NutraBio Plant Protein Now in Vanilla Wafer and Chocolate Drizzle

In February of 2021, NutraBio re-branded and re-launched NutraBio Plant Protein, which came with new flavors and updated Natural Series labeling. Of those flavors, the German Chocolate Cake flavor simply blew us away — provided that you love coconut bits in your chocolate protein!

The other two flavors were Mochaccino Mousse Cake and Snickerdoodle Cookie — both incredible — but may have led you to wonder, “Where are the standard chocolate and vanilla flavors?!”

NutraBio Plant Protein now has two more flavors: Vanilla Wafer and Chocolate Drizzle!

Well they’re here now, and word is that they’re superb.

Chocolate Drizzle and Vanilla Wafer NutraBio Plant Protein are Out

The calories and macros are the same as the original launch’s Snickerdoodle Cookie variation (110 calories and 20 grams of protein per serving), but the flavors are a bit more “mainstream”, pleasing those who want a standard chocolate or vanilla shake. Don’t let that fool you into thinking they’re boring, though — NutraBio is on the top tier of protein flavoring, and these aren’t the pea protein shakes of decades past!

In addition, we now have a new size — 36 serving tubs alongside the 18 serving ones!

NutraBio Plant Protein Vanilla Chocolate

Get ready for another fantastic set of flavors

While it’s relatively easy to create milk protein supplements that have good single flavors (such as a standard chocolate or vanilla), it’s actually a bit more of a challenge to do it right in plant protein form. In addition, there are already plenty of standard chocolate and vanilla flavors on the market, so NutraBio released their original three with a bang.

Now that those are flourishing in the market, they’ve put the perfect finishing touches on Vanilla Wafer and Chocolate Drizzle flavors — but they’re still naturally sweetened and naturally flavored, with nothing artificial inside!

Most of those carbs come from a prebiotic fiber which is detailed in our original article titled NutraBio Plant Protein is Here (and One Flavor is Astonishing!) — so there’s only one active carb, sure to please any low-carb dieters in the crowd.

As always, the label is fully disclosed, with even the flavoring, sweeteners, and thickeners unveiled. This is no surprise to NutraBio customers, but if you’re new to the brand, then take some time to read The NutraBio Story so that you know how serious Mark Glazier and his team are. They also provide 3rd party lab tests for every lot, something the vast majority of brands simply don’t do.

    In our original NutraBio Plant Protein article, we concluded by saying “Hopefully more flavors are to come”. Our hope has now become a reality.

    We are still extremely bullish on the original German Chocolate Cake flavor. Extremely. However, we know that not everyone wants little coconut shreds in their protein powder. If you’re just down for some potent chocolate flavoring, then Chocolate Drizzle may be more your style.

    Will there be more flavors? We don’t know, but we hope so. The cutting edge brand’s other naturally-sweetened protein, NutraBio Grass-Fed Whey Isolate, had a knockout Ice Cream Cookie Dream Grass-Fed flavor that was literally better than the sucralose one. Could they possibly bring that to plant form? It’d be a challenge, but it’s one we hope they attempt.
