Cinnadoodle Protein Bagels

Our second Dylan recipe puts a more healthful twist on a to-go breakfast staple, with the help of PEScience Select Protein

Bagels are a nice inexpensive convenience breakfast when you’re on the run in the morning, but what you save in money you pay for in carbs. And unless you’re lifting insanely hard, they’re normally too many carbs, plus not enough protein… until now, anyway!

This recipe uses standard flour. You can try experimenting with other more nutrition-dense flours, but it will alter the texture so you may then need to add more liquid.

Instructions
  1. Mix all dry ingredients and whisk together
  2. Add in the milk, oil and extract and mix together, it will come out thick and sticky
  3. Place the mixture into donut moulds 2/3 full, sprinkle the top of batter with the extra cinnamon
  4. Bake in an oven at 350 for 12-14 minutes

Note that you’ll need donut molds to bake these up, and as such they’ll come out a bit smaller than your standard bagel.
