MuscleTech Alpha Test Extreme: Why Use Tesnor for Testosterone?

MuscleTech Alpha Test Extreme: Why Use Tesnor for Testosterone?

MuscleTech Alpha Test Extreme is a powerful testosterone booster packed with clinically proven ingredients to naturally enhance testosterone production. It has a 200mg dose of Tesnor, which has been shown to boost free testosterone levels by 13.74%, targeting what matters most.

MuscleTech has always distinguished itself from the countless supplement brands available by pioneering new ingredients like paraxanthine, which have been added to a few of their products (starting with their iQ Series). The company took things further with its Alpha Test Thermo products by combining disparate formulas like fat burners and testosterone boosters.

MuscleTech is once again revolutionizing the fitness supplement space with Alpha Test Extreme, powered by Tesnor®, an ingredient shown to increase testosterone levels naturally, leading to more potential gains at the gym.

A Natural Test Booster Anchored by Tesnor®

Alpha Test Extreme is loaded with ingredients that have been demonstrated to help raise testosterone levels. For example, there’s fenugreek, which has been shown to increase total and free testosterone levels[1] but also improve libido, body composition, and strength.[2] MuscleTech’s new testosterone booster is an excellent bet for anyone looking to naturally improve their ‘T’, using natural ingredients with scientific backing.

What is Tesnor?

Tesnor Logo

Tesnor is a food-derived blend of cacao (theobroma cacao) seed extract and pomegranate (Punica granatum) fruit peel extract. Both are classified as superfoods that provide significant health and performance benefits. Both have been shown to provide various physical and metabolic enhancements, including better blood circulation and reduced recovery times after intense exercise,[3,4] so we’re off to a great start.

But Gencor Pacific takes it even further with Tesnor.

Randomized controlled trials show that Tesnor helps to increase muscle growth in young men while drastically improving the biomarkers of older adult men.[5-7] MuscleTech uses 200 milligrams of Tesnor in Alpha Test Extreme, which is a clinically-backed dose.

Another significant benefit Tesnor provides is its ability to reduce cortisol, known as the “stress hormone”. Cortisol and testosterone have an inverse relationship, meaning chronically higher cortisol levels lead to lower testosterone production. Tesnor also contains antioxidants that help to inhibit aromatase, an enzyme that transforms testosterone into estrogen.

Tesnor’s hormone-supporting constituents can help men improve their overall vitality and strength. It’s one of the select natural products that can help to increase muscle mass, energy, and physical performance — without being stimulatory. Higher testosterone levels also help the body to burn more fat, especially when in a caloric deficit.

Let’s take a look at the two published studies specifically performed using Tesnor:

  • Tesnor Study 1

The first study on Tesnor involved 120 men aged between 21 to 35, and had a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled design.[7] The participants were divided into three groups, with the first getting 200 milligrams of Tesnor daily, the second getting 400 milligrams, and the third getting a placebo. The intervention was 8 weeks long.

    Tesnor Testosterone

Towards the end of the trial, Tesnor really started kicking in, especially at 400 mg. This means you may need to run two bottles of Men’s Health.

The high and low-dose groups showed significant increases in grip strength, muscle growth, and serum-free testosterone levels compared to the group given placebos.[7]

Incredible gains to free and total testosterone

The group that received the smaller dose of Tesnor increased their free testosterone levels by 13.74% from their normal baseline, while the 400 milligram group experienced a 25.29% free testosterone increase.[7] The 200 milligram group increased their total testosterone levels by 6.18%, while the 400 milligram group increased theirs by 18.86%.[7] The higher-dose group also displayed significant increases in the circumference of their mid-upper arm and grip strength.

