With the EuphoriQ pre-workout supplement, MuscleTech changed the game. By being one of the first to use paraxanthine as a smoother alternative to caffeine, the brand made a massive splash on the sports nutrition stage that everybody’s just now copying..
The pre-workout has been immensely popular, and consumers have enjoyed the sweet flavor releases – Icy Snow Cone, Watermelon Candy, Yuzu Lemonade, and – of course – Boogieman Punch. But the Boogieman is about to get a bit of a revision, but only for certain stores:
Boogieman Punch FDM Version Now at Walmart!
The Boogieman Punch flavor of EuphoriQ originally released in the summer of 2023. It was dropped in celebration and honor of MuscleTech’s partnership with bodybuilder Blessing Awodibu – The Boogieman himself, who joined us for Episode #076 of The PricePlow Podcast.
Now, the flavor is hitting Walmart shelves in September, alongside a couple formula tweaks for EuphoriQ (in a very slightly paired-down manner, just like the recent Nitro-Tech 1.5lb release at Walmart). We’re calling this the “FDM Version” since it’s a formula specifically made for “Food, Drug, Mass” retailers like Walmart.
It comes in a 16 gram scoop, nearly as big as the original EuphoriQ’s 17g scoop, but with a few twists, including a small dose of yohimbe!
Interestingly, it will also mark the first time — outside of the legendary Mike O’Hearn — that a bodybuilder has his likeness featured on a supplement at the big box retailer.
We’re going to dive into a little summary on this version of EuphoriQ, but first, let’s check PricePlow for good MuscleTech deals, and check out our video recap of the FDM-exclusive flavor:

MuscleTech EuphoriQ – How It Works
Most of the Boogieman Punch EuphoriQ formula is the same, but there are a couple of changes. This version removes nooLVL and adds in some yohimbe, which is an excellent stim addition to the formula. Here is the full list of ingredients:
- L-Citrulline (4g) is a conditionally essential amino acid that boosts nitric oxide (NO) production by converting into arginine, improving blood flow, athletic performance, endurance, and waste removal, with optimal supplementation around 3 to 10 grams per day for dose-dependent benefits.
This is the same dose as in the original EuphoriQ.
- Beta-Alanine (3.2g) is an ergogenic aid that boosts athletic endurance by increasing carnosine levels, which buffers lactic acid buildup in muscles, with an optimal dose of 3,200 mg being widely validated for improving performance in activities lasting 30 seconds to 10 minutes.
This is the same dose as in the original EuphoriQ.
- Betaine Anhydrous (2.5g) enhances athletic performance by boosting ATP production and supporting cellular hydration, with studies showing that daily supplementation of 2.5 grams can significantly improve muscle mass, strength, and body composition.
This is the same dose as in the original EuphoriQ.
- Taurine (1g) is a conditionally essential amino acid that supports metabolic function, enhances cognitive performance, reduces anxiety, and improves athletic endurance by boosting cellular energy production, with effective doses ranging from 1 to 6 grams.
This is the same dose as in the original EuphoriQ.
- L-Tyrosine (500mg) is a non-essential amino acid that enhances focus and mental alertness by supporting the production of catecholamines like adrenaline and dopamine, making it particularly beneficial for those experiencing sleep deprivation or seeking improved cognitive performance during workouts.
This is the same dose as in the original EuphoriQ.
- Enfinity (300mg) paraxanthine, the primary metabolite of caffeine, offers similar performance-enhancing benefits, including increased focus, fat burning, and wakefulness, but with fewer negative effects and a shorter half-life, making it a smoother alternative to caffeine.
This is the same dose as in the original EuphoriQ.
- Alpha-GPC (150mg) is a highly bioavailable form of choline that supports cellular health, boosts acetylcholine production for enhanced cognitive and motor skills, and acts as a growth hormone secretagogue, aiding in muscle gains and overall athletic performance.
This is a paired-down dose, half of what was in the original EuphoriQ.
- NeuroFactor (100mg) coffee fruit extract boosts cognitive health by increasing brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels, promoting neuron growth and protection, and works synergistically with exercise and caffeine to enhance focus and cognitive performance.
This is the same dose as in the original EuphoriQ.
- Yohimbe extract (10mg) is known for its stimulating effects by antagonizing alpha-2 adrenergic receptors, boosts energy, suppresses appetite, and accelerates fat burning, but can cause anxiety and jitteriness in some, especially when combined with high doses of caffeine.
Here, we’re standardized for 6% yohimbine, so you’ll get a nice 0.6mg dose of yohimbine – not too much, but enough to add some zip to the formula!
This is a new addition that was not in the original EuphoriQ.
- Huperzine A (10mcg) synergizes with Alpha-GPC by inhibiting the breakdown of acetylcholine, thereby enhancing its effects, while also improving cognition and protecting neuronal mitochondria from oxidative stress.
This is the same dose as in the original EuphoriQ.

The Key Differences
There are three major differences between the original EuphoriQ and the new Boogieman Punch FDM version:
- The addition of a small hit of yohimbe We’re expecting this to add some ‘pop’ to the formula, certainly on-brand for a supplement with Blessing’s likeness on it!
- Removal of nooLVL The removal of the nootropic blood flow ingredient is likely to save cost for Walmart shoppers.
- Removal of Vitamins B6 and B12 Given how much of these two ingredients are in so many energy drinks, multivitamins, sports drinks, etc, we’re perfectly fine not seeing these in the Boogieman Punch FDM version.
Overall, a fair trade-off – a better price point for Walmart, but a more aggressive hit of energy, perfect for the Blessing name.
Paraxanthine at Big Box Stores Thanks to MuscleTech
Walmart is always an interesting distribution venture for brands. Historically, their demographic had little overlap with the fitness enthusiast demographic. Times have changed, though, and the supplement industry is breaking further into the mainstream than ever before. Walmart has become a destination for so many other products, it only makes sense that supplement shoppers will end up there anyway, and would love a hot deal while they’re at it.
A specialized version of EuphoriQ landing at Walmart is a big deal – this may be the first time that paraxanthine will be at a big box retailer in store, and we’re curious to see how the masses respond. It doesn’t hurt that the formula comes in a sweet refreshing package thanks to the Boogieman himself..
