It's official. Raza Bashir, the innovation mind behind EuphoriQ, the Peptide Series, and EFF'N lineup, is now CEO of Iovate Health Sciences, parent company of MuscleTech. A four-time PricePlow Podcast guest just took the top job. Congrats, Raza!
If you've followed the PricePlow Podcast over the past few years, Raza Bashir needs no introduction. He's joined us on the show four times, championed some of the most forward-thinking ingredient launches in recent sports nutrition history, and has been a genuine friend to this community. Today, June 16, 2026, it's official: Raza has been named Chief Executive Officer of Iovate Health Sciences International, effective immediately.[1-3]
Iovate is the Oakville, Ontario-based parent company behind MuscleTech, Hydroxycut, Six Star Pro Nutrition, and Purely Inspired. For PricePlow readers, MuscleTech is the brand you've watched Raza help transform most visibly over the past four years.
He explained what's driven him since day one:

A Two-Decade Foundation
Raza comes into the CEO role from his position as Chief Innovation Officer. He holds an MSc in Human Health and Nutritional Science from the University of Guelph, sits on the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) board and its Sports Nutrition Committee, and spearheaded the Iovate/MuscleTech Metabolism and Sport Science Lab partnership with the University of Toronto.
That's the credential base. What the PricePlow community knows him for is the work.
The Recent Launches That Defined His Ascension
Consider that this is only what's been going on in just the past few years:

Paraxanthine and EuphoriQ.
Raza was one of the first executives to bring enfinity paraxanthine to the sports nutrition market. He joined us alongside Shawn Wells on Episode #072 of the PricePlow Podcast back in September 2022 to debut the iQ Series, and that bet paid off. The line evolved into EuphoriQ, one of the definitive paraxanthine pre-workouts on the market today.

Dileucine and Peptide 185.
Raza and Shawn came back for Episode #123 in February 2024, introducing dileucine (the di-leucine peptide in MuscleTech's Peptide Series) before most of the industry had caught on. Both paraxanthine and dileucine have gained serious traction since those exclusive launches.

The EFF'N Series.
At the GNC Global Conference in August 2025, Raza was live on Episode #177 when he effectively previewed the EFF'N brand on PricePlow before the official announcement. It was exactly the kind of moment that happens when someone treats you as a real partner rather than a press outlet. The EFF'N Series launched that fall, spanning EFF'N Hydrate and EFF'N Cut alongside EFF'N Energy.

Most recently, Raza joined us for Episode #183 in October 2025 for a deep dive into MuscleTech's quality standards across 28-plus manufacturing partners. When questions about MuscleTech's Nitro-Tech testing emerged in mid-2025, the brand's infrastructure held up under scrutiny. That reflects the systems Raza spent years building.
Raza's Vision for the Role
Raza has made clear this isn't about changing direction. It's about returning to what Iovate does best. His message to the team was direct:
