Sup3r PCT Ingredients

The following ingredients come in an eight capsule serving and are meant to be split into two doses on opposite ends of the day.

  • Vitamin B6 – 150mg

    In this new formula, we say goodbye to DAA and hello to a ton of room for new test and libido enhancers!

    Let’s start with the vitamins and minerals, provided up top:

    Prolactin is an annoying part of coming off an anabolic cycle. Many steroids are progestins, which are compounds that could be processed into prolactin in a process called “testosterone-induced hyperprolactinaemia.”[1] Elevated levels of prolactin suppress testosterone production, so we got to regulate our prolactin levels coming off of a cycle. Vitamin B6 is a well-tolerated way of doing so. A dose this massive should help keep your prolactin levels in check[2,3] – especially when paired with the mucuna pruriens below.

  • Magnesium – 450mg (107% DV)

    Magnesium takes up a ton of space in capsule products, but 450mg is right on the nose of the dose we’d like to see. Magnesium is here for its general health benefits that may increase your testosterone. It’s often used as a sleep optimizer, as research shows that optimal levels of magnesium in the blood help sleep onset, sleep duration, and sleep effectiveness.[4-5] If coming off a cycle has disrupted your sleep cycle, then magnesium will help boost your testosterone by improving your sleep habits.[6]

    This magnesium comes from magnesium oxide, which unfortunately isn’t the most well-absorbed form, but it will fit without jacking things up to twelve capsules! Between this (which provides 107% recommended daily value) and your diet, you should be good to go.

  • Zinc – 35mg (318.5% DV)

    Zinc can be a miracle for your hormonal profile if your diet lacks proper zinc sources. Those deficient in zinc deal with less testosterone, less immune function, and less libido.[7] Since most of us are indeed deficient in zinc, supplementation is a good idea. In addition, studies link the mineral’s supplementation to increased plasma levels of IGF-1.[8]

    Prolactin Dopamine

    The zinc provided here comes as zinc aspartate, which is one of the forms used in ZMA formulas.

  • Fadogia Agrestis – 1200mg

    Fadogia is a shrub found in Africa that is traditionally used as an aphrodisiac. Studies in animal models show that Fadogia supplementation improves libido, testosterone, and time to ejaculation.[10] The test-boosting capabilities of Fadogia are likely linked to its saponin content, as saponins are well-known for increasing the amount of luteinizing hormone. Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and testosterone are somewhat positively correlated, so a boost in one could mean a boost in the other![10-11]

  • Bulbine Natalensis – 700mg

    Bulbine is yet another herb that has centuries of anecdotal evidence supporting its use as an aphrodisiac. Clinical studies show that this use has been effective, as bulbine may improve serum testosterone levels, serum follicle-stimulating hormone levels, luteinizing hormone levels, and even testicle size.[12,13]

    If you aren’t sold on this ingredient yet, it’ll help you last longer in bed,[14] which helps with some of the ‘issues’ that guys coming off cycle deal with. Boom!

  • Eucheuma Cottonii 10:1 Extract – 600mg

    Eucheuma cottonii is seaweed rich in polyphenols. In multiple animal trials, E. cottonii has been shown to inhibit tumor growth by modulating the activity of enzymes that contribute to tumor development.[15] While you may scratch your head about its inclusion in a PCT, tumor suppression suggests that Eucheuma cottoni works as a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) — similar to tamoxifen! Tamoxifen is a widely used PCT ingredient that may cause liver toxicity. So while it may not be as potent as this pharmaceutical, we’re going to do our best to protect the liver, which NAC below will also help with.

  • Horny Goat Weed Extract – 500mg

    Horny Goat Weed, besides having our favorite herbal name of all time, is a potent phosphodiesterase inhibitor. Working through inhibition of PDE-5, expect Horny Goat Weed to improve your erectile function by increasing your body’s levels of nNOS and iNOS. Horny Goat Weed also has light evidence suggesting that it could help improve testosterone levels, but you’re more likely to experience the boner-boosting properties.[17]

  • Mucuna Pruriens std to 99% L-Dopa – 300mg

    L-DOPA Dopamine

    L-DOPA first raises plasma L-DOPA levels… and then comes the dopamine burst! This competes with prolactin, which is why we’re interested in it here.

    Mucuna pruriens is the second way that SUP3R keeps your prolactin levels in check. Too much prolactin can lead to gyno or even lactation, so we’ll take every prolactin modulating ingredient we can get! While Mucuna also reduces cortisol and perceived stress, it’s here due to the study performed in vivo showed that it may also reduce those prolactin levels.[18,19] In addition, a separate study noted an increase in serum testosterone levels, LH, and sperm count post-mucuna pruriens supplementation.[20] All great auxiliary benefits, but we’re here for the anti-prolactin play.

