MuscleSport Lean Whey: Huckleberry Cheesecake & Lemon Pound Cake

Back in August, MuscleSport released a new Lemon Pound Cake flavor of their famous Lean Whey protein formula in celebration of Natural Body Inc.’s 2023 Block Party. The Block Party is a huge event every year, and we were happy to see MuscleSport getting in the spirit with the rich, delicious new flavor.

Now, Lemon Pound Cake is available for everyone. Not only that, but we have another new flavor to look forward to as well.

This new flavor is unique and was brought to life from real world inspiration Musclesport Founder and CEO Jason Mancuso (The Supp Chef) got from a trip out west. Who better to make a new flavor than Jason Mancuso?

Yellowstone Huckleberry Cheesecake

As the first in a new line of Lean Whey Gourmet Cheesecake flavors, Yellowstone Huckleberry Cheesecake is just as sinfully aristocratic as it sounds.

Huckleberries are prominent in the northwestern United States, particularly in the Yellowstone region. Jason Mancuso has spent a lot of time exploring that neck of the woods, and this flavor is inspired by his visit to a small-family owned restaurant near Yellowstone that served the dessert.

The Supp Chef himself gave us a little story to share with the readers on what inspired him to make this unique new flavor:

“Huckleberries are similar to blueberries and are primarily found in the northwest USA, specifically the Yellowstone region, where I have traveled extensively over the last 5 years. I personally love the Northwest USA and enjoy exploring Yellowstone.

In fact, two years ago, Kate and I were hiking through the backwoods of Yellowstone and unexpectedly encountered a huge Grizzly Bear. It was about 20 yards away from us, but thankfully, it didn’t notice us. We quietly backed away and then sprinted as fast as we could to get out of there, hoping it didn’t catch a whiff or see us. Those were exhilarating times that I wouldn’t trade for anything, and I highly recommend exploring the area if you love nature and America! Just make sure to bring your bear spray.

Now, let’s shift our focus back to our Lean Whey Huckleberry Cheesecake. I personally adore everything huckleberry, and if you visit Yellowstone, you’ll witness more varieties of Huckleberry than Forest and Bubba Gump have of shrimp. I cherish the flavor and was inspired to create this recipe after savoring the most amazing Huckleberry Cheesecake at a small family-owned restaurant just outside Yellowstone back in 2021.”

• Lean Whey Protein Matrix – 29g

  • Cross-Flow Cold-Infused Micro-Filtrated Whey Protein Isolate: a highly bioavailable form of whey protein, which is the market standard for protein powder due to its status as a complete protein (containing all nine essential amino acids)
  • Hydrolyzed Whey Protein (14g yielding 11.2g protein): while whey protein isolate has more protein by weight, hydrolyzed whey is broken down into smaller amino acid chains, leading to better digestion.

• Lean Whey Fat Metabolizing Matrix – 5g

  

  • Fibersol-2: a soluble corn fiber that helps boost gastrointestinal health and digestion.
