Ghost X CINNABON Collab Announced for Vegan and Whey!

It’s that time again – Ghost Lifestyle is back with another flavor collab, and this one sounds truly legendary.

In typical Ghost fashion, the announcement was steeped in a bit of mystery. It all began with an opaque promotional video featuring a delivery man with a couple light blue boxes in tow.

Ghost Cinnabon

Ghost has officially announced a new collaboration with an American favorite: Cinnabon! It will come in both Whey and Vegan Protein, marking this as the first flavor collaboration for Ghost Vegan.

As some of the commenters guessed, and Ghost has now officially announced, the Legends are partnering with an American airport and food court classic: Cinnabon.

Ghost X Cinnabon Whey and Vegan — Ghost’s First Vegan Protein Collab

The Cinnabon collab is in both Ghost Whey and Ghost Vegan, and is the first of its kind for Vegan, which hasn’t had a flavor collab yet. In fact, Cinnabon has even supplied Ghost with the same exact cinnamon that they use in their much-beloved gooey, sugary treats.

Ghost has been a pioneer of collaborations in the supplement space, and they’re still at the top of the heap. It seems like every time we look, they’re coming out with a brand new product in conjunction with brands as disparate as Oreo, Sour Patch Kids and Swedish Fish, and even the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — but anyone who follows our Ghost Lifestyle news page knows there are several more.

But now, Ghost’s plant-based and dairy-free followers can get in on the collaborative action too — this time with Cinnabon’s unique cinnamon flavor in a much less guilt-inducing format: Ghost Vegan and Whey protein powder!

We’re going to dive into a little summary on Cinnabon as well as both varieties of Ghost’s protein, but first, let’s check the PricePlow for our Ghost coupon, and check out our video review of the new flavor:

Cinnabon: Classic American goodness

It would have been difficult to have grown up in American suburbia and not have eaten at least one Cinnabon. It’s almost a universal constant that if there is a mall, there is a Cinnabon stall in that mall’s food court.

Now, malls have seen better days. But unless you’re barely driving age, you probably remember spending some time with your friends at the modern bazaar. Shopping for all kinds of consumer goods – whether you need them or not – interspersed with standard lunch breaks in the food court. You might grab some Panda Express or Chipotle. When you’re done, there is always the nice blue sign calling your name: the Cinnabon sign. The perfect guilty pleasure to cap off a nice, leisurely day.

More vegan than a Cinnabon itself!

Interestingly, if you head over to Cinnabon’s current allergen list,[1] you’ll see that Cinnabon’s classic cinnamon rolls actually have eggs and milk in the dough and milk in the frosting, making Ghost Vegan protein powder more vegan than the Cinnabon itself!

This lets vegan dieters enjoy the incredible cinnamon flavor when they previously couldn’t!

Now let’s see what kind of protein everyone’s in for:

Ghost Whey Cinnabon Macros and Nutrition Facts

Ghost Vegan – How It Works

Ghost Vegan uses three different protein sources to provide 20g of muscle-building protein, as well as additional vitamins and minerals, and the taste is enhanced by this approach. Each 32.5 gram scoop yields 20 grams of high quality vegan protein utilizing the following sources:

  • Pea protein is often used as the main source of protein in powders, even though it has a slightly gritty texture. It is considered a complete protein because it contains all 9 essential amino acids needed for building muscle. Research has shown that pea protein is just as effective as whey protein for building muscle,[2] making it a great option for those who follow a dairy-free diet. Ghost’s formula includes 15g of pea protein, which provides 12g of dietary protein.

Ghost Vegan has become a major part of the Ghost story

Pumpkin seeds are a highly nutritious food with a good amount of protein and a high antioxidant profile. Although not much research is available about their amino acid content, there is research that suggests additional benefits of pumpkin seed protein, including one study from 2009 found that pumpkin seed protein isolate can be used to treat liver disease[3]. Ghost Vegan includes 7.86g of pumpkin seed powder, which provides 5.5g of protein and may contribute to the powder’s texture and taste, along with the pea protein.
  • The nutritional benefits of watermelon seeds are similar to those of pumpkin seeds, as they are a good source of magnesium, B vitamins, healthy fats, and protein. Ghost Vegan contains 3.33 grams of watermelon seed protein, resulting in a yield of an additional 2.5 grams of protein.

The pea protein mostly brings the performance and power, but ther pumpkin and watermelon seed protein bring smoothness, for an incredible blend.

Note the sweetener

It’s worth noting that Ghost Vegan protein powder is sweetened with sucralose — a synthetic sweetener — so this makes it vegan, but not 100% plant-based. For most of our followers, that’s perfectly fine – many are just trying to keep it dairy-free.

One of the best developments in the supplement industry was its evolution into developing flavor collaborations with established brands – and Ghost is the market pioneer with that. In markets dominated by commodity rules and standardized ingredients – like the whey protein market – flavors are often the best way for a brand to stand out.

Ghost has taken this idea to heart, with their gung-ho insistence on developing flavor systems in conjunction with nostalgic brands like Cinnabon that maintain a level of trueness to the treats we all know and love. Instead of focusing on generic flavors, the Legends take the game to the next level by transferring flavors of – let’s be honest – nutritionally-suboptimal desserts into a healthier package, like a vegan protein powder.
