NutraBio Muscle Matrix Gets the Superb Strawberry Pastry Flavor!

NutraBio Muscle Matrix Strawberry Pastry

NutraBio Muscle Matrix is now in the fantastic Strawberry Pastry flavor system!

When on the topic of fully-disclosed protein blends, one of the first products to come to mind is NutraBio Muscle Matrix, which sports a simple yet very underrated blend of ~55% whey protein isolate and 45% micellar casein protein.

This protein powder provides an extraordinary amino acid profile, is low on lactose (thanks to the whey isolate), yet also has a great thickness to it thanks to the slower-digesting casein! NutraBio’s well-known for their proteins — namely 100% Whey Protein Isolate and Classic Whey — but Muscle Matrix deserves more love!

Well good news: Muscle Matrix is getting a bit more of that love it deserves, with a fabulous new flavor system we’ve already tested out in another product, and it passes with flying colors!

About the Strawberry Pastry flavor

That’s right — this is no regular strawberry flavor. It’s strawberry pastry and that’s not just lip-service. We’ve had this flavor system in the new Strawberry Pastry Extreme Mass weight gainer, and there’s way more to this one. After drinking it, you get a “buttery crust” flavor, a smooth texture, and even dash of graham cracker crust zing on the back end. It’s nearly addictive!

The only problem with that Extreme Mass product is that it contains a ton of carbohydrates, as it’s a mass gainer… and that’s where Muscle Matrix is here to save the day:

The Muscle Matrix Strawberry Pastry Ingredients and Nutrition

If you wanted to try that flavor system but were afraid of the 99 carbs(!) in four scoops of that Extreme Mass, don’t worry — Muscle Matrix is here with just 2g carbs for your 25g protein:

  • Calories: 110
  • Protein: 25g
  • Carbohydrates: 2g
    • Sugar: <1g
  • Fat: 0.5g

The protein comes from a very unique blend of whey protein isolate and micellar casein, which provides a “best of both worlds” for those chasing both low-lactose, but mixed digestion speeds. The thinner whey protein hits fast, but the slower micellar casein mixes nice and thick. This provides a nice amino acid spike and a prolonged amino acid drip, making for a versatile protein supplement to take anytime, anywhere.

Third-party lab tested and free of any wasteful filler or other scammy nonsense

NutraBio Muscle Matrix Strawberry Pastry

As confident in this flavor system as we are? Then get the big boy tub!

And of course, because it’s from NutraBio, it’s fully disclosed, third-party lab tested and free of fillers, excipients, artificial colors, amino acid spiking, or any other such nonsense.

Fully-disclosed protein

That “full disclosure” statement isn’t just for the protein blend, either. While we love knowing that it takes 13.35g micellar casein to yield 10.81g complete protein, we also love seeing that there’s 800mg natural flavoring inside.

Given that it’s strawberry based, you gotta have some red color too, and the natural way to do that is with 120mg beet root extract, which we could argue adds just a tiny bit of bonus benefits in its own way.

Non-Proprietary Blend?! Haven’t I heard of this before??

This, of course, sounds familiar, because it’s the protein blend that stirred up the “Jim Stoppani Scandal“, a tragic story where credit just couldn’t be given to a true open formula supplement, prompting the epic response from NutraBio CEO Mark Glazier, explaining how protein labels really work:

Back to our Strawberry Pastry business, the flavor review is set up above, but you can also watch Mike’s previous flavor review of Extreme Mass below. Just note that there are a lot of carbs there, so this one may taste different – but that buttery crust flavor is definitely not from the carbs, so we’re super excited to have this launched in the lower-calorie Muscle Matrix!
