That Thing’s Real?! Ghost Pump Maple Bacon April Fools 2021 was a REALITY

Happy April Fools! This morning, Ghost teased its classic three-panel post on Instagram:

Ghost Bacon April Fools 2021

April Fools! Ghost is bringing home the bacon…

We’ve seen many supplement brands joke about bacon-flavored supplements over the years, so we weren’t surprised to see the following image:

Ghost Pump Maple Bacon Packets

Maple Bacon Ghost Pump?! Har har…

Maple Bacon flavored Ghost Pump?! Har har… that’d definitely be a funny April Fools joke if it hadn’t been made about 200 times already!

But guess what…

Got news for you, folks. We’ll let our good friend Keanu deliver it:

What is Ghost Pump

Ghost Pump is the brand’s legendary stimulant-free pre workout supplement, meant primarily for one thing: huge muscle-bound pumps when weight training. It feels good, and if you train hard enough, looks good too.

The formula was recently upgraded to “V2” status, with more citrulline and more nitrates (for more pumps, of course). We have a full breakdown on our main Ghost Pump article, but here’s the ingredient list:

Ghost Pump V2 Ingredients

The Ghost Pump V2 Ingredients. Funny enough, when Ghost Pump originally came out with 2.5g arginine nitrate, we asked “Is this the most nitrate we’ve ever seen in one serving?”… and here we are again, now at a 3g dose!

  • L-Citrulline – 6g

  • Arginine Nitrate (NO3-T) – 3g

  • Taurine – 2g

  • PureWay-C (Ascorbic Acid and Citrus Bioflavonoids) – 390mg

  • Pine Bark (Pinus pinaster) extract (95% Proanthocyanidins) – 200mg

  • Setria L-Glutathione – 200mg

  • AstraGin (Astragalus membranaceus and Panax notoginseng) Root extracts – 50mg

Now that’s how you get pumped up.

This is real, folks

This is really happening. Ghost is taking a tired old joke and actually turning it into a reality. Having seen this style of April Fools joke play out on social media numerous times — with brands not actually releasing the bacon flavor — you can consider this Dan and Ryan’s way of (once again) thumbing their noses at the industry.

Because once again, they do things that people never seriously considered doing. And it turns out, the flavor system actually works quite well with Ghost Pump. Who’d have figured!

Our only disappointment is that there won’t be full tubs… because we love us some maple bacon.
