Some brands focus on formulas, while others focus on flavors. Every once in a while, though, you get a brand that knocks them both out of the park, as we’ve seen from RAW Nutrition in the last few weeks. First, they dropped Signal, their proprietary testosterone-boosting supplement on Black Friday. It’s a novel blend of ingredients that are aimed at optimizing the all-important hormone that is responsible for endless bodily functions, including muscle growth.
Just a couple days ago, RAW also released a holiday-themed Gingerbread Itholate Protein flavor. It’s sweet, it’s got zing, and it’s the perfect addition to the festive gym goer’s duffel bag.
Thavage: Raspberry Lemonade
Now, it’s Thavage‘s turn for a new flavor. The Thavage Pre-Workout is a solid blend intended to give you the perfect amount of energy and intensity for those tough sets. If you’re looking for a deep-dive on the Thavage formula, check out our article titled: “Chris Bumstead’s CBUM Thavage Pre-Workout: A Pre Fit for Thavages“.
The new flavor is Raspberry Lemonade. While it’s not holiday-themed, it does have everything you’d want in a pre-workout flavor. It’s not heavy or overly sweet. It just makes for a nice, cool sipping experience.
We’re going to dive into a little summary on how RAW Thavage works, but first, let’s check the PricePlow for good RAW deals, and check out our video review of the new flavor:

RAW Thavage – How It Works
Each 2 scoop (26.3g) serving of RAW Thavage contains the following ingredients:
- L-citrulline (6,000mg) converts into arginine, which then converts into nitric oxide. As a result, vasodilation is increased, improving nutrient delivery and performance.
- Beta-alanine (3,200mg) helps to boost endurance, and is the source of the classic “tingling” sensation in pre-workouts.
- Betaine anhydrous (2,500mg), or trimethylglycine (TMG), is an ergogenic aid which helps energy production and recovery.
- Taurine (2,000mg) can bolster endurance, cellular hydration, and protection against free radicals.
- Agmatine sulfate (1,000mg) increases arginine in the bloodstream, as well as potentially providing cognitive benefits.
-
Caffeine anhydrous (260mg) speeds up fat-burning and increases energy levels.
- L-theanine (150mg) synergizes with caffeine to provide a more balanced energy.
- Di-caffeine malate (64mg) is a slower-releasing form of caffeine, which minimizes the chance of a crash.
- AstraGin (25mg) ads in absorption via increased gut permeability.
- Huperzine A (100mcg) prevents the breakdown of acetylcholine, also known as the learning neurotransmitter.

Authentic-tasting flavor
A lot of brands release flavors like raspberry lemonade. It’s not particularly unique. The difficulty is in making it taste authentic. It’s difficult, after all, to reasonably mask the taste of the ten different powders contained in the formula.
RAW is good at what they do, though. To the point where you would almost be unable to tell you are drinking a pre-workout instead of a nice, cold glass of freshly-squeezed lemonade.
