Myprotein Impact Week 2021: Black Friday’s Half Birthday

Everyone who’s followed Myprotein since their American resurgence (@MyproteinUS) knows that they bring some incredible deals on top of excellent products like their recent The Pre Workout THERMO and their new Command Gaming Supplement.

Myprotein Impact Week

It’s Impact Week at Myprotein, and at a perfect time – six months from Black Friday and just in time to stock up for summer!

One of Myprotein’s biggest annual sales is on Black Friday, of course… but that’s only once a year. It turns out that we’re six months from Thanksgiving right now, so it’s perfect timing for a massive sale with some new product launches and limited edition flavors!

Time to stock up for the summer, because…

Myprotein Impact Week is Live!

Those of you signed up for our supplement deals have already seen some alerts on some insane specials from them — that’s because it’s Myprotein Impact Week, and they kicked things off with 45% off discounts!

A new flavor system: IMPACT Blue Raspberry

To kick things off, Myprotein has a new flavor system: Impact Blue Raspberry.

You’d expect this to be for their pre workouts, but that’s actually not the case. Instead, the potent new blue raspberry flavor has launched in the following products:

  1. Myprotein Clear Whey Isolate (Blue Raspberry already sold out at time of publishing!)
  2. Myprotein Clear Vegan Isolate, and
  3. Myprotein Clear Collagen

This may be a limited-edition flavor system for at least a couple of the products, so if you’re interested, jump on them while you can – it looks like Blue Raspberry Clear Whey Isolate has already sold out, unfortunately.

Clear Collagen?!

Myprotein Clear Collagen

Myprotein Clear Collagen launched in the Impact Blue Raspberry flavor – will it be here to stay?!

The newcomer listed above is Myprotein’s Clear Collagen, another “Clear” supplement in the arsenal. At time of writing, the Impact Blue Raspberry flavor is the only flavor, but we’ll track to see if that’s a permanent flavor.

Myprotein’s Clear Collagen Powder provides 20g of collagen in each serving, yielding 18g of protein per serving. As with the other Clear products from Myprotein, the product is pre-hydrolyzed and easier to digest. It’s actually so well-processed that it settles translucently — not exactly clear like water, but definitely more clear than your typical protein shake!

Collagen has become an increasingly popular supplement, especially for those concerned about their joints and connective tissues[1,2] as well as hair, skin, and nail health.[3,4] There are also cardiovascular health benefits worth mentioning.[5]

Problem is, most folks don’t eat as much meat off of the bone anymore, and that’s the best source of natural collagen — so we supplement more! As we age, our natural collagen levels decline, and supplementing or eating more is a great way to restore those levels.

A different kind of protein, higher in glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline

We often like to distinguish that collagen is not the most anabolic “muscle building” type of protein, due to its amino acid ratios that are lower in some of the mTOR-stimulating amino acids, making it less of a “complete” protein.[6]

However, most Myprotein athletes get plenty of protein in the form of chicken, fish, whey (or pea/rice), etc. Not enough people get enough of the other amino acids like glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline – critical for hair, skin, nails, and connective tissues.

So if you’re big on supplemental proteins and chicken, but not eating as much meat off the bone, this is a must-try supplement category.

As for the other two Clear supplements, learn more about them in our Myprotein Clear Whey Isolate and Myprotein Clear Vegan Isolate articles.

Don’t miss out on Impact Week

Myprotein The Pre Workout Thermo

Previously: Myprotein gets spicy with The Pre Workout Thermo

We’re not sure if Myprotein meant to put this sale exactly juxtaposed from Black Friday, but it is definitely great timing for a huge sale and some major deals. Summer’s just around the corner and few other brands are blowing out any major sales.

Meanwhile, summertime is right when we get into the Clear Whey Isolate products a bit more — our strategy has always been to use more water than they recommend (such as 16-18oz instead of 10-12), and make it ice cold. Perfect for summer.

As always, sign up for our Myprotein news alerts here on PricePlow – we know something major is right around the corner, and will be covering it shortly!
