GHOST Protein Bar Adds Mint Chocolate as Its Fourth Flavor

GHOST Protein Bar Adds Mint Chocolate as Its Fourth Flavor

GHOST went with a dessert classic for the fourth Protein Bar flavor. Mint Chocolate brings 20g protein and 2g sugar per two-bar pouch, made with General Mills like the rest of the lineup.

GHOST Protein Bar is getting its first new flavor since launch, and the brand went with a classic: Mint Chocolate. It's the fourth permanent flavor in the lineup, produced in partnership with General Mills like the rest of the bars, and it keeps the same headline numbers: 20g of protein and 2g of sugar per two-bar pouch.

It's been about a year since we covered the GHOST Protein Bar launch, when GHOST entered the bar category in October 2025 with a two-stick format GHOST billed as a first for the U.S. market. Instead of one dense brick, each pouch holds two slimmer chocolate-coated bars with a layered center, built to eat more like a candy bar than a typical protein bar. Since it's been a while, we'll recap what's inside below.

National retail rollout is planned for January 2027, but Legends get first access through GHOST's website and app, starting with a Secure-A-Bar window on October 28. Check PricePlow for availability as Mint Chocolate starts to land:

Mint Chocolate: A Dessert Classic With 20g Protein

Mint and chocolate is one of the most reliable flavor pairings around, from after-dinner mints to mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Mint Chocolate uses the same layered, two-stick construction as the other three flavors, with the packaging showing a chocolate coating wrapped around a golden center. One serving is the full 65g pouch, which contains both bars. When the bars first launched, GHOST pitched the two-stick format as social and shareable, so how you split them up is your call.

GHOST Protein Bar Ingredients Recap

We broke down every ingredient in our original GHOST Protein Bar article. Mint Chocolate runs on the same core protein, fiber, and sweetener system, so here's the refresher on what's doing the work:

GHOST Protein Bar

At long last, GHOST Lifestyle has launched a Protein Bar! It has two skinnier protein bars inside (making for extra coating), providing 20g protein from 270 calories. And it tastes great.

  • Protein Blend (20g protein per pouch): The blend combines hydrolyzed milk protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, and milk protein isolate. Whey digests quickly, while milk protein isolate carries milk's natural mix of roughly 80% casein and 20% whey, so it digests more slowly. The hydrolyzed milk protein has been partially broken down into smaller peptides, which bar makers often use to help manage texture.
  • Oligofructose and Inulin (fiber): Oligofructose and inulin are fermentable fibers (fructans) that feed beneficial gut bacteria. They help bring each pouch to 9g of dietary fiber and add a little sweetness along the way.
  • Allulose, Maltitol Syrup, Sorbitol, Glycerin, and Stevia (sweeteners): This group is how GHOST keeps total sugar at 2g. Allulose is a rare sugar that tastes like table sugar but doesn't count toward Total or Added Sugars on the Nutrition Facts panel. Maltitol syrup and sorbitol are sugar alcohols that add sweetness and body (the panel lists 7g of sugar alcohol per pouch), glycerin keeps the bars moist and chewy, and stevia leaf extract fills in sweetness without calories.
  • Palm and Palm Kernel Oil, Cocoa, and Chocolate Liquor (coating): These fats and cocoa ingredients build the chocolatey coating and layered texture. The cocoa side includes cocoa, cocoa processed with alkali (also called Dutch-process cocoa), and chocolate liquor, which is simply ground cocoa beans (no alcohol involved). They also account for much of the 13g of fat and 9g of saturated fat, which is the trade-off for the candy-bar build.

The rest of the label (soy and sunflower lecithin, canola oil, salt, disodium phosphate, and carrageenan) handles emulsification, texture, and shelf stability. The bars contain milk and soy, and may contain almonds, cashews, peanuts, and wheat. If fermentable fibers or sugar alcohols tend to bother your stomach, that's worth knowing before you dig in.

Conclusion: Mint Arrives Early for Legends

Mint Chocolate is here to stay, but the early-access windows are short. GHOST's Secure-A-Bar runs from 12pm CT on October 28 to 11:59am CT on October 29, 2026, followed by a direct-to-consumer drop of 12-packs on November 30. Both happen exclusively through GHOST's website and app, ahead of the national retail rollout in January 2027.

The core build stays the same: 20g of protein and 2g of sugar across two layered bars, now in one of the most familiar dessert flavors there is. And if you're a fan of GHOST Protein Cereal, stay tuned, because GHOST has something coming on the cereal side right around the same time.

We'll keep tracking Mint Chocolate as it moves from GHOST's site to store shelves. Check PricePlow for prices and availability below, and sign up for GHOST news alerts so you're ready for the next drop.
