GHOST Whey x General Mills: Lucky Charms, Cocoa Puffs, and Trix Cereal Milk Hit the Lineup

YES! GHOST is expanding its General Mills collab far beyond the breakfast bowl. Fresh off launching GHOST Protein Cereal in Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor, the brand is now bringing three iconic General Mills cereals into GHOST Whey:

GHOST Whey now comes in Lucky Charms, Cocoa Puffs, and Trix Cereal Milk -- three permanent General Mills flavors built on 25g of full-disclosure protein at 130 calories.

All three are permanent additions flowing into national retail starting March 7, 2025. Two of these replace existing flavors: Lucky Charms takes the place of Marshmallow Cereal Milk, and Trix slides in for Fruity Cereal Milk.

What an accomplishment this is, given GHOST's first Whey flavor from 2016 was Cereal Milk, and now they're collaborating with the kings of cereal. If you've been a fan of either, think of these as upgraded, licensed versions with the real-deal branding behind them. Cocoa Puffs is a brand new flavor to the lineup.

This move fits squarely into GHOST's broader partnership strategy. Since the Keurig Dr Pepper acquisition, the brand has been leaning hard into major food and beverage IP, and General Mills clearly has plenty of nostalgic cereal equity to work with. These three flavors are a natural next step from the protein cereal side of that relationship.

GHOST Whey: The Formula Behind the Flavor

The formula hasn't changed. GHOST Whey uses a full-disclosure protein blend of Whey Protein Isolate (90%), Whey Protein Concentrate (80%), and Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate, delivering 25g of protein per scoop at just 130 calories. Digestive enzymes (proteases, bromelain, and lactase) are included to ease digestion, which is a welcome touch for anyone who's had trouble with whey in the past.

The Three Flavors

• Lucky Charms Cereal Milk: The One With Real Marshmallows

  Lucky Charms Cereal Milk is the standout here -- and not just because of the rainbow label. GHOST actually included real Lucky Charms magical marshmallows in the formula, which shows up in the ingredient panel (Sugar, Corn Syrup, Dextrose, Gelatin, natural colors from vegetable juice, carmine, spirulina, and turmeric). That's the same marshmallow magic you'd expect from the cereal itself.

  The real marshmallows do push the macros slightly higher: 4g of total carbs and 3g of sugar per scoop (2g added sugars), compared to 3g carbs and 1g sugar in the other two. That's a very minor tradeoff for anyone counting macros, but worth noting.

  For existing fans: Lucky Charms Cereal Milk replaces Marshmallow Cereal Milk as a permanent flavor. You're getting the same concept with a licensed upgrade.

• Cocoa Puffs Cereal Milk: Straight Chocolate

  Cocoa Puffs Cereal Milk skips the cereal-piece inclusions and goes straight to flavor: natural and artificial flavors plus cocoa powder (processed with alkali) do the heavy lifting here. The result is a rich, chocolatey cereal milk profile: not dessert-decadent, but that specific chocolate flavor you remember from the bowl.

  At 3g carbs and just 1g total sugar, the macros are clean. Sodium lands at 220mg per scoop, the highest of the three, but well within normal range.

• Trix Cereal Milk: Fruity, Colorful, Clean

  Trix Cereal Milk leans fruity, with natural and artificial flavors anchoring the profile and beet root powder added for color. That's a cleaner way to get the vibrant look without artificial dyes, and it keeps the formula gluten free alongside the other two.

  With 1g of total sugar and 0g added sugars, Trix has the lightest sugar profile of the three. Trix replaces the former Fruity Cereal Milk as a permanent flavor.
