Adaptogen Science Tasty ISO: Truly Clean Whey Isolate

Adaptogen Science Tasty ISO

Adaptogen Science is back with another superior tasting whey protein isolate protein powder titled Tasty ISO that also contains Clean Cream.

Adaptogen Science first jumped on our radar following a chance meeting with the brand and its founder Viktor Doria at the 2017 Olympia. Viktor also happens to be a world champion Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter, which brings a unique angle to his training and nutrition.

During our talks with the team from Adaptogen, we discussed several of the brands products and one that kept coming up over and over again was their Tasty ISO protein, which was described as “insanely delicious”, and of course packed full of protein.

Having tried the brand’s intra workout supplement, Intra Amino Sport (see our YouTube review here), we can state with certainty that the brand knows what they’re doing with flavoring when it comes to their products. So, we went looking into this Tasty ISO to see what it was all about.

Tasty ISO Ingredients

Adaptogen Science Tasty ISO Ingredients

Tasty ISO uses pure hydrolyzed whey protein for easy digestion and Clean Cream for a super creamy texture.

Tasty ISO is a 100% pure whey protein powder utilizing only hydrolyzed whey protein. Adaptogen Science has also included a cleaner, more natural alternative to the typical creamer powders added to proteins that you might not be familiar with.

  • Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate

Leading the way in Tasty ISO is cold processed, instantized Whey Protein Isolate, better known as Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate. This form of protein is highly bioavailable and contains 90-95% pure whey protein.

As you’re probably aware, whey protein contains all the essential amino acids (EAAs) and is particularly rich in the branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), making it one of the highest biological value protein options around. Isolates, especially hydrolyzed ones, are the fastest digesting proteins around, helping to infuse your muscles with amino acids in a hurry.[1,2]

There aren’t a ton of pure hydrolyzed isolates out there anymore, so that’s the first step in being a unique product. But now for the real shake-up:

  • Clean Cream

Rather than use the typical hydrogenated oil-laden artificial coffee creamer found in other protein powders, Tasty ISO includes Clean Cream to lend a creamier, more palate-pleasing texture to Tasty ISO.

    Compound Solutions Clean Cream

    A vegan-friendly clean protein creamer!

In case you’re not familiar with this relatively new ingredient, Clean Cream is a plant-based creamer alternative developed by Compound Solutions comprised of High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Acacia Gum, Brown Rice Syrup, Natural Flavors, Sunflower Lecithin, Silicon Dioxide, and D Alpha Tocopherols (Vitamin E).[3]

  • The Rest

Completing the ingredients list for Tasty ISO is a minimal collection of ingredients including natural and artificial flavors, potassium chloride, xanthan gum, Ace-K, and sucralose.

Flavors Available

Adaptogen Science Tasty ISO Car

Tasty ISO makes a great traveling companion for the gym so you can quickly refuel your body following intense training.

Currently, Tasty ISO is available in two flavors — Chocolate Truffle and Vanilla Sundae. We’ve tasted the Chocolate Truffle already (subscribe to our YouTube channel for our full review!) and can verify it’s delicious and provides a dark, rich chocolate flavor.

Even better, there’s not much of that nasty chemical aftertaste as you get sometimes with hydrolyzed whey products. Best tasting pure hydro out there? Hmmm…

Clean and Tasty – The Reviews will show it!

Adaptogen Science Tasty ISO is a cleaner alternative to your hydrolyzed whey needs.

The inclusion of Clean Cream makes it stand out from the droves of other isolates on the market, and if you’re particularly wary of hydrogenated oils and other “unclean” additives often found in protein, Tasty ISO is a must try.

So far, so good – Adaptogen Science is two for two in our flavor panels, and when you’re dealing with pure hydrolyzed whey, that means a lot.
