  • L-Citrulline – 6000mg

    L-Citrulline has become one of the most reliable and most popular used nitric oxide boosters on the market today. Pump-Tart delivers an abundant 6000 milligrams providing a full clinical dose. This dynamic amino acid is needed in helping our bodies create more L-arginine, which in effect creates more nitric oxide (NO). Nitric oxide aids in the relaxation and expansion of our blood vessels, allowing for greater blood flow and delivery of oxygen to the body.[1,2] This effect (known as vasodilation) contributes to what weight lifters call “the pump.”

    In consequence, this provides the endurance and stamina we desire during exercise for those big pumps. In addition, our bodies receive more efficient nutrient delivery and reduced blood pressure giving us more sustainable energy, improved recovery and helping us avoid the dreaded “jitters.”[3-6]

    Most users know the greatness of L-citrulline at this point – the main idea here is nitric oxide pumps and it’s well-dosed – here it’s twice the clinically-tested dose for statistically significant nitric oxide improvements.

  • Betaine Anhydrous – 2500mg

    The role of Betaine (also known as trimethylglycine) as a muscle builder is similar to creatine, but adds a few different benefits.     Pump-Tart continues to impress with another powerful and notable ingredient with Nitrosigine, created by the developers at Nutrition21.[12] pushxPWR didn’t hold back on the serving amount either — Pump-Tart delivers big with a 1500 milligram dose, the clinically-studied dose used in all of Nutrition21’s research that’s been shown to be comparable to 8 grams of citrulline malate.[13]

    Nitrosigine features a patented inositol-stabilized arginine silicate, and the beauty is in how it increases the bioavailability of L-arginine, allowing for more viable and potent nitric oxide boosting. Nitrosigine is rapidly becoming one of the industry’s most studied and sought after ingredients, with robust research coming out frequently.

    With the increased bioavailability of L-arginine, users get a more sustainable nitric oxide boost, giving superior results. Research has affirmed that mental fatigue decreases athletes’ responsiveness and bodily movements, as well as sport-specific technical performance,[20] consequently proving the seriousness of cultivating a safe and reliable cognitive state during intense exercise. By upholding cognitive function and averting mental fatigue from strenuous exercise, athletes can go on focused and energized for prolonged periods.

    L-ornithine hydrochloride is an endurance-boosting amino acid that binds to ammonia and releases more citrulline in the process. L-orthinine is one of the three amino acids involved in the urea cycle (the other two are L-arginine and L-citrulline). The urea cycle is vitally important for converting highly toxic ammonia into urea and excreting it from the body.

    Studies show that L-ornithine is efficient at warding off fatigue.[23] With high intensity exercise, ammonia levels begin to rise, and this increase in ammonia immensely reduces muscle function.[24] Preventing this increase in ammonia drastically improves muscle performance.[25]

    Once again, pumpxPWR proves that they’ve done their due diligence in making Pump-Tart a high quality product – we don’t see ornithine taken advantage of enough. While most of us know of the efficacy of citrulline and Nitrosigine, L-ornithine deserves more attention and should be considered the most “underrated” ingredient in the formula — especially at this solid dosage.

  • Taurine – 1000mg

In a 2018 meta-analysis, researchers observed ten different studies and analyzed taurine’s effects on stamina.[26] The researchers concluded that when doses of taurine ranged from 1 to 6 grams per day (in single doses and for up to 2 weeks) across numerous subjects, it significantly increased overall endurance performance.

    Taurine is also an osmolyte, giving more support to our cells and balancing water in our bodies.[27] This makes taurine a perfect pairing with betaine as it further boosts muscle contraction biochemistry while cutting down oxidative stress and even enhancing fat digestion.[28-31] Hydration is critical for maximum physical performance and pushxPWR once again comes through.

    Cognitively, taurine benefits focus by protecting the brain against inflammation and stress.[29] It also upregulates GABA receptors, and boosts activity in neuronal synapses.[26] Taurine’s assistance here helps with the reproduction of new brain cells, and has been identified as an effective advancement in brain development.[32]

  • Low-Molecular Weight BioActive Peptides (as VasoDrive-AP) – 100mg

    One last Nitrosigine immage — with Arginine HCl, plasma arginine drops off a cliff. With Nitrosigine (ASI), it keeps on ticking. The uptick at hour 4 seems to be due to arginase inhibition!

    VasoDrive-AP is a unique ingredient that promotes better pump performance by delivering greater blood flow and vasodilation, while simultaneously reducing blood pressure.[33] Developed by Noyanturi, VasoDrive-AP is a proprietary ingrredient produced through a patented fermentation and enzymatic process. This unique procedure produces two lactotripeptides, Valyl-Prolyl-Proline (VPP) and Isoleucyl-Prolyl-Proline(IPP), which have the impressive outcome of hindering angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE).[33]

    For those that are unaware, ACE causes vasoconstriction, which reduces blood flow, decreases nutrient and oxygen delivery, and ultimately decreases your performance[34] — the exact opposite of what you want while training! VasoDrive-AP prohibits this process providing a clearer pathway to achieve greater pumps and better physical performance.

    An ingredient gaining in popularity which pays huge dividends in the gym and we love to see it in this formula. As a final note, VasoDrive-AP is made from hydrolyzed milk casein, so people with severe dairy allergies should be aware of this ingredient – although we’re confident that it’s primarily just the tripeptides and not any milk derivatives inside.
