Growth Surge Ingredients

Looking at the label for Growth Surge, you’ll find it’s hitting three pro-muscle building compounds we’ve talked extensively on the blog previously. In reality, it can be dosed any time of day, but why not use it post workout when nutrient delivery to your muscles is at an all time high?

  • Creatine Monohydrate (3g)

    Jacked Factory Growth Surge Ingredients

Growth Surge contains a trio of proven strength and recovery boosting ingredients to enhance your athletic performance.

Included at the exact same 3g dose as the popular Altius pre workout, Growth Surge also includes creatine monohydrate. What “muscle-building” supplement would be complete without the OG muscle builder?!

Creatine really needs little explanation. You know it, you trust it, and you love it… because it flat out works! Numerous studies have proven creatine:

    • Increases power and strength[1,2]
    • Supports lean mass gains[3,4]
    • Decreases fatigue[5]
    • Improves cellular hydration[6,7]

Creatine can certainly be taken pre workout (as in the case of Altius) or any other time of the day, but why not take an additional 3g post workout when nutrient delivery (and insulin sensitivity) is up?

Meanwhile, any concern of side effects for creatine have been diminished, as several safety studies have shown that it’s extremely benign. No need to believe the old wive’s tales, creatine is insanely safe!

  • Betaine Anhydrous (2.5g)

A synergist with creatine, as well as a powerful ergogenic in its own right, betaine also makes an appearance in Growth Surge, much like it did in Altius. Betaine, a.k.a. trimethylglycine (TMG), is a choline derivative that operates as an essential methyl donor in the body.

One of betaine’s primary jobs is the methylation of homocysteine to the amino acid of methionine[8], which is required for optimal creatine production and muscle protein synthesis.

On top of that, betaine also aids power, endurance, and strength.[9,10,11] And, it can even reduce soreness, making it extremely useful to include in a post workout supplement.

So don’t forget about creatine’s partner in betaine. It’s found in spinach… so Popeye was right after all.

  • L-Carnitine L-Tartrate (2g)

    Jacked Factory Growth Surge Benefits

Growth Surge can help reduce fatigue, enhance recovery, and improve performance.

L-Carnitine L-Tartrate (LCLT) is a highly bioavailable form of L-Carnitine that’s been shown several times to be effective for people of all kinds, especially when it comes to performance and recovery. LCLT boosts endurance and blood flow while decreasing levels of important muscle damage markers including myoglobin concentrations and serum CK.[12,13]

    “Other” kinds of gains too..

Additionally, LCLT enhances androgen receptor density in muscle cells[14,15], which improves the efficiency of anabolic hormones, like testosterone.

The 2g dose is where it’s at, so Jacked Factory has hit all the right notes with Growth Surged.

  • BioPerine (5mg)

To assist your body in utilizing every gram of recovery and muscle-building goodness, Jacked Factory includes 5g of BioPerine, the industry-preferred patented black pepper extract.

Flavors Available

As we’ve seen with other Jacked Factory supplements, the brand doesn’t go crazy with 5-10 different flavors of their products. They focus on a single flavor at a time and release additional ones the longer the product is around. Currently, the lone flavor that is available for Growth Surge is SWOLEBERRY.

Jacked Factory Growth Surge Trio

Growth Surge is naturally sweetened with no artificial colors, will the SWOLEBERRY flavor taste good?

Note that pineapple fruit powder is included in this supplement, so you might get a bit of tropical taste with it too? We may just need to find out about that.

No artificial colors

Jacked Factory stays true to form here, with no artificial colors – it’s colored with Beet Root Powder instead (which may confer its own benefits, but is likely dosed to small to matter).

Growth surge does use the two artificial sweeteners in Acesulfame Potassium (Ace-K) and Sucralose, however… so we’re expecting this to taste very good, especially since none of the ingredients in the product are too tough to mask, outside of that black pepper extract!

Takeaway

Jacked Factory Altius

The product that started it all! Click to see ALTIUS!

Sometimes, simple is better. It doesn’t need to be taken post workout, either, but that’s a good time to use it. We love supplements like this – sometimes you want something tasty to drink… might as well get some gains in while you’re at it!

Again, we see Jacked Factory bring the goods with its formulations. Growth Surge is pure and straightforward — include proven ingredients at their research-backed doses and you have the makings of a quality product.

Together with Altius, you’ve got everything you need (and then some) for intense, productive training sessions and effective recovery.
