” steroids). Performax has standardized it particular extract for several of these “insect ‘roids”, but two in particular jump out: ecdysterone and 20-hydroxyecdysone.

Ecdysterone has been documented positively affect anabolism with without increasing androgens, like testosterone. In fact, ecdysterone has been shown to increase muscle mass by up to 7% while simultaneously decreasing fat mass by 10%![1] Isolated studies using 20-hydroxyecdysone have noted increased muscle cell diameter and muscle size.[2]

While these compounds have been shown to be quite effective on their own, whole plant extracts of Rhaponticum actual perform significantly better in clinical trials.[3] Studies using whole plant Rhaponticum Carthamoides have exhibited marked improvements in muscle mass [1], fat mass [1], and work capacity.[4]

  • (-)Epicatechin 95% (250mg)

Epicatechin is a highly beneficial flavonoid found predominantly in dark chocolate, and this is a spectacular dose of it!

We’ve gone into great detail about epicatechin previously in our mega-post titled, Epicatechin – The Dark Force Behind Dark Chocolate. So, head over there in you want the full story, but just to highlight some of the numerous benefits of this potent flavonoid:

    • Greater muscle growth and strength[5,6]
    • Improved glucose tolerance[7]
    • Better endurance[8]
    • Decreased fatigue[8]
    • Increased nitric oxide production[9]
  • Methyl Palmitate (125mg) & Methyl Oleate (125mg)

    Performax MassMax XT Banner

Here are just a few benefits of MassMax XT.

We’ve grouped these two ingredients together for a very specific purpose. Methyl Palmitate and Methyl Oleate are two fatty acid esters naturally found in honeybee drone milk. These compounds have demonstrated powerful anabolic and androgenic effects.

In fact, a recent 2014 study showed that after 10 days of supplementing with drone milk, subjects has significantly increased testosterone levels and muscle mass.[10]

Researchers surmised that the two fatty acid esters were the active components of the honeybee milk, since the tests using only methyl palmitate promoted an anabolic effect, but not the androgenic effect. It was necessary for both fatty acid esters to be present in order to see both androgenic and anabolic effects. Due to this, Performax has wisely included both fatty acid esters in MassMax XT.

  • Atractylodes Lancea Rhizome (500mg)

Atractylodes Lancea Rhizome is an ancient herbal Chinese remedy used to treat a number of conditions including nausea, low appetite, and GI distress. Modern research into this age-old medicine documents improvements in gastric emptying and intestinal motility[11] via increased ghrelin secretion.[12].

    Performax HyperMax XT

Looking to turbocharge your workout? Give their top rated pre workout HyperMax XT a a try next time you hit the gym.

Ghrelin is well-known as the “hunger hormone” due its ability to regulate hunger levels in the body. As you’re quite aware, if you really want to add mass, you’re going to need to eat, even when you’re not hungry – and possibly even in the night.

Additionally, ghrelin increases anabolic hormones, namely growth hormone.[13] Therefore, Atractylodes Lancea Rhizome offers two benefits: increased appetite and enhanced growth hormone stimulation — both crucial pieces of the “GET HUUUUUGE” puzzle!

  • AbsorboMax Complex (250mg)

Performax Labs has included a trifecta of ingredients to boost the bioavailability and absorption of the natural muscle-building compounds contained in MassMax XT. Included is EGCG, Sodium Caproate, and the frequently used black pepper extract. All three have been well documented to enhance absorption of compounds, such as epicatechin, in various research trials.[14,15,16]

The Performax Labs Difference

There are three major points where MassMax XT differentiates itself from other similar natty muscle-builders on the market:

  • Using Rhaponticum Carthamoides over other sources of ecdysteroids

    Performax Sarah Allen

Don’t settle for average. Always perform to your MAX with Performax!

Typically, most companies try to include an inferior source of ecdysteroids, such as suma root. However, Rhaponticum Carthamoides has been shown to be the premier choice that consistenly yields better results.

  • Including whole plant extract of Rhaponticum Carthamoides

We touched on this up top, but MassMax XT includes the whole plant extract of Rhaponticum Carthamoides. This means that in addition to getting a plethora of ecdysteroids, you get a full spectrum of other beneficial compounds like Polypodyne B (another ecdysteroid), nitrogen-bearing alkaloids, larger triterpenes, etc.

Although 20-hydroxyecdysone is the most potent of the ecdysteroids (and the most well studied), the research is clear — using whole plant extracts outperforms single ingredient extracts.[3]

  • HPLC Tested

Most ecdysterone extracts included in supplements are tested via ultraviolet (UV) testing, which yields somewhat unreliable results. Case in point, a Rhaponticum Carthamoides extract could test at 95% 20-hydroxyecdysone, yet only contain around 20% or so of the ingredient.

HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) is a superior testing method that ensures what’s tested is actually what’s in the product, i.e. no huge differences like you would see with UV testing.

    Performax Labs Stack

Add MassMax XT to this stack (see also PowerMax XT!) and you’ll have everything you need to get huge in and out of the gym!

MassMax XT uses a 20-hydroxyecdysone HPLC extract as this is the most active ecdysterone, but, they’ve also allowed for plenty of other “room” in the standardization to include the other beneficial compounds contained in Rhaponticum Carthamoides.

MassMax XT Dosage

Take 2 capsules twice daily, i.e. 2 with breakfast and 2 with dinner.

MassMax XT includes a bevy of assorted natural compounds to boost protein synthesis, strength, endurance, and above all muscle mass. If you’re looking for something new, here’s yet another great option to compare to some of the other newer competition, and it looks like there’s some credence to it.

We may need to run this one and see if a few of these new ingredients affect our free and total testosterone levels, since they’re very new and we enjoy the bloodwork.

Performax Labs has taken care of the science, now you have to do the work in the gym and in the kitchen if you truly want to get BIG!
