Who doesn’t love Carrot Cake?!
Well, some people don’t… but some people really do. And for those who do, the supplement industry hasn’t been too kind to them. Limited to just a couple of protein bar flavors and perhaps a limited-edition launch here or there, there really isn’t much carrot cake flavored protein out there.
Doug Miller realized this, and decided he had had enough. So he did something about it with his latest two Core MRP flavors:
Core MRP now comes in S’Mores and Carrot Cake flavors!
You read that right – the meal replacement that marked the beginning of CORE Nutritionals, Core MRP, is now available in two new flavors: one expected (S’Mores) and one not-so-expected (Carrot Cake).
While S’Mores will likely appeal to a larger audience, there are plenty of incredible chocolate-based flavors in the MRP lineup to keep them happy. While Core MRP has Apple Crumb Cake and Blueberry Crumb Cake flavors, this Carrot Cake takes it to a new level. We hardly have carrot-flavored protein in the entire industry, and especially not in the meal replacement category — so that’s the one we’re zeroing in on today.
Our video review will be posted below, as well as a bit of info about Core MRP. Until then, sign up for our CORE Nutritionals news alerts on PricePlow:

What is Core MRP?
Core MRP is what we call a “full spectrum meal replacement protein”. As Doug Miller explained in Episode #050 of the PricePlow Podcast, this product has massive historical value — it was CORE Nutritionals’ first supplement! Doug wanted a meal replacement protein that wasn’t just loaded with cheap filler carbs like maltodextrin, and there wasn’t one out there…. So he made it himself.
Years later, Core MRP still crushes it, bringing you
- Balanced macros skewed towards lower-fat dieters
- A whole-foods driven vitamin and mineral blend
- Added digestive enzymes for better absorption
- Low-glycemic, slower-digesting carbohydrates
- Insanely incredible flavors
Details on Core MRP can be found in our article titled Core MRP: A Full-Spectrum Meal Replacement, but the quick story is that they’re using whole grain oat flour as the primary carb source, and a mixture of whey protein concentrate, milk protein isolate, and whey protein isolate as the protein source.
Coconut oil creamer adds some healthy MCT-rich fats to cream it up, and then comes the salt, thickeners, sweetener, and whole food blend to bring the vitamins. The DigeSEB digestive enzyme blend is a perfect addition, since we have all kinds of foods inside to help digest and need more than just a single digestive enzyme.
