HydroMaxⓇ Strikes Back: An Ultra-Stable, Glycerol-Powered Pump Catalyst!

Glanbia Nutritionals

Many are familiar with Glanbia, but it’s time to meet Glanbia Nutritionals, who have a renewed push with HydroMaxⓇ

Regardless of the type of exercise you partake in – whether you’re into bodybuilding, powerlifting, CrossFit, athletic performance, or just want to get healthier – you’re likely continuously searching for ways to enhance your workouts. Specifically, most look at pre-workout supplements, which are methodically designed to help get you motivated for an upcoming training session. The more engaged you are, the better you’ll perform, and assuming your recovery is on point, the better your gains!

While the industry has various options when it comes to pre-workout supplements, most tend to rely on stimulants such as caffeine and its related cousins. While there’s nothing wrong with this (they’re amongst the best performance-enhancing ingredients out there), sometimes they aren’t enough for performance or we need more stimulant-free support.

Because of this, non-stimulant pre-workouts are growing increasingly popular, and for good reason – their overall quality has skyrocketed in recent years. With new, powerful ingredients, these products can still provide the pre-workout punch you need to get the most out of your training. HydroMaxⓇ is one of these highly popular compounds, and it may be one of the best novel ingredients we have today!

HydroMaxⓇ – what exactly is glycerol?

Glycerol is a naturally-occuring sugar alcohol, structured similarly to the sugar alcohols that have found their way into various foods these days. However, this sugar alcohol is quite different. It’s a member of the trihydroxy group, meaning that it has three oxygen-hydrogen bonds within its structure.[1] Sometimes referred to as 1,2,3-Propanetriol or glycerine, glycerol functions rather uniquely once ingested.

How glycerol works

Glycerol 3D Structure

Just as humans rely on water to function properly, so too does glycerol. It accumulates when exposed to liquids like water, increasing the osmotic pressure and volume of water content within the body. This effect is somewhat unnoticeable, that is, unless you take efficacious amounts of it! When there’s enough glycerol within the system, things start to get very interesting.

Once ingested, the digestive system sends glycerol throughout the body before it’s broken down and excreted by the liver and kidneys.[1] Consuming glycerol with large amounts of liquid increases the pressure and volume in different areas within the body, effectively increasing the amount of water these areas can hold. This leads to a state of “hyperhydration“, which can be extremely beneficial in the world of exercise.[2] Enhanced water retention isn’t just great for muscular endurance, but it also increases what we call cell-volumizing “water-based pumps” to those muscles as well!

The research – the potential benefits HydroMaxⓇ can deliver!

So how can HydroMaxⓇ take your workouts to the next level when taken pre workout?

Helps you stay hydrated

Because glycerol puts you in a state of “hyperhydration”, staying hydrated during training is made exponentially easier.[3,4]. Staying hydrated is key to maintaining optimal endurance levels, which keeps you training at your best!.

Increased endurance and aerobic power!

Glycerol Benefits

Studies show that high dosed glycerol can improve aerobic and anaerobic power – even in non-exercised subjects![3]

Glycerol doesn’t just waste those effects, however – it puts them to use! Research from 2012 administered glycerol to a sedentary group and an active (“exercising”) group, both of which were compared to placebo. After 20 days, both groups that received glycerol displayed significantly higher anaerobic power than their respective placebo groups, with the exercised group proving most powerful![3] The same effects were shown in tests comparing aerobic capacity, as well, showing just how impactul glycerol can be in terms of performance!

Due to its powerful effects, glycerol can be useful for a wide range of individuals – whether you’re looking to lift more, sprint faster, or training for an endurance event,[4] glycerol can lend a helping hand!

Fight off heat exhaustion

Being super-hydrated still carries other benefits, with this one being particularly important! With more water in the body, you should be less likely to get overheated. Sure enough, research has shown that glycerol can reduce the thermal burden of exercise in hot climates.[5] If you’re someone who likes to get some serious sweat going when training, or just live in a hot part of the country (such as Houston, where PricePlow HQ is located!), this simply cannot be overlooked!

