C4 Sport Gets Cereal Killer: C4 Energy's Breakout Flavor Comes to Pre-Workout

C4 Sport Gets Cereal Killer: C4 Energy's Breakout Flavor Comes to Pre-Workout

The Halloween gag that killed off Grape Frost and Arctic Snow Cone is now a pre-workout. Cereal Killer joins C4 Sport, same 5th-gen formula with 200mg caffeine and an electrolyte base.

Nutrabolt is taking its most talked-about flavor out of the can and putting it in a tub. C4 Sport pre-workout now comes in Cereal Killer, the fruity cereal flavor that took over the C4 Energy lineup. It's available now at The Vitamin Shoppe, H-E-B, and Nutrabolt's own online store, and it arrives on Amazon on October 5, 2026.

If you missed the backstory, Cereal Killer launched in October 2025 as a tongue-in-cheek Halloween flavor of C4 Energy, backed by a crime-scene ad campaign claiming it would "kill off" other flavors. The joke turned out to be literal. Grape Frost and Arctic Snow Cone were retired, and Cereal Killer stuck around for good.

Now it's landing in the 5th-generation C4 Sport formula, Nutrabolt's athlete-focused pre-workout with 200mg caffeine, CarnoSyn® beta-alanine, and an electrolyte base, all NSF Certified for Sport. The formula is the same. The flavor is the news. Check prices and availability below, and sign up for C4 alerts while you're there:

Cereal Killer: From Breakfast Bowl to Shaker Cup

In can form, C4 describes Cereal Killer as "electric tartness fused with berry sweetness", built to taste like colorful cereal loops in cold milk. Our verdict on the energy drink was that a creamy, milky note sits under the fruit, and it works better than most orange cream or vanilla cream flavors. Nutrabolt is sending tubs our way, so we'll report back on how well that profile carries over to powder.

C4 Energy Cereal Killer Lands at 7-Eleven and Speedway Stores Nationwide

C4 Energy Cereal Killer just landed at 12,000+ 7-Eleven and Speedway stores nationwide. What started as a limited Halloween drop proved so popular it earned permanent status and massive retail expansion.

The flavor's track record is hard to argue with. After its Halloween run, Cereal Killer rolled out to more than 12,000 7-Eleven and Speedway stores. On Episode #222 of the PricePlow Podcast, Nutrabolt CEO Doss Cunningham admitted he was skeptical at first, but it became C4's highest-velocity SKU by a wide margin. PricePlow's own Mike still calls it his favorite flavor ever.

Mix one scoop with 6 to 8 fl. oz. of water and drink it 20 to 30 minutes before training. The beta-alanine may cause a harmless tingling sensation, which is normal.

C4 Sport Ingredients Recap

Cereal Killer uses the same formula we covered in depth in our C4 Sport article. Here's the quick version of what's in each scoop:

  • CarnoSyn® Beta-Alanine - 2g: Raises muscle carnosine to buffer acid buildup during sustained, intense efforts. Its benefits accumulate with consistent daily use.
  • L-Arginine - 2g: A nitric oxide precursor that supports blood flow, dosed for athletic performance rather than the heavy pumps that can leave you feeling tight on the field.
  • BetaPower® Betaine Anhydrous - 1.25g: Betaine (also called trimethylglycine) supports cellular hydration. Most performance research uses 2.5g, so serious lifters may want more elsewhere in their day.
  • Creatine Nitrate (as NO3-T®) - 1g: Supplies roughly 675mg of creatine and 325mg of nitrate, which supports nitric oxide through a different pathway than arginine. It's not a full daily creatine dose, so keep your regular creatine in the stack.
  • Taurine - 1g: Another cellular hydration ingredient, and a natural partner for caffeine.
  • Caffeine Anhydrous - 200mg: A solid single-scoop dose for focus and performance, with no need to double up.
  • Toothed Clubmoss Extract (std. 1% Huperzine A) - 5mg: Delivers about 50mcg of huperzine A, which slows the breakdown of acetylcholine to support focus.
  • Vitamins and Electrolytes: Methylated B vitamins (B6 as P-5-P, folate as 5-MTHF, and B12 as methylcobalamin) plus sodium, potassium, magnesium, and chloride for hydration support during sweaty sessions.

NSF Certified for Sport

C4 Sport is NSF Certified for Sport, which matters if you compete under drug testing. According to NSF, certification requires label content confirmation, a formula and label review, manufacturing facility and supplier inspections, and lot testing for 290 substances banned by major athletic organizations. NSF also says it's the only independent third-party certification program recognized by USADA, Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, and the Canadian Football League.

If you're tested, follow USADA's advice and match the lot number on your tub against NSF's database at nsfsport.com or in the NSF Certified for Sport app. Certification is tracked lot by lot, so it's worth a quick check on any new flavor.

The formula hasn't changed. It's the same 5th-gen C4 Sport built for athletes: 200mg caffeine, CarnoSyn® beta-alanine for endurance, arginine and creatine nitrate for blood flow, taurine and betaine for hydration, and an electrolyte base, with NSF Certified for Sport status for anyone who gets tested. It's a dependable daily pre-workout for people who need to move well, without an oversized pump formula weighing them down.
