Mamaw’s Banana Pudding & Strawberry Bundt Cake

While the original six Patriot’s Whey flavors covered last month featured more chocolate and cinnamon-centric types of flavors, these two nostalgic releases take on more of a fruity profile – but keep it smooth and rich. The flavors are Mamaw’s Banana Pudding and Strawberry Bundt Cake, both excellent solo or mixed together, for those who are adventurous enough.

Staying true to Merica Labz’ more more more theme, they also both feature inclusions, although they may not be quite as large as the huge cereal chunks in the infamous Fortuitous Keepsakes flavor!

Mamaw’s Banana Pudding Profile and Macros

Mamaw’s Banana Puddin comes in at a bit heavier of macros compared to the Strawberry Bundt Cake flavor.

With Mamaw’s Banana Pudding, the inclusions are Sweet Graham Crumbs, based on both enriched flour and whole wheat graham flour – so they’re definitely not gluten-free. Below are the macros in each 38.7 gram scoop:

• Calories: 150

• Protein: 25g

• Total Fat: 3.5g

• Total Carbohydrates: 5g

  • Dietary Fiber: <1g

  • Total Sugars: 2g

This is generally on the upper end of the Patriot’s Whey flavors, but is not the highest, as other flavors have 160 calories per serving. There are 25 servings per container.

Strawberry Bundt Cake Profile and Macros

With Strawberry Bundt Cake, you get a slightly cleaner profile with fewer carbs and less fat. The inclusions are freeze-dried strawberry pieces, and Merica added a bit of red beet powder for a bit more color. In each 35.2 gram scoop, you’ll get the following:

Consider Strawberry Bundt Cake to be the “cleanest” of the Patriot’s Whey flavors!

• Calories: 130

• Protein: 25g

• Total Fat: 2.5g

• Total Carbohydrates: 2g

  • Dietary Fiber: <1g

  • Total Sugars: 1g

You can consider this the “cleanest” label of the lineup, and the inclusions may even pack a smidge of nutritional support as well.

In general, with a pure whey protein concentrate, this is the kind of macro profile you should expect as a base — the numbers will generally only go up depending on what’s added after the fact. And with Merica Labz, you know they generally add a lot of stuff.

Strawberry Bundt Cake definitely keeps it lighter and cleaner, but it’s still thick thanks to the whey protein concentrate and dual thickener blend that uses both xanthan gum and guar gum.
