CORE Hydrate x Big League Chew Now Available at Dick's Sporting Goods Nationwide

You can stop ordering direct. CORE Hydrate x Big League Chew flavors are now on shelves at Dick's Sporting Goods.

Three things happen when adults find Big League Chew again: they buy way too much of it, put an insanely excessive amount in their mouths (just like childhood), and they start looking for anything else with that name on it. CORE Nutritionals has been counting on exactly that reaction since it launched the Hydrate x Big League Chew collab, and now the full five-flavor lineup is stocked at Dick's Sporting Goods locations across the country.

Not Your Standard "Bubble Gum" Hydration Flavors

That's a big deal for a collab that's mostly been a direct-to-consumer story until now. CORE Hydrate built its reputation as one of the more serious electrolyte formulas on the market, and pairing it with a bubble gum brand most of us haven't thought about since T-ball is the kind of nostalgia play that works because the formula underneath still holds up. We covered the original CORE Hydrate launch in depth back in 2022, and the electrolyte profile that made it stand out then is still doing the heavy lifting here.

Five flavors are in the rotation: Outta Here Original, Grand Slam Grape, Swingin' Sour Apple, Punch Out Pink Lemonade, and Big Rally Blue Raspberry. All five ship in the same stick pack format CORE Hydrate always has, just wearing Big League Chew's colors.

Let's recap what we're dealing with and explain the awesomeness of Dick's, but first, check availability here online too:

Who Is Dick's Sporting Goods? (For Supplement Bros Who Don't Know)

For readers who spend more time thinking about macros than sporting goods retail, here's a quick primer. Dick's Sporting Goods is the largest sporting goods retailer in the United States, and it didn't get there overnight. Richard "Dick" Stack opened the original store in 1948 at age 18, using a $300 loan from his grandmother to stock a bait-and-tackle shop in Binghamton, New York.

That single storefront has since grown into a Fortune 500 company with well over 800 DICK'S-branded locations nationwide, plus specialty banners like Golf Galaxy, Field & Stream, and Public Lands, and it recently added Foot Locker to the family as well. The company has traded on the NYSE under the ticker DKS since its 2002 IPO, and today it's run by president and CEO Lauren Hobart, with founder Dick Stack's son Edward Stack serving as executive chairman.

For a brand like CORE Nutritionals, landing shelf space here means showing up in several major strip plazas in the country, not just the specialty gym shops and online stores that usually carry sports nutrition. That's the kind of distribution many supplement brands spend years chasing.

Five Flavors, One Dugout of Nostalgia

Big League Chew has been the flavor of little league summers since the 1980s, and CORE leaned into that directly with the naming here.

  • Outta Here Original keeps things classic, built around the pink bubblegum flavor the whole brand is known for.
  • Grand Slam Grape takes the grape side of the lineup and turns it into a stick pack. This is probably our favorite flavor of the bunch.
  • Swingin' Sour Apple brings a tart, green apple edge for anyone who wants their electrolytes with a bite.
  • Punch Out Pink Lemonade goes lighter and more citrus-forward.
  • Big Rally Blue Raspberry rounds things out with the classic blue raspberry flavor that shows up in just about every nostalgia collab for a reason: it works.

Each stick pack is zero sugar and zero calories, so the nostalgia comes from the name and the flavor, not from a dessert-level ingredient panel.

Core Hydrate Ingredients Recap

We covered CORE Hydrate's full formula, ingredient by ingredient, in our original Hydrate article. Here's a closer look at what's inside every stick pack:

  • Vitamin C (250mg, 278% DV): Best known as an immune-support antioxidant, vitamin C also plays a direct role in hydration by helping skin and connective tissue hold onto water and by supporting collagen production. CORE dosed it well above what most people get from food alone, which matters since intense training raises the oxidative stress vitamin C helps counter.
  • Calcium (100mg, 8% DV): Sourced from a blend of calcium carbonate, calcium citrate, and Albion's dicalcium malate, this trio was chosen for better absorption than a single, cheaper source. Beyond bone health, calcium is directly involved in muscle contraction and nerve signaling, both in near-constant use during a workout.
  • Magnesium (139mg, 33% DV): CORE draws magnesium from several forms at once, including magnesium carbonate, magnesium citrate, Albion's TRAACS bisglycinate chelate, magnesium chloride, and a lysinate glycinate chelate, giving the body multiple absorption routes. Magnesium acts as a cofactor in hundreds of enzymatic reactions, and modern diets tend to fall short of it.
  • Zinc (3mg, 27% DV): This dose comes from Albion's zinc bisglycinate chelate, a highly bioavailable form compared to cheaper options like zinc oxide. Zinc supports immune function and cellular energy production, and it plays a supporting role in maintaining healthy testosterone levels as well.
  • Chloride (43mg, 2% DV): Chloride shows up here through magnesium chloride and works alongside sodium and potassium to help the body maintain fluid balance. It also supports normal stomach acid production, which plays a role in digestion and nutrient absorption after a meal or a post-workout shake.
  • Sodium (350mg, 15% DV): Provided as sodium citrate, this dose sits well above what most electrolyte drinks bother including, despite sodium being one of the electrolytes athletes lose the most of through sweat. It's essential for nerve conduction and muscle contraction, both of which directly affect performance during longer or harder training sessions.
  • Potassium (530mg, 11% DV): CORE sources potassium from potassium citrate, coconut water concentrate, and potassium glycinate chelate, adding up to one of the larger potassium doses in the hydration category. Potassium works opposite sodium to help regulate fluid balance and blood pressure, and most people fall short of recommended intake from diet alone.

The fact that we have more potassium than sodium here is a very big deal, and a reason why it's a top-rated hydration formula, given how many people are too low on potassium intake.

  • L-Taurine (1,000mg): Taurine is an osmolyte, meaning it helps pull water into cells rather than simply replacing fluid that's already been lost. It also has a longstanding reputation for supporting endurance and mental focus, which is why it shows up in everything from hydration formulas to energy drinks.
  • Coconut Water Concentrate (500mg): This ingredient supplies a natural source of potassium, sodium, and other trace electrolytes that occur together in coconut water. Adding a whole-food source alongside the isolated mineral salts elsewhere in the formula gives CORE Hydrate a broader electrolyte profile than a straightforward mineral blend alone.
  • ConcenTrace AC (100mg): This is a trace mineral complex, extracted from the mineral-rich waters of Utah's Great Salt Lake and standardized to deliver dozens of naturally occurring ionic trace minerals, including small amounts of lithium, boron, and selenium. Because it delivers minerals in ionic form, the body can absorb them without much extra processing, so CORE uses it here as a broad-spectrum trace mineral top-up alongside the electrolyte-specific ingredients above.

Worth noting that Senactiv and elevATP aren't in the Big League Chew formulas, although they were in the most recent Fun Sweets Hydrate formula. Besides that, it's the same electrolyte-forward approach CORE Hydrate has always taken, just dressed up for the Big League Chew crowd.

Now Easier to Find Than Ever

Until now, grabbing CORE Hydrate x Big League Chew meant ordering direct from CORE. With the largest sporting goods retailer in the country now carrying all five flavors nationwide, that's no longer the case, and the timing lines up well for anyone stocking up for fall sports and workouts.

CORE has made a habit of teaming up with nostalgic brands, including its Fun Sweets cotton candy collab, and Big League Chew fits right into that pattern. If retail availability was the thing holding you back from trying it, that excuse is gone.
