Cellucor Max Test

Cardiose® is standardized for hesperidin, a flavonoid polyphenol found in citrus fruits that has health-beneficial antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It can improve nitric oxide synthesis through multiple pathways. Cardiose has at least three clinical studies under its belt at this dosage, showing improved anaerobic performance, maximum power, and better recovery.[2-4]

Rhodiola rosea root extract (std. 3% Salidrosides) – 300mg
Rhodiola is the famous adaptogen that’s often used to reduce stress and cortisol levels, which can hamper testosterone production if they’re chronically elevated. This is a sizable dose, more than we see in testosterone supplements.

Tesnor® Cacao (Theobroma cacao) seed extract and Pomegranate (Punica granatum) fruit peel extract – 200mg
Tesnor is a blend of pomegranate peel and cocoa bean extracts that’s taking the hormone optimization world by storm. There are two studies showing that 200 and 400 milligrams of Tesnor can improve both muscle growth and free testosterone in both young and middle-aged males after 8 weeks of use.[5-7]

LJ100® Longjack (Eurycoma longifolia) root extract – 200mg
LJ100 is a longjack extract, also known as Eurycoma longifolia and tongkat ali. It was traditionally used as an aphrodisiac, but modern scientific research also shows that it’s effectively used as a testosterone booster as well.

PeptiPump Bioactive Lentil (Lens culinaris) peptides – 200mg
Introduced in the new C4 Series, PeptiPump is a peptide ingredient that functions as an ACE inhibitor, supporting increased blood flow since the Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) is a vasorestrictor. We don’t have a ton of science on it yet, but are keeping our knowledge up to date in our main PeptiPump article as it comes.

3,3′ Diindolylmethane (DIM) – 100mg
DIM is an ingredient that’s used to modulate estrogen levels. It’s a metabolite of indole-3-carbinol (I3C), and works by inhibiting aromatase, an enzyme that converts testosterone to estrogen. While we do need some estrogen, we don’t want excessive amounts, and DIM can support a better balance, potentially improving “good estrogen” (2-hydroxylated estrogens) while reducing “bad estrogen” (estradiol/E2).

Senactiv® Panax notoginseng root extract and Rosa roxburghii root extract – 50mg
Senactiv is a patented ingredient from ginseng and rose extracts that functions as a senolytic, meaning that it helps the body clear out old, dying cells to make way for fresh new cells. Due to this, it’s been shown to support VO2 max levels.

Vitamin D (as Cholecalciferol) – 62.5mcg (313% DV)

Not getting enough sunshine? Then it’s time to start! Low vitamin D levels are associated with lower testosterone levels — it’s known as a hormone regulator because it can minimize aromatase activity, keeping testosterone higher. Supplementing it has been shown to support these effects as well.

Finally, for those who want to shred down a bit, but don’t want the stimulants (or want to stack with the new C4 Series or a can of C4 Energy), we have Cellucor Super Thermo, which is of course stimulant-free.

Can these be stacked?
Even with the overlap of Chromax in all three formulas, they can be stacked, since the total amount of elemental chromium would be at 600mcg, which has clinical support (there’s even research going as high as 1000mcg for appetite suppresion). We just don’t suggest taking C4 at the same time as Super Shred, since both have stimulants.
Conclusion: Cellucor is Back
Let’s be honest — from a financial perspective, Nutrabolt simply didn’t need to do this. C4 and C4 Energy have done so well, they not only achieved investment from one of the world’s greatest-ever companies, they also propelled the company to investments into brands like Xtend and Bloom.
But Nutrabolt did it anyway, and they did it for good reason: The capsule space has been suffering with malaise, and the Cellucor name is too powerful to let ride into the sunset. This is how you approach both of those issues — with loaded formulas that work best in pill format.