And finally…say hello to cell-volumizing “water-based pumps”!

HydroMax Pumps

Get ready for “cell volumizing” pumps like no other!

That’s not all, however, as there is one more significant benefit glycerol has to offer, and this one may ultimately be the one that has you coming back for more of the water-absorbing sugar alcohol!

Glycerol helps load water into your muscles, which can obviously slightly inflate them with excess liquid. That, in turn, can anecdotally help you look and feel a bit more “swole” when training!

In order to get that water there, it must travel through your body first, though. This induces some unique “water-based pumps,” similar but mechanistically different than some common nitric oxide-producing ingredients like citrulline or nitrate. This water-based pump is perfect for those pump-chasers out there, and just as is the case with NO pump ingredients, it’s not just for show – it carries benefits over to your training, as well!

HydroMAXⓇ may be superior to other glycerol products

When glycerol first came to market, despite its obvious benefits, it actually wasn’t all that popular. Pure glycerol, or glycerol monostearate (GMS) which was what formulators were using at the time, clumped up inside powders, delivering an undesirably gritty texture. It was a relatively unstable form of the ingredient, leaving more to be desired. In addition, higher doses legally forced formulators to declare the stearic acid component of GMS as fat, since it’s a saturated fat.

Glanbia HydroMax

Trusted. Stable. Accurate. HydroMax is the verified form of glycerol on the market.

Glanbia Nutritionals couldn’t stand for that lack of quality, and set out to fix it. Using a proprietary process, they created HydroMaxⓇ,[6] the pioneering high-yield, stable glycerol powder on the market. HydroMaxⓇ is 65% glycerol. It’s incredibly optimized, delivering an ultra-effective dose while occupying minimal space on a label – with no added fats! That allows companies to save room in that scoop for other ingredients in their formulas, which thus becomes a more nutritionally “dense” formula.

HydroMaxⓇ was also used to originally establish the standard that other glycerol powders are held to during testing. Therefore, its Prop 65 compliant, and every ounce of this powder is certified 65% glycerol!

When it comes to looking for the top glycerol powder out there, perhaps that search should begin and end with HydroMaxⓇ, the first high-quality glycerol powder we’ve seen!

Helping formulators and brands solve the hydroscopic issue

HydroMax

Pump Up Your Workout using the “Water Way”… HydroMax is an incredible addition to any Nitric Oxide Booster!

As discussed above, one of the benefits of glycerol is that it’s hydroscopic – it loves to absorb water! But at the same time, in a supplement tub that’s shipped around humid areas of the world, that can also become a drawback — if not blended and formulated properly!

Glanbia Nutritionals has seen the feedback and has taken it upon themselves to educate formulators and contract manufacturers on making long-term shelf-stable supplements. The team is committed to ensuring that HydroMaxⓇ adds all of the benefits and keeps supplements free of these water-loving drawbacks.

Conclusion – Pump up with HydroMAXⓇ

Pump products have become increasingly popular in recent years, growing over 50% between 2015 and 2017, according to Glanbia Nutritionals’ market research. Based on what we’ve seen in the industry, those numbers don’t seem outrageous – more users want stackable, non-stim pre-workouts, and they want effective versions of them!

HydroMax

Trusted. Stable. Accurate. HydroMax is the glycerol customers and brands can count on.

It’s no surprise that the inclusion of HydroMaxⓇ and powerful stim-free formulas have become synonymous. Any great pump product, such as MFIT’s Hazard, needs at least one efficient cell volumizing pump-inducer! The water-based pumps provided by HydroMaxⓇ not only gets water coursing through your muscles, but it can provide some serious benefits when it comes to training performance as well! HydroMaxⓇ not only helps you look better due to the pumps, but it’ll help you look and feel better due to better workouts, too!

If you’re a consumer, check out Hazard and the many other supplements formulated with HydroMax!
