PEScience Shares Protein Lab Test Data: Introducing MySelect

PEScience MySelect

Did you know that you can see lab test data on PEScience’s proteins?!

Product purity has been a point of contention ever since the supplement industry formed. In recent years, companies have put their money where their mouth is via third-party batch testing to prove that their products are what they say they are.

One company that’s been putting out these lab tests was right here under our noses — PEScience — and we didn’t even know about it! In case you weren’t aware either, learn how the brand behind Select Protein stepped up their protein game with their MySelect initiative.

MySelect…? MyWhat? Where did this come from?

As a company, PEScience has always stuck to their mission of developing high-quality products that can benefit their customers. One only needs to look at one of our previous PEScience reviews (even our way old original Select Protein Review) to see our love for their proteins. And with this newfound knowledge… our respect grew even more! MySelect is an attempt by the company to illustrate the level of quality control they put into every product by showing customers what you’re really putting in your body when you take

They aren’t even hiding it! It’s on the same page that you order from!

Select Protein.

It’s not just about amino acid spiking

This is a response to many scandals over the past few years that involved products not meeting label claims. Perhaps the most pertinent of these scandals is the amino acid spiking issue that is still happening on occasion in 2018. While amino acid spiking is now perhaps the most well-known protein scam, there are other serious things to consider. While getting your promised protein substituted for cheap filler aminos like glycine or glutamine really sucks (this is what happens with amino acid spiking), it’s still not as bad for your health as your favorite powder being loaded to the gills with heavy metals like lead or arsenic.

The PEScience Difference

PEScience took these scandals and health concerns very seriously. As a company that prides itself on quality, open labels, and honesty, they published the PEScience Difference page to combat the nonsense going on throughout the industry. The biggest part of that? The PEScience MySelect program.

Look up your protein’s lot number and see the tests!

Pescience Protein Lab Tests

The brand goes into nearly every detail that you could think of!

MySelect allows customers to look up any tub of protein by its batch number for heavy metal and microbial testing. Not only will it show you if your batch is healthy, it will even tell you the total protein content.

Since this is already legally required for companies to do (if they’re as “cGMP compliant” as they claim to be), why not share it?! Clearly the makers of Select Protein thought the same thing.

As our long-term followers know, PricePlow has been combatting protein scandals since our inception. To see one of our favorite companies stepping up and providing more data is inspiring. Note that while it’s legally required for them to test, it’s not required for them to share – but they’re doing it anyway.

Questions most will have

However, in classic PricePlow fashion, we have a few questions about this process. Is this batch testing only available for protein powders? Can we get it done for Alphamine or those delicious Select Protein Bars or any other products? Is the test by a third-party lab or in-house? Can we see the raw PDF that’s been signed?

PEScience

Will PEScience put this data out for other products too?!

Either way, this is an incredible first step and we want it to be used to push the boundaries. Companies steal from PEScience often, so this could be the origin of a paradigm shift regarding product purity.

Our biggest question is why nobody ever said anything about this, and why PES isn’t promoting this more? One thing’s for certain… this clearly isn’t a marketing/publicity stunt because those MySelect tests seem to have been there for a while, and nobody made a fuss. Well, we are, because we care about quality and are happy there’s one more company (out of the thousands) actually showing it.
