Fresh Supps Pre: Juicy Melons & Kiwi Strawberry Flavors

When Fresh Supps was founded by Greg Helton last year, they hit the ground running. They began by releasing Fresh Pre-Workout — a great daily-driver formula with rock solid ingredients and delicious flavors, and Fresh Amino – an EAA formula that covers both your BCAAs and EAAs.

Fresh Supps Pre-Workout: Juicy Melons & Kiwi Strawberry

Fresh Supps Pre-Workout is now available for two partners in Australia and New Zealand: Juicy Melons & Kiwi Strawberry

We found the fledgling brand’s entrance so impressive, in fact, that they were named the PricePlow Rookie of the Year in our 2023 PricePlow Supplement Industry Awards.

Fresh Pre has all of the favorites to make a great pre-workout: nice big doses of citrulline, beta-alanine, betaine, and caffeine. They threw in some taurine, and tyrosine, as well as some electrolytes as well. It’s a very well-rounded formula that’s excellent for daily usage.

New Fresh Pre Flavors: Juicy Melons and Kiwi Strawberry

Earlier in 2024, Fresh released a new Pink Lemons flavor of Pre-Workout, a store exclusive for Nutrition Faktory, and now we’re getting another two flavors specifically for Fresh’s Australian and New Zealand partners (PhD Nutrition and Nutrition Systems), but now available in America too!

We loved the cool, citrus notes in last month’s release. This time, they’re releasing two new flavors: Juicy Melons and Kiwi Strawberry. It seems the warm seasons are upon us… even though winter is coming for those down under!

We’re going to dive into a little summary on how Fresh Pre works, but first, let’s check PricePlow for good Fresh deals, and check out our video review of the new flavors:

Fresh Pre – How It Works

The full breakdown is in our main Fresh Supps Pre-Workout article, but here’s a quick synopsis. Each 2-scoop (16 grams) serving of Fresh Pre contains the following ingredients

  • Fresh Supps Pre IngredientsCitrulline (6,000mg) enhances nitric oxide (NO) production, improving cardiovascular health and athletic performance by facilitating vasodilation, increasing blood flow, and reducing blood pressure. It’s generally preferred over arginine supplementation due to its better oral bioavailability, leading to higher arginine levels in the bloodstream and subsequently more efficient NO synthesis, which benefits gym performance, recovery, and reduces fatigue by lowering ammonia levels through increased blood levels of ornithine.
  • Beta-alanine (3,200mg) enhances endurance by increasing muscle carnosine levels, reducing lactic acid accumulation, and is favored for its safety, cost-effectiveness, and ability to extend exercise capacity in the 30-second to 10-minute intensity range, despite causing a harmless tingling sensation in some users.
  • Betaine (2,000mg), or trimethylglycine (TMG), can enhance athletic performance through unique mechanisms like acting as a potent methyl donor to support ATP production and improve cardiovascular health (via homocysteine reduction), while supporting hydration as an osmolyte. At large enough doses, it’s been shown to lead to gains in strength, endurance, power, and improved body composition.
  • Fresh Supps Pre-Workout: Juicy Melons & Kiwi StrawberryPink Himalayan salt (500mg) helps replenish sodium lost through sweat during intense workouts, supporting muscle function, performance, and recovery, despite misconceptions about sodium’s role in hypertension, with research indicating optimal cardiovascular health at a daily intake of 3 to 5 grams of sodium.
  • S7 (50mg) is a blend of seven botanical extracts, including green coffee bean and green tea, designed to support nitric oxide bioavailability thanks to its high antioxidant content. This then supports enhanced vascular response, reduced post-workout soreness, and improved recovery.
  • Taurine (1,000mg) enhances athletic endurance, cellular hydration, and mitochondrial function, acts as an antioxidant and osmolyte, and supports cognitive health by mimicking neurotransmitters and boosting dopamine production. This dose has been shown to work on its first use when measuring endurance.
  • L-tyrosine (500mg) enhances pre-workout formulations by supporting thyroid function for better athletic performance and body composition, acting as a precursor for crucial neurotransmitters that boost focus and motivation, and offering anti-stress benefits that outperform caffeine in maintaining alertness, especially during sleep deprivation.
  • Fresh Supps Pre-Workout Juicy Melons

According to Fresh founder Greg Helton, “The Juicy Melons are 🔥🍉”

Caffeine (300mg of 360mg total) boosts mood, focus, and energy, reduces fatigue by inhibiting adenosine, enhances metabolism, fat burning, and physical performance across strength, speed, power, and endurance, while also improving cognitive functions such as attention and reaction time.

  • CognatiQ (100mg), a coffee fruit extract known for increasing brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), enhances neurogenesis and neuroplasticity, improving memory formation and offering neuroprotection against various neurological diseases, with studies suggesting that combining it with exercise could amplify BDNF production significantly.
  • Vitashure caffeine (100mg at 60% strength, yielding 60mg of 360mg total) provides a slower release of caffeine that offers a smoother and more sustained energy curve, combining the immediate boost of traditional caffeine anhydrous with a gentler onset and more gradual decline, making it a strategic choice for prolonged energy without harsh effects or withdrawal.
  • AstraGin (50mg), a patented bioavailability enhancer, can ATP production in intestinal cells and may improve the absorption of nutrients and food from the digestive tract, theoretically increasing the effectiveness of other ingested ingredients and potentially enhancing long-term intestinal health.

All Fresh Pre flavors

Check out our up-to-date list of Fresh Pre flavors below – the list sure is growing for such a young brand:

Refreshing Flavors for a Hot Workout

    Fresh Supps Pre

Fresh Supps Pre-Workout is the tried-and-true, delicious tasting pre-workout from one of the industry’s freshest looking brands

It’s not winter anymore… at least not here in the Northern Hemisphere! It’s the sweaty season, and as a result, we need flavors that will help us feel hydrated and refreshed as we crank out our reps. To us, this means light, fruity flavors. Juicy Melons and Kiwi Strawberry are just what the doctor ordered.

Pre-workouts are important. Behind the basics like protein powder and creatine, pre-workouts are often the standard next line for athletic supplementation, meant to be taken before each workout. With such a high frequency of use, you want something that not only does the job physiologically, but is also pleasant to consume. If it doesn’t taste good – or tastes too artificial – you won’t be as motivated to take it, and therefore reap the benefits.

So far, Fresh Supps has knocked flavoring out of the park, almost to the same degree as they have with formulation.
