Ghost Licenses Sour Patch Kids and Swedish Fish with Project X

Post Updated with Mike’s tasting review of these two flavors at the bottom!

Are you a fan of candy? Do you happen to like Sour Patch Kids, Swedish Fish, and Warheads? Dan, Ryan, and the team over at Ghost have now finalized two more co-branded collaborations that will appeal to the candy-loving supplement masses.

Ghost Project X Swedish Fish

Ghost ‘Project X’ flavors are going to be approved by the ACTUAL Candy Makers. You know these flavors are going to be insane!

Since starting the company in 2016 and releasing the industry-first Warheads flavor, the company has now revealed what they’ve been calling Project X on social media. Project X has been in the works for over three years now, literally before the brand even launched. The news finally hit in one of their “Building the Brand” YouTube episodes (Season 3 Episode 4) where Ghost announced that they’ve started an official licensing partnership with Swedish Fish and Sour Patch Kids to flavor their Ghost BCAAs.

Licensing requires approval from true flavor experts

For anyone who has tried the Warheads collaboration flavors in Ghost Pump or Ghost Legend, the company is very particular about flavor perfection – as they must be. Ghost will sample dozens of test batches before finally releasing their product, but not only that, it must also get the approval of the company they’re licensing with — and those are true candy flavor experts.

Because of such requirements and more, Ghost Pump was a project that took over 1.5 years, and Project X has taken double that amount of time. Daniel Lourenco has been working in the industry long enough to know patience is a virtue. For those unaware, Dan worked for Cellucor in the past with the flavoring of their flagship product C4 as well as their COR-Performance Whey Protein.

Ghost Project X Sour Patch

Dude, Seriously? Brand name Sour Patch Kids flavored?! This stuff is going to be awesome!

The two new flavors named Sour Patch Watermelon and Swedish Fish debuted the weekend of the 2018 Mr. Olympia, when Ghost hosted a “pop-up event” at the sneaker store named “12am Run”.

Project X will be available on Ghost’s website when it’s ready — as in when plenty of units are available for sale (use coupon code PRICEPLOW when shopping there!).

Ghost nailed Warheads, expect no different with Swedish Fish and Sour Patch Kids

Ghost has nailed all of their previous Warhead releases, so we have to imagine the two new flavors of Ghost BCAAs will be nothing short of 100% on-point — especially because they have to be, as mentioned above.