This study is great because it shows efficacy in young men — numerous ingredients can support such effects in older populations, but fewer do so in the younger demographic. With that said, Tesnor is also tested on middle-aged men:

  • Tesnor Study 2

A second randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial observed Tesnor’s effect on males aged 36 to 55.[6] The study concluded that Tesnor drastically increased testosterone levels, enhanced muscle growth, and reduced symptoms of aging measured against the aging male symptoms scale (AMS).[6]

    Improved overall well-being

The study also showed that participants’ overall well-being increased drastically after 56 days.[6]

MuscleTech Alpha Test Extreme Serum Test Level

The aging males’ symptoms score used during the study is a simple test to measure men’s general health decline due to lower testosterone levels.[8] It’s a 17-item questionnaire that asks bodily, sexual, and psychological questions, with a maximum score of 85 and a minimum of 17. These questionnaires were completed on the 7th, 14th, 28th, and 56th days of supplementation to observe the effects of Tesnor.

The study’s participants also reported reduced stress levels, which is consistent with Tesnor’s ability to reduce the production of cortisol. Participants didn’t suffer any adverse effects from taking Tesnor, making it a safe and effective supplement for improving the psychological, sexual, and physical health of men over 21.[6]

Blood samples were also collected during the study to measure the changes in the participant’s testosterone levels.

  • Toxicological safety study

Toxicology tests have also been successfully performed on Tesnor, with results showing that Tesnor did not produce any signs of toxicity during a 14-day observation period.[9] The animals used for the test also didn’t show any signs of pathological alterations to vital organs when examined.

The scientists concluded that Tesnor supplementation had no adverse effects and is considered a non-irritant to the eyes and skin.[9]

Proposed Mechanisms of Action

The antioxidant, immunomodulatory, and anti-inflammatory effects of Tesnor’s constituents add to the overall psychological, physical, and sexual health of adult males, as shown in the studies above. They help reduce the inflammation and oxidative stress often associated with the deceased testosterone levels caused by aging.[6]

These studies specifically highlight four testosterone-boosting mechanisms caused by Tesnor:

  • Activates Steroidogenesis: The bioactive ingredients in Tesnor seem to boost testosterone production by enhancing steroidogenesis in Leydig cells in the testicles that produce testosterone. It’s theorized to do this by activating an enzyme that plays an essential role in the production of testosterone and other androgens.
  • Reduces oxidative stress: The polyphenols in pomegranate extract, like punicalagin, have strong antioxidant properties that lower oxidative stress in the testicles.[10] Reducing this oxidative damage helps to maintain testosterone production.
  • Increases cAMP levels: Tesnor contains theobromine found in the cocoa seed extract. Theobromine contains an enzyme called phosphodiesterase, which increases cyclic AMP levels. Higher cAMP leads to improved cholesterol transportation into the mitochondria of Leydig cells.[11] Cholesterol is essential for the production of testosterone.
  • Inhibits aromatase activity: Aromatase is an enzyme that turns testosterone into estradiol,[12] and the ingredients in Tesnor have been shown to slow its activity.[13,14] Inhibiting aromatase helps to increase testosterone synthesis in the Leydig cells.

An effective testosterone booster that stands out

MuscleTech Alpha Test Extreme

MuscleTech Alpha Test Extreme stands out with the powerful test-boosting ingredient Tesnor. Combining classic ingredients like fenugreek and ashwagandha with the novel Tesnor blend, it’s perfect for those seeking to naturally optimize their hormones with a clinically-studied formula.

MuscleTech Alpha Test Extreme is an impressive testosterone booster loaded with ingredients clinically shown to naturally increase testosterone production.

The 200 milligram dose of Tesnor used here has been clinically verified to improve free testosterone levels by 13.74%, and that’s great, because free testosterone is what we’re normally most interested in. Alpha Test Extreme also contains appropriate ingredients like fenugreek, maca extract, and boron citrate, which also help increase testosterone levels and/or libido.

We’re excited about Tesnor — beyond increasing gains in the gym, it can help fight the psychological, physical, and sexual effects of aging due to lower testosterone production.

If you’re looking for a safe, natural, and effective way to increase your testosterone synthesis, MuscleTech Alpha Test Extreme should be at the top of your list. Tesnor’s been all over our radar the past few months, and at some point, fans of the category need to give it a try.
