In Fall 2023, North America received a big treat: two new delicious flavors of MuscleTech‘s Nitro-Tech 100% Whey Gold protein powder in Churros and Dulce de Leche.
This isn’t a new phenomenon for MuscleTech – they’ve always been master flavorers. Take EuphoriQ’s unique and satisfying, Boogieman Punch flavor, for example. It just feels right. But why should America have all the fun? Now, our European readers are getting in on the action with three new protein flavor drops from MuscleTech.
MuscleTech Euro Flavor Drops!
These limited edition flavors launched on November 17th, and are available for purchase from Amazon UK, as well as other EU retailers:
- Nitro-Tech: White Chocolate Raspberry Ripple and Salted Caramel
- Nitro-Tech 100% Whey Gold: Salted Caramel
We’ll get into the differences between Nitro-Tech and Whey Gold, but first, let’s check the PricePlow news for good MuscleTech deals, and check out our video review of the new flavors:

MuscleTech Nitro-Tech vs. Nitro-Tech 100% Whey Gold
While Nitro-Tech and Nitro-Tech 100% Whey Gold share a lot of similarities, Nitro-Tech is positioned as the brand’s performance protein blend due to its inclusion of creatine. Meanwhile, Nitro-Tech 100% Whey Gold is more of the delicatessen product – it’s all about the flavor.
Let’s start with the commonalities. Both products contain a protein blend composed of whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate, and whey protein hydrolysate. Whey protein is the gold standard for protein supplementation due to its possession of all nine essential amino acids. It’s a complete, highly absorbable protein, making it ideal for padding your macro intake.
The result? Nitro-Tech 100% Whey Gold has 24 grams of protein, and Nitro-Tech has a whopping 30 grams of protein.
In addition to all the protein, the Nitro-Tech performance blend contains 3 grams of creatine, which is renowned for its ability to enhance strength and facilitate body recomposition. Instead of taking a separate creatine product, it’s baked right in. You can read about creatine in our article on MuscleTech Platinum 100% Creatine.
Nitro-Tech 100% Whey Gold doesn’t contain creatine, but it does have more of an eye toward flavoring, utilizing elegant flavor and texture systems like xanthan and guar gums for thickeners, and caramel powder for the new sea Salted Caramel taste.

Unique flavors from MuscleTech
We’re pretty bummed out that we Americans won’t have access to Salted Caramel and White Chocolate Raspberry Ripple. We suppose it’s only fair, though – after all, we got to hog all of the Churro-flavored protein this past month.
What we enjoy about MuscleTech is their willingness to try new and unique flavors. While salted caramel has experienced a rapid rise in popularity in recent years, there have been surprisingly few supplement companies to take a crack at it. And don’t even get us started on white chocolate raspberry ripple – that’s a recipe for addiction (in the best possible way).
