NutraBio’s flavor train rolls on and the famous Classic Whey is once again getting the spotlight! After having some fun with the limited edition release of Irish Whiskey Cream Classic Whey to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, the brand is back to business with the launch of Banana Cream Pie Classic Whey!

Although there are several banana-flavored proteins on the market, it’s a very difficult flavor to nail down. But after trying Banana Bourbon Nut 100% Whey Protein Isolate last year, we’re confident that NutraBio has what it takes to make this a reality. PricePlow got word that NutraBio was working on this flavor months ago, however they wanted to make sure it was perfect before the big launch.

They went through several samples, got outsiders’ feedback, and made adjustments where necessary. After several trials and errors, Mike Perez, NutraBio’s flavor scientist, perfected it and Banana Cream Pie Classic Whey is here for all of us to enjoy!

Can NutraBio Really Make Banana Cream Pie Come To Life?

NutraBio Muscle Matrix is now in the fantastic Strawberry Pastry flavor system!

With all of the components in banana cream pie, this must have been one of NutraBio’s most difficult flavors to get right. Banana cream pie has a rich, buttery crust, filling that’s loaded with bananas, cinnamon, pudding, and finally some fresh cream to top it all off. It’s hard enough to just make a banana cream pie, let alone bring the flavor to life in a shaker bottle.

However, with the Strawberry Pastry Muscle Matrix flavors, NutraBio proved that they have what it takes to bring a pie flavor to life in a protein powder. Somehow, they were able to deliver a fresh strawberry filling, with hints of a buttery crust aftertaste. It was by far one of the best strawberry proteins we’ve tried and is still a PricePlow favorite. So just imagine what they can do with Banana Cream Pie Classic Whey!

Why Classic Whey?

NutraBio offers several protein powders, such as Micellar Casein, Muscle Matrix, and 100% Whey Protein Isolate, but their best seller from the beginning was Classic Whey. Why?

Classic Whey comes ins wide variety of delicious flavors to suit anyone’s preferences!

Classic Whey is pure whey protein concentrate 80% (WPC-80), meaning the ingredient contains 80% protein by weight. Compared to whey protein isolate (WPI), WPC-80 contains just a touch of calories from carbs/fats since it’s less filtered, but that leaves more room for flavor and creaminess! This is one of the main reasons why NutraBio chose Classic Whey to use as a base for these incredible flavors!

Furthermore, since WPC doesn’t undergo as much processing, so it naturally contains more immunoglobulins, which help support your immune system! WPC is still very low in lactose, sugars, fats, and carbs, but high in protein and rich in both branched chain amino acids and essential amino acids.

If you can handle a bit of lactose, the benefits of a WPC-80 are well worth it! Plus, it’s typically marked at a lower price then other proteins on the market, such as WPI, meaning more bang for your buck.
