Core Nutritionals PUMP Pink Lemonade: 2023 Olympia Drop

As always, the Mr. Olympia event this year was the place to be. Brands from around the country gathered with the nation’s top athletes for the most elite bodybuilding competition around. In celebration of the festivities, some brands released some special edition products.

One such brand is Core Nutritionals – they already stunned the world with their Moose Tracks Protein Brownie launch, but that’s not all:

CORE also pre-launched a new flavor of Core PUMP in an announcement with their athlete Daraja Weidemoyer,^[1] and it’s a classic flavor that’s long overdue from the supplement’s flavorful menu.

Core PUMP Now in Pink Lemonade

Core has been having a lot of fun with flavors recently – they’ve been focused on their collaboration with Fun Sweets, the brand responsible for making cotton candy a household name. Out of this collaboration we got two new flavors for Core PUMP – Cherry Berry and Blue Raspberry. But it also came with a formula change for the shirt-ripping product: the inclusion of VasoDrive-AP, which we wrote about in our article, “Core PUMP Fun Sweets Cotton Candy: Why the Switch to VasoDrive-AP“.

The newest special edition flavor for Core PUMP is Pink Lemonade, a refreshing and tart flavor profile that works perfectly with a supplement meant to be taken before a workout.

Core PUMP – How It Works

Each 2 scoop (22.4g) serving of Core PUMP contains the following ingredients:

• L-citrulline (6000mg) is a nitric oxide booster by way of conversion to arginine. Nitric oxide leads to vasodilation, allowing more oxygen and nutrients to enter tissue via the bloodstream. As a result, citrulline can lead to benefits in aerobic and anaerobic performance.
• Beta alanine (3200mg) is a precursor to carnosine, which allows the body to clear lactic acid more efficiently. Beta alanine supplementation can therefore increase muscular endurance and time to exhaustion.
• Betaine nitrate (2500mg) is an osmolyte that helps cells maintain proper hydration, leading to increases in peak power during resistance training. The nitrate component also helps to boost nitric oxide production.

  HydroPrime (2000mg) is NNB Nutrition’s 65% glycerol powder, which is known for its stability. Glycerol helps keep the muscles well-hydrated by increasing water to tissues, helping keep them stocked with electrolytes and essential nutrients.

• Alpha GPC (600mg) is a precursor to choline which in turn produces acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is known as the learning neurotransmitter, and has been shown to improve mental function. In addition, Alpha GPC has been shown to increase peak power output during training.
• VasoDrive-AP (254mg) is a combination of isoleucine-proline-proline (IPP) and valine-proline-proline (VPP), proteins that naturally appear in the casein portion of milk protein. Together, they upregulate nitric oxide production and inhibit angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), thereby preventing vasoconstriction. Essentially: a pump supercharger.
• AstraGin (50mg) is the now-ubiquitous formula inclusion that helps to increase the absorption rates of the rest of the ingredients in Core PUMP.

Flavors that taste like the real thing

Mr. Olympia is always fun – especially when brands get into the spirit. We usually get some great SKUs out of events like this, and this year was no exception.

Core is known for their evidence-backed, scientific approach to formulation, but they’re also quite the impressive flavor masters. Pink Lemonade is a great flavor, but even so it can be difficult to really drown out the taste of the various ingredients in some of these products. Core does this exceptionally well – to the point where you might think you’re just drinking regular pink lemonade.
