PLT Health didn't just bring ingredient literature to FNIS. They brought chews. Two joint health concepts built on Kinexa and Dynagenix, both tasting good enough that daily use doesn't feel like a chore. Someone should copy this.
PLT Health Solutions was a title sponsor of the Future Nutra Innovation Summit, and the company brought more than ingredient literature to Houston. We came home with two chewable joint-health concept samples built around Kinexa and Dynagenix.
Both pouches say "SAMPLE - NOT FOR RESALE" because they're not finished PLT retail products. Instead, they're application concepts showing brands and formulators what the ingredients can look, feel, and taste like in a finished chew.
And they certainly taste good. The tropical Dynagenix soft chew is easy to take, while the mixed berry Kinexa chew was our favorite of the two. If you're building in joint health, active aging, or sports recovery, PLT has already done a lot of the creative work here.
Both concepts were manufactured at FoodPharma Functional Food Manufacturing. We'll get into them later, because whoever made these chews deserves some credit.
This article details the ingredients and the chews, but before jumping in, it's worth signing up for our PLT Health news alerts, since there's a lot more to come:

Two Concepts, Two Different Jobs
| Concept | Daily Serving | Active | Flavor | Positioning |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kinexa Chews | 2 chews | 200mg Kinexa | Mixed Berry | Whole-joint structure, strength, and longevity |
| Dynagenix Chew | 1 soft chew | 60mg Dynagenix | Tropical | Joint comfort, mobility, and exercise recovery |
The low doses are one of the best parts of these demos. Kinexa gets its full 200mg daily serving into two chews, while Dynagenix fits 60mg into a single 5g soft chew. Neither concept needs a giant serving to get the branded ingredient in, thanks to the potent standardization of the extracts.
Kinexa Chews: 200mg in Mixed Berry
The Kinexa Joint Longevity Complex concept uses two chews per day to deliver 200mg Kinexa, the same daily dose used in PLT's six-month clinical program. Kinexa combines standardized extracts of haritaki (Terminalia chebula), turmeric (Curcuma longa), and Indian frankincense (Boswellia serrata).
We've already gone deep on the ingredient in our full Kinexa article. The short version is that PLT took an unusually structural approach to joint research. Its 180-day randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study enrolled 100 adults and used three MRI methods to assess cartilage along with ligaments, menisci, synovial tissue, and subchondral bone.
The front of this concept pouch gets right to the headline numbers: five MRI structures measured, 24% stronger knees, and a 10% increase in cartilage thickness. PLT's reported data also include improvements in mobility and subjective joint scores over the six-month period. You simply don't see this level of data in joint supplements -- even ones that have been out for decades!
The peer-reviewed Kinexa paper is still working through publication, so our Kinexa deep dive remains the best place to see the study design, imaging methods, and full set of disclosed results in context.
For a concept chew, the important part is that it's a clinical dose. Two mixed berry chews deliver the complete 200mg daily amount, and the format tastes good enough that taking it every day doesn't feel like work. Could you have stuffed all 200mg into one chew? Maybe... but that wouldn't be as delicious anyway.
Dynagenix Chew: 60mg for Muscle + Joint Support
We also have a separate Dynagenix deep dive, and this concept gives that ingredient a fun delivery format.
The Dynagenix Muscle+Joint Formula sample provides 60mg Dynagenix in one tropical-flavored soft chew. Dynagenix is PLT's water-soluble Boswellia serrata extract, developed around boswellic-acid chemistry for low-dose joint and recovery applications.
The 60mg dose also matches the daily dose used in Dynagenix's published sports-recovery study. Fifty recreationally active men took 60mg per day or placebo for 10 days. On day 7, researchers used repeated downhill running to create a controlled bout of muscle and joint stress. Compared with placebo, the Dynagenix group reported less muscle soreness during recovery, less knee-joint soreness, lower perceived exertion, and better recovery of leg-extension strength. By day 10, strength in the Dynagenix group had returned to baseline, while the placebo group remained below baseline.[1]
The front panel also calls out "5-day joint comfort", along with 47% improvement in joint comfort and 46% improvement in overall joint health. Those numbers come from PLT's separate joint-health research program, which used 40mg per day in a 30-day study.
That paper is still pending publication, so we keep the two datasets separate in our Dynagenix article.
The More Interesting Idea: Kinexa + Dynagenix Stacked Together
At first glance, stacking two products that both contain Boswellia serrata can sound redundant. The chemistry makes the idea more interesting.
Kinexa's Boswellia component is standardized around amyrins, while Dynagenix is built around a different boswellic-acid / AKBA profile. PLT's AprèsFlex ingredient also works on the AKBA side of the Boswellia family. In other words, "Boswellia" on two ingredient lines doesn't necessarily mean you're duplicating the same constituent profile.
PLT told us at FNIS that this creates a useful stacking opportunity for formulators. A brand can pair Kinexa + Dynagenix (or use the already established Kinexa + AprèsFlex approach) to cover different Boswellia constituents and different consumer goals.
Our PLT joint health platform overview already explains the Kinexa + AprèsFlex logic: Kinexa is positioned around longer-term whole-joint structure, while AprèsFlex brings fast-onset joint comfort. Dynagenix gives formulators another angle when water solubility, lower dose, sports recovery, or a chew/beverage-friendly format matters.
Note that there's no study pairing them though, so this should be treated as formulation logic, not clinically demonstrated synergy. But it's a smart way to think about Boswellia. Standardization matters, and the plant contains more than one constituent worth targeting.
FoodPharma Deserves a Shout-Out
Both sample pouches name FoodPharma Functional Food Manufacturing as the manufacturer.
We haven't worked with FoodPharma before, but these samples got our attention. Botanical chews can go wrong quickly on texture, bitterness, aftertaste, or all three. Neither of these did. Dynagenix's tropical flavor works well, and the mixed berry Kinexa was the standout for us. The texture is soft and perfect -- much softer and juicier than a Starburst, if that comparison helps.
Great clinical data only get you so far if the finished format is unpleasant enough that consumers don't want to take it. These concepts show that both branded ingredients can move beyond capsules and ready-to-mix without turning the user experience into a compromise.
We'll be reaching out to FoodPharma to learn more about what they're doing and whether there's room for future collaboration.
Someone Should Build These
There's no need to overthink the product brief here.
Take the Kinexa concept: two good-tasting mixed berry chews delivering the full 200mg daily amount of a whole-joint ingredient with a deep six-month research program. Or take Dynagenix: one tropical soft chew delivering the same 60mg dose used in its published recovery study.
We're even thinking you could get both ingredients into a two-chew serving size. That would be the premium version, of course.
So yes, someone should copy the concept. License the branded ingredients properly, build the manufacturing relationship, put your own brand and creative around it, and go make the product. If you haven't noticed, chews are doing quite well on Amazon. Take a look at everything Force Factor has built, for instance.
Once again, these samples are concepts, not products PLT is currently selling at retail. Brands interested in getting their hands on them should contact PLT Health Solutions directly, and if you're headed to SupplySide Global later in 2026, put PLT on your meeting list and ask about the chews.
You can catch up on the broader PLT joint health platform if you're deciding which ingredient fits your next product.
