2021: More Mango, More Pumps, and More Options

Ghost Legend Maxx Chewning Mango Margarita 2021

It’s baaaaack! Ghost Legend x Maxx Chewning Mango Margarita 2021 is here!

Mango Margarita was the original Ghost x Maxx flavor collab we’ve had since 2018, but this year there’s more. The 2021 launch brings us four different variations:

  • Mango Margarita Ghost Legend (you are here)
  • Sour Pink Lemonade Ghost Legend (Same formula as the one described on this page)
  • Maxx Chewning Ghost Pump (came in both Sour Pink Lemonade and Mango Margarita)

While Maxx’s Ghost Pump flavors use the same formula as the Ghost Pump V2 that launched earlier this year, Maxx’s Ghost Legend does have some variations.

The details (and some videos scrolling down memory lane) are covered below, but first, sign up for our Ghost news alerts and check to see if it’s available before it’s too late, since these are limited-edition runs!

    • Neurofactor Coffee (Coffea Arabica) Fruit Extract – 100mg

    • Theobromine – 50mg

    • AstraGin – 50mg

The details about most of these ingredients are in our main Ghost Legend article, but below we detail the changes:

Maxx Chewning’s Ghost Legend gets extra pumps

Christian Guzman always gets extra energy in his collab formulas, but what does Maxx get? More pumps – in the form of Vasodrive-AP. They’ve also added NeuroFactor for more focus, and removed alpha yohimbine and Senactiv.

What’s Vasodrive-AP?!

Vasodrive-AP is a proprietary pump ingredient derived from casein (yes, as in the protein), but they extract it for a couple of unique tripeptides in Valyl-Prolyl-Proline (VPP) and Isoleucyl-Prolyl-Proline (IPP).

Ghost Legend Maxx Chewning Mango Margarita 2021 Changes

The changes are circled on the left and described on this page

What do they do?

Long story short is that these ingredients can inhibit angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE). ACE causes vasoconstriction, which then reduces blood flow (and limits Maxx’s ‘veininess’). With that reduced blood flow comes reduced nutrient and oxygen delivery, ultimately turning your performance down.

So what do we do? We reduce the reducer! Limit ACE a bit with Vasodrive-AP’s ingredients, and shapow — you’ve just opened up another pathway to get Maxx-level veins. This helps lower blood pressure,[1-3] which is good when you’re taking a stim-based pre workout.

And if you’re lactose intolerant or afraid of casein, no need to worry — this is just 254 milligrams, and Vasodrive-AP has less than 0.05% lactose.

In Max’s own words

Below is what Maxx said in his original launch announcement from 2018:

The container – we went with a very unique look. Lots of vibrant colors, lots of just.. “poppin-ness”… that’s not really a word!

With my pre workout, guys, you’re going to get three things:

  1. One: You’re going to get a fantastic unique flavor that’s just going to take you to a tropical paradise.
  2. Two: We put an additive in there to add a little bit more pump. So Christian’s pre workout – he wanted a bit more caffeine – and for mine… the caffeine thing’s already been done, and I think what meshes well with me is that everyone says I’m really veiny at all times, so you put a pump in there so you can be just like Maxxy.. except you’d actually have big sized legs!
  3. And the third thing that you’d get which is probably the sickest of them all is that you get my face on the container! Yeah! They only put the best looking athletes on the containers ;)

So I’m super stoked about this, you guys are going to absolutely love it, it will be available in limited quantities in a few weeks. Let’s go find some hot chicken.

Finally, with NeuroFactor, you get a coffee fruit extract that’s been demonstrated to increase BDNF, or Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor,[5] which can boost learning and memory and lead to better focus. We generally enjoy the way this ingredient feels, and it’s less “controversial” than the alpha yohimbine it replaces, although we definitely do miss Senactiv from this formula.
