Ultimate T Released by USPLabs: Natural Testosterone!

Ultimate-T

Ultimate-T: USPLabs’ new natty test booster that is based upon a new ingredient with emerging research. Who’s up to log it?

It’s been a while since our fun launch of Pink Magic Platinum, which was USPLabs’ last natural testosterone booster sold only in GNC stores and never made it anywhere else.

That may have just been a “test release” for what USPLabs really had planned: Ultimate-T.

Labeled as Breakthrough Hormone Support and Testosterone Support with Cortisol Control, the big excitement is over a new key ingredient supported by emerging research — (Spilanthes Acmella).

The product is out, the reviews are soon to trickle in, and you can compare prices below:

What are the Ultimate T Ingredients?

Ultimate-T Ingredients

The Ultimate-T Ingredients / Supplement Facts Label

First, let’s note that the new key ingredient is Spilanthes Acmella Extract — this was also in Pink Magic Platinum.

However, that’s the third ingredient, as you can see in the label to the right, so let’s get to them one at a time:

  • Symplocos Racemosa Extract

Symplocos Racemosa is the botanical name of the Lodhra tree, an evergreen whose bark has traditionally been used to treat a variety of medical ailments from gastrointestinal disorders to uterine complications.

If this extract seems familiar, it’s because USPLabs also uses it in another one of their products, Compound 20. So what’s it doing here?

    Symplocos Racemosa

Remember Compound 20? It’s still around as a stim-free hardening/leaning agent, and features Symplocos Racemosa.

This extract has been shown to be a potent PDE (Phosphodiesterase) Inhibitor.[4,5,6] In case you need a refresher, PDEs are responsible for breaking down cyclic-AMP (cAMP) in the body. cAMP is a secondary messenger that beneficial affects numerous physiological functions such as fat loss, muscle mass, thyroid function, and steroidogenesis (hormone-production).

So, more cAMP in the body leads to greater fat loss, increased muscle mass, improved thyroid function and better steroidogenesis; all things we want in a muscle building supplement like Ultimate T.

Additionally, Symplocos Racemosa extract increases Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH).[7] This is another great benefit for men as LH boosts testosterone production in the body and FSH helps develop healthy sperm.

Finally this bark’s final trick, it exhibits hepatoprotective (liver-protecting) properties.[5] This will ensure optimal system functioning while you pounding endless amounts of supplements all aimed at making you bigger and badder!

  • Withania Somnifera Extract (KSM66)

    Ashwagandha significantly reduces cortisol

Taken from another blog post, it’s also been noted that Ashwagandha significantly reduces cortisol!

This ingredient may sound more familiar by its more common moniker in the industry, Ashwagandha. It is a plant of the nightshade family that has traditionally been used in Ayurvedic medicine. KSM-66 is a high quality Ashwagandha extract produced by Ixoreal that was in development for over 14 years.

Ashwagandha is an adaptogen, which means it helps you deal with anxiety. Additionally, it has been shown to improve semen quality by increasing serum levels of Testosterone and Luteinizing Hormone (LH), while reducing levels of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH).[6]

Aside from optimizing important anabolic hormones, ashwagandha helps reduce levels of cortisol in the body.[7] As we all know, cortisol is an incredibly catabolic hormone in the body and chronically elevated levels of it can suppress testosterone production and inhibit anabolism. So if adding muscle and keeping T levels is high on your priority list, keeping cortisol in check should be a top priority!

  • Spilanthes Acmella (Flower) Extract (SpilanTEST)

The new ingredient that USPLabs is truly hinging Ultimate-T’s success on:

Spilanthes Acmella has also been called Toothache Plant, thanks to it actually helping to relieve tooth aches in more historical uses!

But beyond that, it was also a known aphrodisiac.

The question is, can it raise testosterone in healthy humans? We don’t fully know yet, but the rat-based research looks very promising.

In fact, we even called it the make-it or break-it ingredient for Pink Magic Platinum, which reviewed well but was just too costly at GNC for too many people to get interested.

    Here are the benefits:

Boosted testosterone and luteinizing hormone (LH) (in rats)

Starting with the very good news, there was at least one study showing a great effect on testosterone and luteinizing hormone in mice, and that was after 28 days of usage.[1]

    The dosages needed

    Aphrodisiacs and Mice

Remember, hornier mice does NOT equal more testosterone. But spilanthes significantly boosted test in the mice too. If it works for us, we’re in for one fun run here.

The researchers provided doses of 50mg/kg bodyweight, 100mg/kg bodyweight, and 150mg/kg bodyweight. And the good news coming out of that? The increases were dose-dependent, which means that more worked better. Going further, the effects continued to grow over time!

Translating this to humans, the upper-end 150mg/kg dosages would translate to 1600mg/day for a 150lb male and 2200mg/day for a 200lb male — which isn’t an unheard of dose in a supplement.

Of course, remember that “hornier doesn’t equal more testosterone” — tribulus terrestris is proof of that — but there’s at least one promising study here.

    Sexuality

The rats also had other sexual benefits (basically in every category):

    • mount frequency
    • ejaculation
    • and “sexual consistency”

    were all improved.[1]

Same caveat goes as above. This doesn’t yet mean it’s going to translate into gains.

    Nitric oxide effects

Meanwhile, a lot of this may be coming from a very strong nitric oxide boost. The same study above showed that it was nearly half as strong as Viagra in this particular parameter!

    No toxicity found

Extremely important when discussing new herbs: there were no toxic effects or other kinds of negative issues found.

This was based upon a different study that used ten times the above dosages! They still failed to yield problems with the mice.[3]

    General Conclusion on Spilanthes

So this is a great start, but we need to see more human evidence before getting too excited. When there’s so few natural testosterone boosting ingredients that work in healthy males, many of us who don’t want to go into more “extremes” are willing to try these – especially since Pink Magic Platinum had no reported issues.

  • Eurycoma Longifolia Extract (Tongkat Ali)

Our good friend Longjack makes another appearance in a Testosterone-boosting supplement. We’ve gone into tons of detail about it here on our Tongkat Ali, which is its most popular name. Here are some highlights:

    Tongkat Ali Testosterone

One study measured cortisol also measured salivary testosterone. It went up significantly in longjack users (32 men, 31 women).[15]

Longjack comes from the Tongkat Ali plant native to South-Eastern Asian countries and is incredibly popular as an herbal supplement. It’s been used a lot in T-boosting supplements lately due to its ability to increase male virility and sexual prowess.[8]

If that’s not enough, it has increased free testosterone levels, total testosterone levels, and force production when used by both men AND women![9] Longjack also helps mitigate estrogen expression in the body and keeps this T-killing hormone in check.[10,11]

Finally, as we saw with our previous ingredient, Longjack helps reduce cortisol levels in the body.[12] What’s important to note here is that the group that participated in this study ALSO showed an increase in testosterone levels.

    What standardizations?

But, as discussed in our Tongkat Ali article linked above, this one really comes down to extract quality and what it’s standradized for, and we have no idea how this one has been extracted.

There you have it! Now, a small caveat… like nearly all testosterone boosters on the market Ultimate T uses a proprietary blend so we have no idea how much of each extract is used or the quality of the extract that was used in the formulation.

That being said, it appears that USPLabs has used several ingredients that show great promise as true testosterone boosters.
