The Macronutrients
Quest has posted the official release video[4], and you can hear the following macros:
-
120 Calories
-
21g protein
-
5g carbs
-
1.5-2g fat
(1.5g for Sea Salt, 2g fat for BBQ and Cheddar & Sour Cream)
The Ingredients
Sea salt are made from the following:
Protein Blend (Milk Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Isolate), Dried Potatoes, Corn Starch, High Oleic Sunflower Oil. Contains less than 2% of the following: Sea Salt, Calcium Carbonate, Natural Flavors.
Note that there’s no soy and they’re gluten-free.
They’re also baked, never fried, in case you were worried about fat content.
So unlike other Quest products, the carbs are coming from dried potatoes and corn starch, whereas the protein is mainly milk protein isolate based (which typically has 80% casein) followed by whey protein isolate.
Looks very solid!
