Isomorph 28 Ingredients

Isomorph is pure whey protein isolate, the highest quality form of whey protein you can get. However, APS utilizes a variety of whey isolate forms to bring a superior product to the market, that no other isolate can match.

  • Cold Processed Micro & Ultra Filtered Whey Protein Isolate

    Isomorph uses a blend of several different types of whey protein isolate to give you tons of high-quality protein and very little carbs or fats.

    Whey Protein Isolates (WPI) contain at least 90% protein[1], have been processed from whey protein concentrate (WPC) to remove all carbs (lactose) and fats. Think of isolates as a more “refined” source of whey protein, and a big improvement in terms of protein content and digestibility over WPC.

    There are several methods to produce isolates, but the most common is cold processed micro-filtered (CMF). This technique is an all-natural, non-chemical based process that uses high-tech ceramic filters. The CMF process uses low temperatures that allow won’t denature the proteins the way other methods will, allowing for very high protein contents with low fat and lactose levels.

    Ultra-filtration is another means of using filters to where the mesh size is about one micrometer, very VERY tiny. Ultra-filtered WPC is passed through the mesh and what is left is WPI that has extremely high protein content, giving you everything you want, and very little of what you don’t!

  • Ion Exchange Whey Protein Isolate

    Producing Ion Exchange WPI involves chemical processing. Here, WPI is made by tinkering with pH levels of whey. WPC passes through a column where it contacts resin beads that have been given an electrical charge.[3]

    After passing through the column, the protein molecules cling to the beads while the lactose and fats pass through. While this does yield a product with ultra-high protein content, the use of chemicals tends to denature the protein as well as remove many of the antioxidants and essential amino acids that whey naturally contains. Plus, the chemicals lend a very salty, artificial taste to the powder that doesn’t taste much like dairy in the end.[4]

  • Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate

    Hydrolysates represent the last purification or “refinement” of whey. Hydrolysates are treated with enzymes that “predigest” or hydrolyze whey protein. This yields a protein that has the fastest rate of digestion of all whey protein powders and floods the bloodstream with all the essential amino acids faster than WPC or regular WPI.

    While you might think this would be great for muscle gains, two different studies have compared whey and hydrolyzed whey to casein, and found negligible differences in terms of improved gains.[5,6]

  • Sweeteners

    You may be wondering why we chose to elaborate on the sweeteners here, as most protein powders seem to just use a mix of Sucralose and Ace-K. However, keeping with their innovative, rogue ways, APS utilizes a comprehensive blend of sweeteners to give the best taste to the their powders.
