GHOST Protein Cereal x Trix is official. The fourth permanent flavor in the line brings the same 17g of protein per serving to fruity multicolored puffs.
GHOST's cereal shelf is getting a lot more colorful!
In collaboration with General Mills, GHOST is launching GHOST Protein Cereal x Trix, the fourth permanent flavor in its protein cereal lineup. It carries the same 17g of protein per 1¼-cup serving as the rest of the line, now in the fruity, multicolored puffs Trix has been known for since 1954.
It's been a while since our last full look at this product. We first covered GHOST Protein Cereal when it launched in April 2024 with Marshmallow and Peanut Butter flavors. Since then, Marshmallow has been renamed Lucky Charms, and GHOST Cinnamon Toast Crunch Protein Cereal arrived as a June 2025 birthday drop before both General Mills collabs hit retail nationwide in February 2026. Back then, we wondered aloud whether Trix might be next. Here it is.
National retail distribution doesn't start until January 2027, but GHOST is giving Legends a few chances to grab boxes early, starting with a limited drop on October 28, 2026, exclusively through GHOST's website and app. Check PricePlow for availability as Trix rolls out:

GHOST Protein Cereal x Trix Nutrition Facts
GHOST hasn't released the full Nutrition Facts panel yet, but the front of the box lists these numbers per 1¼-cup serving:

GHOST Protein Cereal packs 17g of whey protein per bowl, with Marshmallow (made with real Lucky Charms marshmallows) and Peanut Butter puffs.
- 170 calories
- 17g protein
- 3.5g saturated fat (18% DV)
- 230mg sodium (10% DV)
- 6g added sugars (12% DV)
Each box holds 9.2oz (260g). We'll fill in the rest, including total carbohydrates, fiber, and servings per container, once the full label is available.
Trix: Fruity Nostalgia With 17g Protein
General Mills launched Trix in 1954 as a sweetened, fruit-flavored spin on Kix. The original pieces were round puffs in three colors (orange, lemon yellow, and raspberry red), and the bowl pictured on GHOST's box shows round puffs in yellow, orange, and pinkish red. In other words, this one looks a lot like the original trio.
GHOST simply calls it fruit-flavored protein cereal, so we'll hold off on tasting notes until we've had a bowl. The box also calls out colors from natural sources, which lines up with General Mills' August 2026 announcement that it had removed artificial colors from all of its U.S. cereals, Trix included.
The side panel suggests three ways to eat it: a classic bowl, an on-the-go snack, or a "Legend Bowl", where you mix a scoop of GHOST Whey into your milk for extra protein.
GHOST Protein Cereal Ingredients Recap
GHOST hasn't published the Trix ingredient list yet, and the cereal's label has shifted a bit since our original GHOST Protein Cereal article in 2024. Using the current Lucky Charms flavor's label as a guide, here's what the base looks like:
- Protein Blend (17g protein per serving): Milk protein concentrate leads the label, followed by sodium caseinate and soy protein isolate, with smaller amounts of whey protein concentrate and nonfat dry milk. Milk protein naturally runs about 80% casein and 20% whey, so the dairy side of this blend leans slow-digesting. Soy protein isolate is a common base for crunchy protein puffs.
- Sweeteners: Sugar and dextrose share the load with allulose and sucralose. Allulose is a rare sugar that tastes similar to table sugar but doesn't count toward Total or Added Sugars on the Nutrition Facts panel, which helps protein cereals stay sweet while keeping added sugars in check.
- Oils: Canola and/or sunflower oil, palm oil, and palm kernel oil make up the fat. Palm and palm kernel oils are high in saturated fat, which likely accounts for most of the 3.5g listed on the Trix box.
The current flavors contain milk and soy. Trix's flavoring and color ingredients are the big unknowns, and we'll update this section once GHOST releases the full label.
Flavors Available
Trix joins Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Peanut Butter as the fourth permanent GHOST Protein Cereal flavor. Here's an up-to-date list of all GHOST Protein Cereal flavors:
Conclusion: Early Bowls Now, Store Shelves in January

GHOST went with a dessert classic for the fourth Protein Bar flavor. Mint Chocolate brings 20g protein and 2g sugar per two-bar pouch, made with General Mills like the rest of the lineup.
GHOST Protein Cereal x Trix is here to stay, but early access is limited. The first drop opens October 28, 2026, on GHOST's website and app, with national retail distribution following in January 2027.
Trix isn't the only General Mills collab arriving that day. The Mint Chocolate GHOST Protein Bar, the bar line's fourth permanent flavor, opens its own early-access window on October 28 too. For cereal fans, the pitch stays simple: the same 17g of protein per serving, now in one of the most recognizable flavors in the cereal aisle.
We'll update this article once the full Trix label lands. In the meantime, check PricePlow for prices and availability below, and sign up for GHOST news alerts so you're ready when the next drop opens.
