PEScience Select Protein Released in CAKE POP Flavor!

Select Select Protein Cake Pop

Cake Pop flavored Select Protein is here – the icing and the golden yellow cake all in one sip!

With so many exquisite flavors on its menu, PEScience is having a tough time topping itself with its Select Protein Powder.

But when the brand recently asked its consumers what flavor they were missing out on, one answer kept popping up again and again:

Cake!

This “flavor” has seemingly come out of nowhere the past few years, and we’ve noticed the same thing over and over again: they’re all insanely sweet… but none of them taste like CAKE!

PEScience set out to change that. And if they couldn’t, they wouldn’t release it under the flagship Select Protein name.

Seeing that it’s out today, it looks like they’ve done it, and we couldn’t be more excited to share the news and show the deals:

When making this flavor, the team at PEScience tells us that they worked for months to figure out what balance of flavors would come through to make it taste like actual moist yellow cake with vanilla icing — all in one sip! Just like taking a bite out of a cake pop!

It sounds like this isn’t just going to be a limited edition flavor that everyone’s done with after a tub. That’s how the other overly-sweetened cake flavors taste. Just like the other Select Protein flavors, PEScience claims that this one has a balance that will not bore or tire you out!

It’s suggested to mix 1 scoop into 8oz water and you’ll see what they’re getting at.

A bit more about Select Protein

Formerly known as “PES” (for Physique Enhancing Science), PEScience launched Select Protein back around 2013, making it a premium whey and casein blend. Everyone else was launching solo whey protein shakes, but using these two enabled for better-balanced taste and thickness profile than that of a casein or isolate protein on their own (isolates are thinner and caseins will be thicker).

PEScience Select Protein Cake Pop Ingredients

Now this is a clean profile, even for PEScience’s excellent standards!!

This type of blend makes for a “best of both worlds” scenario, giving a lot of thickness and flavor, yet with a clean profile – because so few extra fillers are needed! This means you get a very “high-efficiency” protein blends, giving you a high percentage of protein per scoop – so your tub isn’t half-filled with obnoxious filler. Just the protein blend, the excellent flavors, sweetener, and a dash of the thickeners / emulsifiers.

PEScience Select Protein Cake Pop Nutrition Facts

Cake Pop Select Protein comes in at:

  • 120 calories
  • 24g protein
  • 1g fat
  • 2g carbohydrates
    • 1g sugar

Compare that to your standard piece of cake! The nutrition is actually cleaner than some of the other Select Protein flavors, so we’re pretty sure it’ll be well-received by the high-demanding PEScience fan base.

You can read more about the actual ingredients (from the protein blend to the thickeners used) on our main PEScience Select Protein blog post, which was written when the Strawberry Cheesecake flavor came out.

Cake Pop Select Protein: Did someone finally nail the cake flavor?

PEScience may not have been the first brand to create a cake flavored protein powder, but they worked their tails off to be the first ones to do it right — not just a huge bomb of sucralose!

    Select Protein Cake Pop

The next great PEScience Select Protein Flavor is here: Cake Pop!

Over the years, the brand has added some incredible and unique protein options to the lineup. They were very early to offer Vegan Select Protein, they have a vastly-underrated “cafĂ©” series of flavors that are caffeinated and inspired by coffee, now have PEScience Select Protein Bars (that white chocolate raspberry flavor!!), and even have the Protein 4 Oats made specifically to enhance your oatmeal – and they are all as good as advertised!

With Cake Pop now out and done, what’s up next for this epic lineup? We’re thinking we should get ready for an autumn-time limited edition flavor — we’ve already sent in our suggestion — but it’s tough to predict what PEScience will ever do next.
