Ready Box Review

Marketed towards youth athletes, which makes the most sense, but anyone who wants some clean protein should check it out below!

How the Ready Box Works

When you go to ComeReady.com, you’ll see six different variations described below. You first select which monthly box you’re interested in receiving. After that, you’re given payment plans: month-to-month or 3-month-prepay. When using the 3-month-prepay, you save even more money.

You then choose your flavors, and then you’re off to the payment page (don’t forget the PRICEPLOW20 coupon!)

Once you check out, you’ll get an email confirmation so that you can log in and easily change your preferences and flavors if need be.

What are the Come Ready Products?

Before getting into the six offers, it’s best to quickly understand the products offered:

  • Come Ready Bars

Come Ready Nutrition’s flagship product, Come Ready Bars are your whey protein based bars that contain either 15g protein in the snack size, or 24g protein in the large size.

    Come Ready Bars

Come Ready Bars are the flagship of the line – and are meant for crazy active athletes, not dieters!

They have whey protein isolate first, which is important to those who are lactose sensitive, but they do contain some milk protein concentrate or whey protein concentrate, which should not be considered for the most lactose intolerant (see the CLEAN Bars next if that is the case for you).

On the macros: for active athletes, not dieters!

Aside from 24g protein in the large bar, you’ll get about 33g of carbs, which is 15g sugar. While this isn’t the cleanest bar — it’s not meant to be — it’s designed for very active athletes who need a lot of calories, not bodybuilders who are dieting.

And on the note of calories, you’ll see 320-340 calories, depending on the flavor, and 9-13g fat.

The taste is reported to be phenomenal – which is to be expected at 300+ calories!

  • Come Ready Clean Bars

Those looking for a lower number of calories, more natural and non-GMO-based ingredients, and a lactose-free option should check out the Come Ready CLEAN Bars.

    Each bar contains the following:

    • 200 calories
    • 15g protein
    • 23g carbs (7g fiber, 11g sugar)
    • 7g fat

And it uses far more natural ingredients, such as chicory root fiber as the main “combining” agent.

    Come Ready Clean Bars

Come Ready Clean Bars are gluten-free, made from non-GMO ingredients, and are typically lower in calories

No concerns on a soy bar per day

The protein is primarily derived from soy protein isolate, which, despite its stigma, is very useful and tastes great. We do not have any concern with ~25g of soy protein per day.[1,2,3] Note that the studies referenced focus on soy isolate (which is in here, not soy concentrate).

But let us warn you – overconsumption of soy — especially the concentrate form — at higher levels could be a concern. But a bar per day is not.

  • Come Ready Clean Protein Powder (new!)

    Come Ready Clean Protein Powder

Come Ready Nutrition’s CLEAN Protein Powder is going to turn heads if they can get the word out!

This is Come Ready’s newest product, and it may quite possibly become the most popular one as well!

Continuing on the clean trend of natural products, this is about as no-nonsense natural as it gets. The protein blend uses whey protein isolate first, followed by whey concentrate – so this is good for lactose sensitive, but not the best for someone completely lactose intolerant.

But here’s the best part: you then get cocoa powder (for chocolate), natural flavoring, and it’s sweetened by a combination of stevia, monk fruit, and salt.

So there’s just seven ingredients for chocolate, and six ingredients for vanilla. It doesn’t get too much cleaner than that, and this has become important to those who are tired of sucralose sweeteners or allergic to Ace-K (acesulfame potassium).

Now that we know the products, how can we combine them?

What are Ready Boxes offered?

Six different options gives you a lot of flexibility:

Ready Box Starter Fuel Package

While this is the intro box, it’s still not the one we’d get…. see below…

  1. Starter Fuel

    • 12 Come Ready Snack Bars
    • 12 Clean Snack Bars
  2. Power Fuel

    • 12 Come Ready Snack Bars
    • 12 Clean Snack Bars
    • 12 Clean Crunch Bars (full-size Clean Bars)
  3. Muscle

    • 2lbs CLEAN Protein Powder
    • 12 Come Ready Bars (full-size)
    • 12 Come Ready Snack Bars
  4. Fuel + Muscle

    Ready Box - Muscle

As busy athletes who want the calories, this is the package we’d get for a high-intensity male athlete

    • 2lbs CLEAN Protein Powder
    • 12 Come Ready Bars (full-size)
    • 24 Come Ready Snack Bars
    • 12 Clean Crunch Bars (full-size)
  5. CLEAN Fuel

    • 12 Clean Snack Bars
    • 12 Clean Crunch Bars (full-size)
  6. CLEAN Compete

    • 2lbs CLEAN Protein Powder (2lb Container)
    • 12 Clean Snack Bars
    • 12 Clean Crunch Bars (full-size)

So basically, every variation you can imagine. If you want to keep it free of artificial flavors and sweeteners, you can choose one of the CLEAN routes. But if you just want to go full-on protein mode, you choose one of the Muscle / Performance / Fuel routes.

Takeaway: Where we see this working

Come Ready Clean Fuel Box

We can see the Come Ready Clean Fuel Box being a hit with the females who don’t need nor want 350 calories in a bar!

Ultimately, the three-month package looks like a great seasonal deal for sports athletes. For instance, we can foresee parents who don’t want to fuddle around at the local store buying a nice three month package for their high schooler just before their season starts. Long enough to get all of the benefits at a great price, and then you can re-evaluate for the next sports season.

We love that there’s variation here, as well – Come Ready has enough flavors to keep things interesting for at least 3-6 months. We love that their bars aren’t the same Quest Bar knock-offs — there is nothing wrong with a 360 calorie protein bar when you’re sluggin it away at two-a-days and literally need 4000+ calories in order to not lose weight!!

We’re excited to see if they’ll continue to expand on the line, since the natural protein powder could be a great win. However, Come Ready may eventually need more than just vanilla and chocolate to keep everyone satisfied. Either way, targeted at athletes, this one makes sense, even if only for part of the year.
