Did You Do the Alpine Pew Pew Merica Energy Yet?

This one was simply too good to miss this year. Better late than never, we’re here to remind viewers that Alpine Pew Pew, the latest flavor of Merica Energy, is one of the best energy drink flavors on the entire market. The entire planet!

Merica Energy Alpine Pew Pew

BOOM! Merica Energy Alpine Pew Pew is a knock-down flavor.

As everyone knows, energy drinks have overtaken a large portion of the world the past two decades. But until very recently, the vast majority of them have all tasted awful (save for one certain white can) or had horrifically cheesy marketing.

Energy drinks used to suck. Most still do. But now you have legit options

But leave it to the sports nutrition sector of the supplement industry to save the day. Just as the market niche saved weight loss supplements and protein powders from the parasitic grips of TV doctors and MLM scams, sports supplement companies have brought energy drinks some fresh life with well-dosed formulas, great flavoring, and low-douchebaggery branding.

Apparently this was harder than anyone expected, because it took about 20 years for it to happen. And one of the key players in that crusade is Doug Miller and his Merica Labz spin-off, Merica Energy.

Meet the Alpine Pew Pew

This new Alpine Pew Pew can launched back in October, and brings crisp citrus flavoring alongside the Merica Energy formula we’ve grown to love. You can see our review below, and then we briefly recap the formula:

What is Alpine Pew Pew?

Pew Pew

Pew Pew

If you can’t tell from the can’s imagery and name, this is meant to resemble the flavor of a certain popular carbonated citrus soda that is often imitated and very rarely duplicated. We’ve tasted several attempts at cloning this flavor profile, and Alpine Pew Pew is remarkably wonderful – especially for an energy drink with no syrups used like the original.

And if you didn’t know, “pew pew” is the noise that certain weapons systems (like laser beams) make. This is of course, fitting given Merica Energy’s historically patriotic branding.

What’s in Merica Energy?

If this is your first time seeing this energy drink, then read our article titled ‘Merica Energy: The All-American Energy Drink Gets a ‘Restoration’. It was originally launched in spring of 2018, but recently had a “restoration” to its branding as discussed in the article above. This was a patriotic spin-off from the patriotic supplement brand, Merica Labz, owned and operated by patriotic founder of CORE Nutritionals, Doug Miller.

The cans feature a large BOOM on them, denoting the name Red, White, & BOOM. So you can call them BOOM Energy or Merica Energy – we find ourselves using the latter.

Either way, in case you haven’t noticed, the cans are patriotic, but not over-the-top or political — exactly the way it should be.

The Merica Energy Ingredients

The ‘Merica Energy Ingredients label

Each 16oz can brings the following active ingredients:

  • Acetyl L-Carnitine – 250 mg

  • Choline Bitartrate – 250 mg

  • Caffeine – 200 mg

The caffeine comes from 190 milligrams caffeine anhydrous and 50 milligrams guarana extract. There are also B vitamins and niacin, as shown on the label to the right.

Each can has ten calories, with three grams of carbohydrates coming from erythritol, a sugar alcohol used for sweetness alongside sucralose and acesulfame potassium.

Again, the details can be found in our main Merica Energy article.
