Peanut Butter Pie ONE Bar

Oh Yeah ONE Bar Peanut Butter Pie Slice

One bite of the PB Pie flavored ONE bar and you’ll swear you were biting into an authentic homemade peanut butter pie!

Let’s get rolling with a basic description of what makes the Peanut Butter Pie bar a flavor-gasm. To put it into words doesn’t do justice to it’s flavor, aroma, and especially that texture, but we’ll do our very best.

The PB Pie One Bar really needs no description. Everyone as some point or another in their life has had a delicious peanut butter dessert, whether it was born in grandma’s kitchen or purchased from the freezer section. Homemade or store-bought they are downright delicious.

Peanut butter is a food that brings back fond memories of childhood PB sandwiches and milk and later in life served as the basis for homemade “gainer” shakes. It’s a ubiquitous flavor that connects the young and old like few other things can – nearly every protein bar out there has one.

That being said, the PB Pie ONE Bar NAILS the flavor to a “T”. It will bring you back to your fondest childhood memories of rich, delicious, peanut-buttery goodness!

Quick Review

No chocolate needed here! Taste is very good, but admittedly not our favorite because the Lemon Bar flavor is that good.

But once again, Oh Yeah! ONE Bar dominates when it comes to texture. This is where Quest better watch out!

So many other peanut butter flavored protein bars are dense, messy, gooey, or covered in chocolate to where you lose any and all peanut butter flavor. Here, One Bar’s is in the spotlight and we couldn’t be more please!

Peanut Butter Pie Macros

Oh Yeah ONE Bar Peanut Butter Pie Nutrition

The macros on the PB Pie bar are just a tad different than the rest of the line up, including an additional gram of protein!

Comparing the macros on Peanut Butter Pie flavor to the other bars in the ONE bar line up, you’ll notice that PB Pie is just a little bit better. Here’s a breakdown of the label:

  • Protein: 22g vs 21 for the others
  • Carbs: 23g vs 24g for the others
  • Fat: 8g (same as the others)
  • Calories: 220 vs 210 for the others

We’ll take that extra gram of protein – especially since this is one of our favorites!

Ingredients

The Peanut Butter Pie bar uses similar ingredients as the rest of the ONE bar line up, but there are a few subtle differences that go into the flavoring of this one. The two biggest differences with Peanut Butter Pie are the inclusion of, not surprisingly, Peanut Butter and Peanut Flour.

Peanut Flour

Peanut flour is a type of flour made from crushed up peanuts.[1,2] After the peanut is broken apart, it is then defatted, either fully or partially, depending on the quantity of fat that is removed. What’s left is a product that is high in protein and fiber, and low in fat.

The end result is a product that can be used in protein shakes, baked goods, pancakes, or even mixed with water to make your own peanut butter or dip! This is a great option for people who love to gorge on peanut butter, but can’t always afford the caloric damage that consuming full fat peanut butter entails.

This is one of the ingredients that separates ONE bar’s offering from so many other protein bars on the market. Most have “peanut butter flavoring” or “peanut oil” but rarely employ the use of peanut flour. This also helps increase the protein count of the ONE bar while keeping fat grams and calories in check!

If that’s not enough to entice you to go after the PB Pie bar, then consider this. Diets rich in peanuts and peanut flour have been shown to reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and certain markers of cardiovascular disease![3]

Reviewer Feedback

Grab a whole box of PB Pie so you can keep some in the car, in the office, and at the house so you’re never too far away from it’s heavenly taste!

Reviews from the community have been incredibly positive regarding both texture and flavor of the bar. Tasters have remarked that the bar has a rich peanut butter flavor and a rather enticing aroma without feeling gummy or overly dense like so many other peanut butter bars on the market.

Takeaway

If you’ve run the gamut of peanut butter flavor bars on the market and been constantly disappointed by all the bland or boring offerings, prepare to be amazed. OhYeah! serves up a refreshing twist on the traditional peanut butter flavored protein bar that will have you coming back again and again.

You’ll be whisked back to those childhood glory days of homemade peanut butter pie in grandma’s kitchen and screaming OhYeah! with every bite of this Peanut Butter Pie ONE Bar!
