Strawberry Banana Muscle Milk is half off!

Strawberry Banana Muscle Milk is half off!

If you’re a Muscle Milk fan, you’ve come to the right place!

Today, we spotted a deal on 2.47lbs of strawberry banana flavor for just $13.70!

What’s the Catch?

The catch is that it expires June 15.

It’ll still be fine after that, but once you open this, you’ll want to tear through it quickly. Most Muscle Milk flavors taste great, so that shouldn’t be a problem. We haven’t had strawberry banana flavor though.

What’s in Muscle Milk?

As it says on the label — “Contains no milk!” — but it does have plenty of milk based products. Here’s our little review of the ingredient label:

In each serving, you get the following:

Strawberries and Bananas

Will it taste like this? Maybe……….. but probably not!

  • 32g protein – from calcium and sodium caseinate, milk protein isolate and/or concentrate, whey protein isolate and/or concentrate, whey peptides, lactoferrin, l-glutamine, taurine

Note that the l-glutamine and l-taurine amounts are not disclosed on the label, and may be counted towards the protein number. This is known as amino acid spiking, and while we’re not sure if Cytosport is doing it here, we’re just saying that it’s possible.

The good news is that we imagine that it’s a small amount of glutamine and taurine because the ingredient in front of it, lactoferrin, is costly. It’s also an incredible ingredient.

  • 19g carbohydrates – 5g fiber and 4g sugar.

The carbs are coming from all over the place in this one. You have some naturally occurring carbs in the protein, but then there’s also maltodextrin, malted milk powder, soluble corn fiber, and crystalline fructose. This is obviously not a clean profile, but I think you’re well aware of that when you buy this product

  • 12g fat – 6g saturated.

That’s from the lean lipids blend which contains sunflower oil, medium chain triglycerides, and canola oil. Again, not the cleanest or most natural profile.

The verdict?

I can’t tell you if you’ll like this. At this point, Muscle Milk’s been out long enough that you should know what you’re getting yourself into with the ingredient profile and how it will fit with your macros.

But if you’re a Muscle Milk fan and you know it, or you’re bulking and lookin for something tasty on the cheap, look no further.
