Rich Gaspari Returns to the Arnold Classic 2026, The Gaspari Nutrition Comeback Continues

Rich Gaspari returned to the Arnold Classic 2026 floor with Gaspari Nutrition's newest launch, Proven NMN/TMG, and shared his take on bodybuilding and business.

In 1989, Rich Gaspari won the very first Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio. Nearly four decades later, he was back. Not on the stage, but on the expo floor, showing a packed crowd what Gaspari Nutrition has been building.

The Arnold Sports Festival 2026 gave Rich a fitting backdrop to do two things at once: remind the industry where he came from, and show where the brand is headed. By Day 2, he was calling it one of the biggest Arnold crowds he'd seen since before 2020, and Gaspari's booth was in the middle of it.

We caught up with Rich for a quick interview on the floor, shown below. And if you haven't already listened to the full sit-down we did with him in Episode #202 of the PricePlow Podcast, that's the place to start for the full origin story. This one was quick-hit and candid, and Rich delivered:

Five Questions With Rich Gaspari at Arnold Classic 2026

  • Golden Age or Modern Bodybuilding?

Rich Gaspari discusses building Gaspari Nutrition, surviving amino spiking scandal bankruptcy, and rebuilding with Proven Egg protein on PricePlow Podcast Episode 202

Rich Gaspari shares his journey from Mr. Olympia competitor to building Gaspari Nutrition through three decades of triumph, bankruptcy, and rebuilding with Proven Egg on Episode #202 of the PricePlow Podcast.

Rich has clearly thought about this one. He doesn't take the bait to trash modern competitors, but he doesn't sugarcoat it either.

"I hate to be one of those old guys that disrespects today's bodybuilding," he said. "I think we trained harder than they do today -- I train with some pros and they have this new way of training where they don't push as hard. But I think some of us overtrained back in the day too."

His take: the Classic Physique category solves the problem. Those guys look like what Open competitors looked like in Rich's era. He genuinely respects the sport's evolution, which is probably the right answer from someone who set the conditioning standard for his generation and still looks the part.

  • Whey Protein or Egg Protein?

Not exactly a neutral question for a guy who sells the world's leading egg white protein, but Rich kept it honest.

"They're both great sources," he said. "But protein efficiency ratio is better in egg. And if you're lactose intolerant, you don't have a problem." Then came the angle we've discussed behind-the-scenes a lot lately before: cost. "Whey protein isolate -- which has lower lactose but still has it -- is super expensive right now. If you have a lactose intolerance problem, egg is your answer."

Proven Egg: Gaspari Nutrition's Flagship Egg White Protein Powder

Gaspari Nutrition Proven Egg dominates Amazon's egg protein category for good reason. 25g pure egg white protein from cage-free chickens, zero dairy, zero bloat. For the 66% dealing with lactose issues, this delivers complete amino acids without compromise.

That's a sharper economic argument than he was making a year ago. Whey isolate prices have climbed, and Proven Egg is already Amazon's top seller in the egg protein category. When the price gap widens, that positioning only gets stronger.

  • Favorite Body Part to Train?

    Legs, without hesitation.

"It's half your body, and a lot of people hate legs -- that's one of the reasons why I love it. You've got to put everything into it."

Nothing groundbreaking, but the fact that he still trains them this hard says something. Rich was at Pros Gym in Columbus hitting shoulders and biceps the morning before the expo opened. The man doesn't coast -- he even told Mike towards the end of the podcast that he recently had a workout so hard he vomited... something we really only expect out of the younger guys. Rich is still at it though.

  • Advice for Aspiring Bodybuilders Who Are Also Entrepreneurs?

This is where Rich is always worth listening to, because he's lived the hard version of the answer. Our full podcast episode covers his journey in depth: the garage startup, the golden era, the amino spiking fallout, bankruptcy, and rebuilding from scratch with Proven Egg. On the Arnold floor, he distilled it down:

"I call it the school of hard knocks. I've been through everything -- sourcing, forecasting, all the way to bankruptcy. Try to learn as much as you can while you're building, but you have to feed your business first. Money that you're making from that company needs to stay in the company. It's like a tree: you cultivate it and get it to grow fruit. The only way to do that is to feed it."

    Gaspari Nutrition Proven NMN/TMG Benefits

Three years without a salary when he first launched Gaspari. That's the detail that sticks. Anyone asking for shortcuts won't find them in his answer.

  • What's Coming From Gaspari Next?

Rich didn't reveal specifics in the interview -- just enough to signal that he's still in full product development mode.

"Everyone has the same thing in a bottle. But when you come up with something different, that really excites me."

He mentioned on the expo floor that Gaspari was debuting new products at their booth, including Creatine HMB and the just-launched Proven NMN/TMG. Based on what we've seen from the latter, "different" is the right word for it.

The Arnold Booth and What Gaspari Was Showing

Rich was at Booth 1305 from March 5 through 8. He posted from the floor both days, and Day 2 had him calling it the biggest Arnold he'd seen in years - the kind of energy that's hard to fake on Instagram.

Products in the spotlight included Creatine HMB and the brand-new Proven NMN/TMG, which Rich had just officially announced the week prior. He was signing autographs and demoing product, doing what he's always done best: being the most accessible legend in the supplement industry.

Proven NMN/TMG: Rich's Newest Launch

The big product story coming out of this Arnold cycle is Proven NMN/TMG, which Rich previewed during our podcast and officially launched this month. The full ingredient deep dive is coming soon, but here's what's in the formula:

Rich Gaspari Returns to the Arnold Classic 2026, The Gaspari Nutrition Comeback Continues

  • NMN (Beta-Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) - 500mg: A precursor to NAD+, which plays a central role in cellular energy production. NAD+ levels decline naturally with age, and NMN is one of the more studied approaches to support NAD+ biosynthesis.
  • Trimethylglycine (TMG/Betaine Anhydrous) - 500mg: Included specifically to support methylation balance. Research suggests NMN supplementation may increase demand for methyl donors, and TMG helps replenish them so the NAD+ pathway works efficiently.
  • Trans-Resveratrol -- 125mg: Included for its role in supporting healthy aging pathways and antioxidant activity.
  • Active B-Vitamins: Riboflavin-5-Phosphate (5mg), Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate (5mg), L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate (400mcg), and Methylcobalamin (400mcg) in their methylated, active forms for better absorption.

The positioning is straightforward: most NMN products stop at NMN. This one adds the methylation support (TMG) and antioxidant layer (resveratrol) alongside active B vitamins. Two capsules daily, no stimulants, aimed at athletes and adults who want to support energy at the cellular level rather than through caffeine.

Rich has been using it himself for several weeks and says he notices the difference in sustained energy throughout the day. He's not the kind of guy who oversells his own products, so that's worth noting.

Still Standing, Still Building

Gaspari Nutrition Logo

The through-line from 1989 to 2026 is the same one Rich has always run on: don't get comfortable, don't cut corners, and outwork the room. He won the first Arnold Classic by showing up in better condition than anyone else expected. He's trying to do the version of that in the supplement industry... not by chasing trends, but by identifying real gaps and building products for them.

Egg protein when whey was king, and now NAD+ support built around the methylation angle everyone else skips.
