Legendary modern-day renaissance man Rich Piana wanted his followers to be in the top 5% of anything and everything they sought to be. Not just the top 5% of their world, but the top 5% of their competition. The upper echelon – the best version of themselves that they possibly can.

5% Nutrition: For The Best, Not The Rest

It’s Shake Time, and this time, it’s Peanut Butter Shake Time. Check out 5% Nutrition’s best Shake Time flavor yet (in our opinions)

Rich loved to help as many men and women with these qualities as he possibly could, which is why he founded 5% Nutrition.

The mission of 5% Nutrition is to create products that are of high enough purity and quality to support these high achievers, and propel them to even higher levels of performance, beyond what they even knew they were capable of.

Shake Time: A Protein That’s A Cut Above The Rest

It makes perfect sense that 5% Nutrition was the company to bring Shake Time to market.

Shake Time is a supplemental protein unlike the vast majority of competing brands – rather than being sourced from whey, casein, pea or soy, it’s actually derived from whole food animal proteins.

It consists mostly of beef protein, but also a bit of chicken and egg protein. And now, there’s a new Peanut Butter Shake Time flavor that’s absolutely tremendous!

We get into it below, but this is one that you’re not going to want to miss if you’re a peanut butter lover!

Why Shake Time?

5% Nutrition Shake Time We get into the full story in our main article titled 5% Nutrition Shake Time: Dairy-Free Protein Powder with Real Food.

The bioavailability of beef protein is very high, and not very allergenic, making it a great option for people with food tolerance issues. Before this new flavor, Shake Time was one of our favorite dairy-free protein shakes. Now, with this incredible new Peanut Butter flavor, it is our founder’s favorite dairy-free protein powder!

Even a lot of customers without diagnosed food tolerance issues have reported to us that Shake Time just seems to go down easier than, say, whey protein.

Specifically, Shake Time seems to be great for taking large doses of supplemental protein without the bloating and gas that typically accompanies the use of more conventionally sourced protein supplements.

Another advantage over whey is that these proteins won’t be as rapidly absorbed. They are slower digesting and longer lasting in their effects, like casein, but casein again has some issues with allergenicity in some athletes. If that’s you, then Shake Time is worth a try: it can give you the main advantage of casein without the pitfalls.

Beef also just has a great blend of amino acids – for one thing, it has all nine essential amino acids (EAAs), something that can’t be said for a lot of plant-derived protein powders.

The other thing we like about beef is that it minimizes or eliminates several food purity issues. For example, you can feed a cow all kinds of crap, but at the end of the day, the beef protein itself has not been directly sprayed with industrial pesticides like atrazine or glyphosate.

New Peanut Butter Flavor!

We’ve covered Shake Time before, but we have an exciting new announcement for this product:

Shake Time now has a Peanut Butter flavor!

5% Nutrition Shake Time

In our view, peanut butter is really the perfect flavor for this protein powder: combined with a little milk or a little sweetener it can take anyone back to childhood days of peanut butter sandwiches with milk and cookies.

This makes peanut butter flavors the ultimate comfort food protein flavors, and it works very very well with the texture of Shake Time. You can even consider mixing it up with a little dark chocolate powder for a delectably decadent workout recovery experience.

So far this flavor has gotten rave reviews from everyone we know who’s tried it – including several members of the PricePlow writing staff.

Peanut Butter not your thing? That’s OK, Rich’s crew still has other flavors for you:

Rich was right: the discipline, drive, and determination required to conquer oneself are rare qualities indeed.

When it comes to dairy-free proteins, it doesn’t have to be peas and rice. Shake Time does dairy-free better, and Peanut Butter is definitely our favorite flavor yet.
