This spring 2021, Raw Nutrition released two cookies and cream products for their protein lineup.
The uber-hot brand has announced Cookies and Cream flavors for both their 100% Vegan Protein and 100% Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate (also known as Raw Protein). Both cookies and cream products are rich in protein but have real cookie pieces added. They both have incredible amino acid profiles, but Vegan is also loaded with additional vitamins to help prevent common deficiencies often seen in plant-based dieters.
We’ve got the labels, a tasting review, and more information below, but first check out the prices on both products using PricePlow, and sign up for our Raw Nutrition news alerts:

Our Cookies & Cream Tasting Review
Now let’s get into the details of each one:
Raw Nutrition’s 100% Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate Cookies and Cream Flavor
Cookies and Cream 100% Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate is a simple protein powder by delivering 25g of protein with only 120 calories. It’s low in carbohydrates at just 4 grams, and also low in sugar, at 3 grams, per serving.
It’s flavored with Sweetly Stevia (organic, non-GMO erythritol) trehalose organic steviol glycosides (rebaudioside reb A 98%) natural flavors, rice concentrate anti-caking agent), cocoa (processed with alkali), natural flavors, cookie bits, and xanthan gum, non-dairy sunflower creamer, salt, steviol glycoside (95%), lactase, and papain. It’s important to note that this product does contain milk (whey).
Raw Nutrition’s 100% Grass Fed Whey Isolate Protein (simply known as Raw Nutrition Protein) is a great choice for those looking for a protein product that’s low in carbohydrates and sugars or one they can take at night prior to going to bed.
100% Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate Macronutrients:
When we covered Raw Protein in our earlier Raw Nutrition Protein article, we pointed out that this is a 100% whey protein isolate, one should expect the protein content to be high and fat, carbohydrates, and sugars to be low. Each flavor serving size and exact calories/macronutrients will vary slightly depending on the flavor. The macros listed are for the new cookies and cream flavor.
Here’s what one scoop (-38.5g) of Raw Protein delivers:
- Calories: 120
- Carbs: 4g / 1% DV
- Sugars: 3g
- Includes 0g Added Sugars
- Protein:
- Fat: 0.5g
Raw Nutrition’s 100% Vegan Protein Cookies and Cream Flavor
Raw Nutrition’s 100% Vegan Cookies and Cream Protein is not your ordinary plant protein. It provides 20 grams of protein and is loaded with vitamins and amino acids. This protein is low in carbs at only 3 grams, and low in sugars at just 2 grams per serving.
The ingredients used to ensure it’s 100% vegan are pea protein isolate, brown rice protein, flava bean protein, and mung bean protein – the latter two added to ensure a rich, smoother texture not found in other pea/rice plant proteins. The flavoring comes from Sweetly Stevia, cocoa (processed alkali), natural flavors, cookie bits, xanthan gum, non-dairy sunflower creamer, salt, and steviol glycoside (95%). 100% Vegan Protein contains 22.94 grams of amino acids, including: alanine, arginine, aspartic, cystine, glutamic, glycine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, threonine, tryptophan, tyrosine, and valine.
To read more about these amino acids, check out an article previously published on the PricePlow blog, “EAA is the New BCAA: Essential Acids Stage a Coup“.
This 100% Vegan Protein also contains added Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B12, C, D3, and biotin. We all know that vitamins are necessary for a wide range of biological functions. To delve deeper into the function and benefit of each of the listed vitamins, check out our main “Vitamins A-Z” page.
100% Vegan Protein Macronutrients and Micronutrients:
In our article titled “RAW Nutrition Vegan Protein: Naturally Sweetened and Vitamin Fortified“, we broke down the different ingredients and the micronutrients. However, as we stated above with the Whey Isolate, calories and serving size will vary by flavor. The macronutrients listed below and in the image are for the new cookies and cream flavor.
Here’s what one scoop (33g) of RAW Vegan Protein contains:
- Calories: 110
- Carbs: 3g
- Sugars:
- Protein: 20g
- Fat: 2g
- Saturated Fat: .5g
Both products provide you with a good source of protein alongside a low carb and sugar count — and great taste to go with it. It’s nice to see that Raw Nutrition provides consumers with a great tasting vegan option that’s loaded with vitamins and aminos. But for those friendly with dairy, we have a great tasting 100% Whey Protein Isolate that only provides a great source of protein without the high carb and sugar counts.

All of the RAW Vegan Protein flavors use Sweetly Stevia, which means there’s no bitter aftertaste. When we sampled these flavors, we found them to be smooth and well-balanced.
If RAW Nutrition keeps coming up with these great new flavors for their Vegan and Whey Protein Isolate lines, and we hope they do, we will be there to cover them. So stayed tuned!
RAW Nutrition Continues to Not Compromise
RAW Vegan Protein contains four high-quality plant-protein sources, along with several beneficial vitamins. RAW Protein helps improve absorption by including digestive enzymes.
What’s obvious by the release of these great products is that Matt Jansen and Dr. Domenic Iacovone are determined to develop a premium sports nutrition brand, as you can hear in Episode #042. RAW Nutrition is proof that they have definitely accomplished that goal! We have covered many products from RAW Nutrition and we will continue doing that.
