NutraBio Caff Plus: A Smoother-Sailing Energy Pill

NutraBio CAFF Plus

NutraBio CAFF Plus is a simple and smooth energy pill with a nice dose of L-Theanine (200mg) and two sources of caffeine totaling 150mg worth

What better news to hear than a new product coming from our favorite fully transparent powerhouse company, NutraBio! Right after dropping fresh flavors for their aminos (Strawberry Lemon Bomb is indeed the bomb) and a brand new whey protein isolate flavor in Bourbon Banana Nut, they’re are back with an entirely new product.

Meet Caff Plus: A New Spin on Smooth Energy

In mid April 2019, NutraBio released Caff Plus, a smooth caffeine and theanine formula for energy and focus.

With Caff Plus, the idea is simple: clean, jitter-free energy and focus without a crash.

Keeping the formula uncomplicated is where the magic lies. We have two forms of trademarked caffeine plus a nice dose of TheaPure trademarked l-theanine as well. With a proper combination of the three, NutraBio has given us the perfect way to make sure you stay energized and focused throughout the day, no matter when you need it.

The label and research behind the Theanine + Caffeine synergy is below, but first, check the deals on PricePlow and sign up for our NutraBio news alerts, since you never know when a new product, flavor, sample, or giveaway is going to drop:

NutraBio Pure Caff Ingredients

Two forms of caffeine yielding 150mg total, and trademarked L-theanine at 200mg. It doesn’t get much smoother than this:

  • L-Theanine (200mg)

    NutraBio Caff Plus Ingredients

This is one of the more simple multi-ingredient formulas you’ll run into from NutraBio, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less of a great idea!

First up is L-Theanine, trademarked as TheaPure, at 200mg. An amino acid analogue found in tea leaves, theanine is most well known for its potent relaxation and anti-anxiety properties. It helps the body to produce GABA, and in doing so, also enhances the cognitive benefits of caffeine.[1,2] Since that’s exactly what NutraBio’s pairing it with here, you’re sure to feel some synergy between the two, which should give you a nice mental boost without the jitters.

We’re very interested in this dosage, which is bringing the theanine stronger than the caffeine. For preworkout purposes, we always talk about having more stimulants like caffeine than theanine, but this is a bit of a different target. For those looking for cleaner energy that’s slanted towards focus and cognition support, a little more theanine than caffeine may be a better route here.

  • Infinergy DiCaffeine Malate (100mg)

    NutraBio Caff Plus Energy

Energy and Focus but no crash and no jitters!

The first of our two caffeine sources comes as dicaffeine malate trademarked as Infinergy. The difference between straight caffeine anhydrous and Infinergy is that here, we have caffeine molecules bound to malic acid (hence the malate), which makes the caffeine take longer to actually kick in. With the bit of extra work your body needs to do to break that bond down, you get a longer-lasting energy curve and less crash. You still get the stimulant properties of caffeine, but it will be a much smoother ride than you would typically expect, especially paired with the theanine.

Dicaffeine malate is about 73-75% caffeine by mass, so this yields about 75mg of actual caffeine per serving.

  • PurCaf Organic Caffeine (79mg)

    No Jitters No Crash

No Jitters, No Crash, Just Energy and Focus!

Last, we have PurCaf, an organic caffeine extract from green coffee beans that is 95% pure, giving us another 75mg. This provides you with all of the usual benefits of caffeine, only now you know your caffeine isn’t GMO and comes from organically raised coffee beans.

Anecdotally, it also provides a smoother energy hit than you would get from the synthetic caffeine anhydrous version. In addition, PurCaf boasts some other benefits over the regular, synthetic caffeine anhydrous, and they come from the other 5% of the ingredient, which is mostly chlorogenic acids. Chlorogenic acids are potent antioxidants in the body, which may help protect vascular endothelial cells, so this choice of caffeine seems to be a great fit for CaffPlus.

Easy energy and focus. What’s there not to like?

Stack with Alpha EAA and you’re off to the races!

With a short and simple, but effective list of ingredients, PureCaff is lined up to be yet another great product by the masterminds over at NutraBio. Using only premium and trademarked ingredients, Mark Glazier and team put together a capsule formula that will serve as an amazing afternoon pickup for those that need a jolt of energy partway through their day, but also won’t give users a terrible crash after using it.

For a simple workout focus stack, we’d tack this one onto Alpha EAA and be off to the races!

We love seeing the new things NutraBio has been putting out recently, and this is certainly no exception.