    Mucuna suffers from the capsule formulation that powers SUP3R as the dose is lower than we’d like to see. The ideal dose is higher than 300mg, but you’ll still likely get benefit out of this powerhouse herb.

  • Trans-Resveratrol 50% – 200mg

    If you’ve ever dealt with your mom talking about how amazing red wine is for you, you may already know about trans-resveratrol. Trans-resveratrol is a very potent polyphenol-rich compound that improves cardiac function and pushes cholesterol ratios in a positive direction. In addition, trans-resveratrol may exhibit anti-aromatase activity.[21-23] By inhibiting aromatase, T-R helps you keep your testosterone levels nice and high by preventing the conversion of your testosterone into estrogen.

  • PrimaVie Shilajit – 200mg

    What’s your story? It looks like Olympus Labs is going to be refreshing their message, focusing on you.

    A big change from the old formula is the removal of D-Aspartic Acid, which took up a massive amount of space in the capsules. In its place, Olympus Labs included a full clinical dose of Shilajit. Shilajit is one of our favorite testosterone boosters for a myriad of reasons. It comes from Ayurvedic tradition, the same tradition that brought us amazing herbs like Ashwagandha. For the lifters out there, Shilajit improves muscle pliability and overall exercise recovery.[24] Of particular interest to those coming off cycle is that Shilajit has extensive research showing it increases testosterone secretion.[25]

    In addition, it may act with the Bioperine that rounds out the original formula. Shilajit improves the bioavailability of compounds it’s stacked with.[26-27] A change like this is a positive direction for the industry, as Shilajit has held up to research scrutiny much better than DAA ever has. We only pray that other companies follow in Olympus’ stead!

  • Elimistane Luteolin – 100mg

    We also recently covered the estrogen-controlling Elim1nate, which has only two ingredients and may stack very well for dieters to keep cortisol even lower!

    Elimistane is a trademarked variation of Luteolin, a flavonoid you can find in plants. We recently covered it in our Olympus Labs Elim1nate blog post, and learned that Luteolin has substantial research backing showing it may act as an aromatase inhibitor. Since aromatase converts testosterone into other hormones, blocking its activity leads to heightened testosterone levels.[28] Besides being an AI, Luteolin provides a ton of general health benefits. Luteolin can help balance plasma cholesterol levels by lowering the amount of “bad” cholesterol (LDLs) while creating more good cholesterol (HDLs). HDLs remove fat deposits from arteries, which can decrease atherosclerosis risk.[29]

    Luteolin also acts as a PDE-5 inhibitor, just like Horny Goat Weed.[30] Cells use PDE-5 to break down cAMP, an essential compound for neuronal communication and energy production. By inhibiting PDE-5, we’ll have more cAMP for our cells to use, and this should help with focus, cognitive functioning, and even long-term memory formation.[31]

    We’re not even done with Luteolin benefits yet! By increasing cAMP levels, it promotes the oxidation of fatty acids, increases BMR, and may even increase testosterone levels. The final benefit we’ll discuss for brevity’s sake is Luteolin’s activity as an atrogin-1 protein inhibitor. By blocking atrogin-1, Luteolin helps reduce muscular atrophy.[32]

    Long story short — this may be the natural aromatase inhibitor everyone’s been looking for. It’s not as strong as a pharmaceutical, but it looks amazingly powerful, and we’re surprised the market has ignored it this long.

  • Quercetin – 60mg


    Quercetin is readily found in grapes, onions, and many other vegetables.

    After the marathon of beneficial ingredients, we round out the formula with a general health ingredient that we never say no to. Quercetin helps the body combat free radicals, and exhibits powerful antioxidant properties in the body and can help regulate estrogen activity in the body.

    Recent research has shown that Quercetin may act as a mild testosterone booster via inhibition of UGT2B17, an enzyme that breaks down testosterone.[33]

    Quercetin has even been shown to prevent testicular damage, thus preventing a decline in testosterone levels.

  • N-Acetyl Cysteine- 150mg

    While this is out of order with the label, it made sense for us to pair the antioxidant ingredients together. NAC, short for N-Acetyl Cysteine, is the primary substrate in the body for the powerhouse antioxidant glutathione. Without NAC, you likely aren’t producing enough glutathione. But by supplementing with NAC, you’re helping the body produce more glutathione… which in terms help combat free radical damage.[34]

  • BioPerine – 5mg

    As mentioned, BioPerine is here to improve the bioavailability of the other ingredients.[35] It’s standardized for 95% piperine, the pungent active ingredient in black pepper.

Wow, now that’s a label. When you’re not packing 3.1g D-Aspartic Acid into ten capsules, you actually have some room to add a ton of stuff. And if you really care to, you can always add DAA back in yourself (see the link above).
