If you’ve been keeping tabs on our Core Nutritionals page, you’ll know that Doug Miller’s pride and joy has been on a tear in 2024, and it seems like they’re only just getting started. January brought us the Core Daily Health Pack and MRP Packs, and more recently they released the Ascension Pre-Workout as a part of their PRO series.
New formulas are awesome – especially from a brand that takes ingredient quality as seriously as Core does. However, there’s another thing that Core excels at: flavors. This time, Core is dropping a new flavor of Core PRO, their unique protein blend.
Caramel Candy Bar PROtein
Today, Core is launching a Caramel Candy Bar flavor of Core PRO. For years, Core PRO has stood out from the crowd of protein powders due to its unique time-released design in addition to delicious flavors. From Pistachio Ice Cream to Peanut Butter & Jelly, Core PRO’s flavors generally don’t fit into the “standard” bucket.
We’re going to dive into a little summary on how Core PRO works, but first, let’s check PricePlow for good Core deals, and check out our video review of the new flavor:

The Core PRO Blend
What makes Core PRO unique is its sustained-released dairy-derived protein blend, composed of the following:
- Cold-Processed Undenatured Whey Protein Concentrate – 15.63g (yields 12.5g protein)
- Cross-Flow Microfiltered Whey Protein Isolate – 6.94g (yields 6.25g protein)
- Milk Protein Isolate – 6.94g (yields 6.25g protein)
All told, each scoop of Core PRO packs a whopping 25 grams of protein. Both forms of whey protein digest quickly, whereas the milk protein contains casein, meaning it digests slower. As a result, your body has more time to properly digest and utilize all of the protein in Core PRO.
To aid in this digestive effort, Core has also included DigeSEB, an enzyme blend that contains 5 digestive enzymes, with lactase (for lactose breakdown) and protease (for protein breakdown) playing the most important roles.
For texture and smoothness, Core added in coconut oil creamer and a gum blend, making for a pleasurable drinking experience.

Unlike many brands, Core recognizes that protein isn’t just protein. With seven different protein products, Core has an option for every athlete’s unique circumstances. If you’re looking for a quick-digesting, pure protein powder, you’ll want to go with Core ISO. For meal replacement, Core’s MRP has you covered. If you’re wanting a well-balanced formula that utilizes not just whey, but also casein, Core PRO is a solid option.
No matter which product you choose, though, you’ll certainly be in for a sweet treat, because Core is on the highest level when it comes to flavoring.
