After sitting through drawling lectures all day, talking to professors, and running errands, I was itching to get into the gym and train. I was on a time crunch because I had to work last night as well. I wasn’t able to capture in new footage for this session.

I ran into the gym, dressed down and sped through my warm ups.

Warm Ups

As is traditional we did our laying hamstring curls with bands (green+a mini) supersetted with leg extensions, (3-4 sets 10-15 reps with no break)

Dead Lift Tuesday

Jeff programmed my workout yesterday and it went a little something like this:

Sumo Dead Lifts

We warmed up by doing 3-5 reps of sumo dead lifts. I worked up to 315lbs, my sumo form needs A LOT of practice but it helped get the hips “loose”.

Conventional Dead Lifts

Back was fired up today, power wasn’t there.

4in Deficit Pulls

Jeff had me focus on speed pulls from a 4in platform, longer range of motion. My speed wasn’t quite there but they felt fast and a lot better than my regular pulls.

and guess what, I was able to hit 405lb at a deficit..


Accessory Work

Jeff had me do a little circuit for finish up because I was short on time.  The circuit was GHR (Glute hamstring raises) these were BRUTAL for me, 4 sets of 10 reps, I would then run over to the hyper-extension and do 10 reps (with a 20lb chain around my neck). By the end of that circuit I was sucking air.


Officially at the one week mark now with Fortitude and I am enjoying the ride, I know most products of this nature take nearly two weeks before you start feeling/seeing the results but I can see/feel the results already. I am also sleeping better than I have in a long time, very deep, undisturbed sleep, waking feeling refreshed.

I will weigh myself in one week.
